I Have previously reviewed this property and had given it 1 star. I was contacted by the Hotel (via a response to my review) however, I declined to answer. I did have an occasion to revisit the hotel - without the knowledge of the hotel manager. Since my previous review work has been completed on a new bar and restaurant - The food was excellent, it also meant that the chaos in the foyer - and the ability to get something to eat has been resolved. The room I stayed in was clean - there is still ... Read more

First time back, since the changeover from maldron. Great atmosphere in the hotel, staff were very attentive. Like bed the new look rooms. Small problem with the shower, pressure and temperature changes, and breakfast area is too small when it's busy.

Lovely hotel, staff very friendly and helpful, room clean and breakfast great. About 20 mins drive from the ferry port cost is about ?30 but bus stop right outside and tram stop (cheeverstown) a 15-20 min walk from hotel. Didn't use the bus as you need change and we only had notes but tram was cheap and ran every 10 minutes to the city and quick too. Mcgettigans restaurant next to hotel was lovely and staff there were brill!! Hotel was just what we wanted from our stay and reasonably priced to... Read more

Spot on hotel with easy access to city centre, nice breakfast, clean comfortable room. All good. Nice touch of chocolates and robes when we mentioned the anniversary. Staff were helpful and the chophouse across the way looked spot on although we didn't eat there.

Stayed with coach party. Rooms well equipped and comfortable; but too hot despite having windows open and radiator on cold ! Tea/ coffee making facilities disappointing as no biscuits! Evening meal was a set menu with choices- but standard was good but a bit bland- I prefer thai curry with a bit of a kick. Went down to evening meal to find queue at bar, when I asked a receptionist if drinks could be ordered in dining room she had no idea! So queued! By the time I got to the bar I overhear... Read more

Stayed here for one night while attending a concert in the city. The hotel is modern and well maintained. It's located 15 minute walk to the nearest Luas stop. There is secure underground parking which is great. Would stay here again. We didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on the food.

Lovely hotel. Clean and with decent sized rooms. We arrived quite late on Friday evening. Special mention goes Danelle, duty manager, for arranging food and drink for two hungry and weary travellers. Overall the hotel decor and common areas were of high standard. Staff were attentive and efficient. The selection of options available for breakfast was good. The cooked breakfast let the side down a little as it was not very warm. And there was not a fried or boiled egg option. Otherwise a very enj... Read more

My wife and I stayed here one Thursday night, and needed to leave a car there for the weekend. She had been attending a conference in Citywest, and so had driven down that morning, I drove down that evening after work. She had a slight problem with her booking (not the hotel's fault!), and told me Dylan at reception was extremely helpful and resolved the issue. Because I had driven separately and we were travelling together to stay with relatives for the weekend. Could we leave a car there for ... Read more

Friendly staff, clean & decent standard room, good parking, easy check-in & check-out process. The cooked Breakfast was a bit over-cooked, probably as items were kept too long in the heated containers.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Room was very nice beds were very comfortable. Hotel staff was very friendly and very helpful. Would definitely stay there again. Made our vacation very enjoyable! Even though it is approximately a 20-minute ride from City Center, the location of the Hotel still offers the ability to get to the city center via bus,buy a tram, which is a fifteen-minute walk from the hotel or by cab. Breakfast is offered but for a small fee. Mcgettigan's restaurant is right next door.

Needed a hotel close to Crumlin Hospital. The Kingswood was in an ideal location. Staff very friendly, especially the dining room girls who engaged with my 4 year old boy very well. Hotel itself comfortable and very easy to get to. No problem recommending this hotel.

Fine example of a well run hotel, very helpful staff, lovely rooms, first class resturant, so easy to find & then access to Dublin , 10mins away. If you are looking for a comfortable stay, this is your hotel.

Hotel was very nice and the front desk was very helpful. The rooms were spacious. Our bathroom did smell of urine but I think it was just an issue in our room (and we didn't say anything since we were there for 1 night). We were far from downtown Dublin but the bus was conveniently located.

Stayed for 2 nights. Very polite and welcoming staff who had a good knowledge of the area and travel routes - which for me as a terrible tourist was a massive help. Clean room, great food and pleasant atmosphere. Slightly out of the way of the centre, however getting leap passes as soon as arriving were more than convenient to get to and from locations as there was a bus stop directly outside the hotel.

Stayed here from 3 -5 July. It's a good way out of Dublin. Taxi was ?25 but there is an hourly bus to Dublin city (stops just outside hotel)?3.30 & it takes 45minutes. The room had everything: plenty of pillows, hairdryer, trouser press, iron. It even had hand wash & lotion plus a bar of soap. The shower area had body wash/shampoo & conditioner. The staff were very polite & helpful. If you don' t mind being out of town this is the hotel to go to. Only gave it 4 stars because of it's locatio... Read more

Hotel is nice and rooms are very modern and very clean . There is a really great restaurant attached that we had drinks at around the bar. The barman Connor was fantastic and so was the atmosphere. There is a bus stop 50m from the front entrance and bus comes every hour and is about 40 minutes into the city. The only reason this hotel doesnt get a 5 is there is no mini or fridge in the room, the breakfast was very average and we had an exhaust fan in our bathroom that didnt work, we did ask fo... Stayed at Kingswood Hotel Wednesday 6th July for one night B&B basis. Hotel is well located 10mins from M50, rooms are spacious, clean and well fitted out. Underground parking is secure, and the breakfast buffet provided a good choice of cold and hot food (Danish pastries to die for). The reception staff are the best thing about this hotel, at check in we were served by a young Irish gentleman who was very humorous and made us feel very welcome. At check out Jose was very polite and genuinely wa... Read more

Really comfortable, modern hotel with good sized rooms and good bathroom. Very secure underground parking. Superb restaurant next door for dinner. First class buffet breakfast. Almost impossible to fault. Location is a bit far out from city centre but comment is intended as an observation - not a criticism. Would definitely use again and will recommend to colleagues. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Had a terrible time finding this place, it was not clearly addressed and the GPS just couldn't find it, finished up calling the hotel and the receptionist proved to be very helpful in giving directions so after 2 hours driving we finally made it and it was well worth the wait, the staff were friendly and accommodating the hotel was clean and the amenities were as described. one downside during the heatwave was no air-conditioning so the rooms can get stuffy.

We arrived very late at night, but welcomed with a great mannor, we were checked in and sent on to room 118. Room was lovely, but maybe too warm with it being all shut up on the warmer dublin day. We were bedded and up late, we heard the house keeping staff going about but they didnt disturb us. The bed was comfy, the room fully equiped but the let down for this room was the road noise, we couldnt keep the window open which of course didnt help the stuffyness. The next day we asked to be move... Read more

The hotel itself was great, very spacious rooms! All the usual amenities that you may need such as; hair dryer, kettle, towels, safe, WI-FI even a trouser press! Breakfast was very good too! Two downsides for us though... the hotel itself was a little to far away for our liking, it was about 45 mins on a bus into the main Dublin Centre and the buses were only every hour, or the other option was the tram but that was a 20 minute walk down the dual carriageway to get to the tram station! It is just off the Naas road and convenient to Dublin City and is just outside the city so easy to go down the country if needed as we did. The room was clean and quite big and had everything you needed. The breakfast was good and the staff friendly. There is free secure parking too so the car is safe. I have stayed at the Danielli in Venice and the George Cinq in Paris at 1500 euros each a night. I am not sure either provide the customer service the staff here do. Stayed for a fortnight which included my birthday. Feeling miserable and alone I turned round as two staff sang happy birthday and presented me with this cake. Brilliant, made my day. Ate at the new restaurant most days where the specials are good value. As ever the staff were brilliant. Look forward to my next visit.
