This is a great little boutique hotel. It's well located just behind the Odeon which is a great finishing pub. It's about a 15 minute walk from Grafton and all the great shopping and night life there. The room was great. Ours had a great sky light that really controlled the light and temperature in the room. The breakfast was great and had a good variety. The only slight negative would be that the coffee was ok, not great but the Art of Coffee and Starbucks are a 2 minute walk. The staff was... Read more

we spent 1 night at the Generator Hostel before going to Galway, and 1 night at the Kilronan House. Both are very different, I have to say that my stay in the Kilronan House was my favourite. We were welcomed with a delicious Irish Coffee. The owner (or manager) is a young lady very competent and super nice. The assigned us a very big room, Soo beautiful, plenty of antiques, you could feel the history of the family. It was spotless and we slept very well. The breakfast is served in the main hous... Lovely hotel with a bed and breakfast atmosphere. We were greeted upon arrival with an Irish Coffee and lovely conversation with the host in the sitting room. Great breakfast. Centrally located. Close to St Stephen's Green.

Our group of 6 took 3 rooms for 2 nights. The facilities were generally very nice, though one of our group had a room in the basement on the hallway between the kitchen and the breakfast room, which was very noisy in the morning. Another room had a fair amount of noise from the street, though the room we had was quiet. The staff are great, and very helpful with suggestions for meals. Breakfast is plentiful, well prepared and presented, and delicious. The location is fantastic, an easy walk to mo... Read more

Il loved the furnitures, the decoration and the kindness and all staff disponibilities. The breakfast were good and very complete (especially with salmon and boiled eggs) But we didn't remark when we booked, that there were no toilets in the room. So all the nights long, a real problem to eliminate the thousands of Guinesses drunk ! Next time we'll choose this house again but with independant toilets. And may be a computer at the disposal in the place near the chimney. Thanks again for all the s... Read more

We loved our stay at the Kilronan House! It was a beautiful guesthouse within walking distance from the main areas of Dublin. It had nice sized rooms for being two old homes and had a very comfortable bed! The only thing would be to ask for an extra blanket if you are a blanket hog like me, my husband and I took turns stealing it each night because it as a small blanket. Besides that very small detail, I have nothing bad to say about the hotel! It provides a delicious breakfast which I was unawa... Read more

My adult son and I stayed for 3 nights. The staff was very nice and helpful with tours and scheduling taxi back to airport. Full breakfast is included and was very good. Only drawback was no air conditioning, had to leave window open, so bring earplugs( not a noisy area but cars do drive by )Was within walking distance to St. stephen's park and Grafton st., the Archeology museum.... No elevator if that's an issue.

Stayed here for two nights for a wedding. Romi and Xavier are excellent Hosts and made you feel very welcome. We took the Air Coach from the airport (14 Euros) and it dropped us off on Lower Leeson St This is an excellent way to travelling from the A\airport as its does drops off along the main drag and its a ten min walk to Guest House. We had a triple room £110 incl breakfast for two nights is excellent value. Breakfast you have a choice from the menu and its doesn't disappoint. All served su... Read more

As a single traveller you pretty much expect the smallest room available. The room I had was SMALL. But it made me giggle every time I walked in. There was a sitting room, or rather a chair in an alcove, I had to crawl over my bed to get to it, but it was there if I wanted it. The single bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was clean (and also tiny). For the two nights I stayed it suited me just fine. The breakfasts were excellent and the staff were wonderful.

Stayed here for 3 nights after arrival to Dublin in April and 3 nights prior to departure in May. Our rooms were on top floors of both buildings, in the rear. Very quiet (except for others in the hallways late at night), adequate cleanliness and comfort, nice breakfast, walkable to 80% of the major sights in Dublin. If you stay here, note that there are some nice restaurants with fewer tourists about 3 blocks west of here on Richmond St. As noted by others, very reasonable luggage roll from/to A... Read more

The block of Kilronan House is nice, but the next block is a little scary for tourists. The hotel itself is beautiful and well maintained. Romi was great! Breakfast was delicious, and my Irish Coffee was divine, perfect afternoon treat on a damp day.

We stayed in Kilronan House for 3 nights in June. The hospitality is absolutely fabulous. They not only allowed us an early check in , but also served us tea and biscuits, cake while we waited. We really appreciated this gesture. Breakfasts are absolutely divine. I would specially recommend the home made pancakes served with home made compote -I requested a bacon as accompaniment, and this was complied with. Everything fresh, and delectable! The location is fabulous -minutes from the beautiful ... Read more

Came to Dublin to visit our daughter and we stayed 8 days. Selected B&B as best in the area. Room was bright and clean, and quiet. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Full breakfast. Our room did not have an opening window but had a skylight that opened. A little more ventilation would give it 5 stars.

We stayed here in 1999 and loved it. It changed hands, and grew, and the staff changed...but the hospitality was as good as before. I do have to say that the "full Irish" breakfast was less greasy than I remember it, but just as good.We stayed in the annex next door and got a lovely room at lower price. It was a treat to meet one of the young new owners. We needed a cab and it came in three minutes. However, it is only a short walk from the Lower Lesson Aircoach stop. It's a short and pleasant w... We stayed at the Kilronan for three nights. What a great place! The staff was so helpful and caring. Our room was great - extremely clean and comfortable. Great bed! The breakfasts were excellent and offered several choices of items. Location was a few minutes walk from St. Stephens Green and other places to visit. Our room was on the second floor and there is no lift, so those who have trouble climbing stairs should ask for a first floor room. Not too fond of Dublin or other "big" cities... Read more

Staff are very helpful and knowledgeable about the area and places to visit. Parking is limited and is done by the staff as the space is narrow. Room was clean and well serviced. Shower is a little small for me but good water pressure and plenty of hot water. Breakfast is ample although the dining room can be cramped at times. Free Irish coffee all day. you only have to ask. We would use this hotel again.

We arrived early and they luckily had a room clean for us. We were able to get showered and enjoy our day. The food was good and location was perfect. It was quiet at night and there were fans in the room as it was unusually warm. The wifi on the 3rd floor is a bit spotty though.

Our reception was so welcoming when we got there, the young man took our luggage (we got their early) stored it for us and had us sit down for tea while we waited for our room to get ready. He carried our luggage to our room, our room was clean, and we had everything we needed there. the Service was outstanding and we felt like going home every night! Definitely would recommend this B & B!

There was nothing that was particularly great or terrible about our stay. The hotel was located a distance from shopping and pubs in Dublin, so it was a bit of a walk to find places to eat. This was made more difficult as parking was challenging; they have an off-street parking that, while great that we didn't have to pay for parking, was not convenient as the staff needed to move other cars in order for us to access our car. The room we stay in (a triple), smelt of mildew, but was, otherwise... Read more

Romi and the other three fellows working were wonderful. So welcoming and generous. We appreciated the nice neighborhood street near St Stephen's Green. Also, our room was huge for us. We liked the high ceiling and big windows in the front of the house. An inviting way to start our trip.

Staff were very polite and helpful. Breakfast was good, like a country B&B. The room was fairly small and cramped, and old in its furnishings. The entry and stairs could do with a professional paint job and some general repairs. The location is a 30 minute walk from the centre, or a few minutes by taxi. A plus is the 757 airport express bus stops right across the road.

We found the location convenient and central; it's near St. Stephen's Green and the National Museums. It is easy to catch a bus...We purchased a 3-day pass for under 20 euro. The staff is helpful and the breakfast is decent. The problem is that the room was not kept up. The carpet was dirty; the paint was peeling; there was just 1 chair and the room was fairly small. The wall heater was broken, so we could not turn it off. There is no air conditioning and the air flow with the window open was no... Read more

This is a lovely Hotel/B&B. The rooms were comfortable and light. Breakfast was typical Irish, plenty to eat, When returning from a day out, and you went to the lounge, A cup of tea or coffee would always be offered at no cost. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the main streets of Dublin. If we revisit Dublin we would certainly stay here.

Our family of five really enjoyed our stay at Kilronan house. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. Our room was comfortable, great windows. Breakfast in the dining room was lovely with lots of delicious options. Easy to get on the Luas right around the corner and only one stop to St. Stephen's Green and Grafton Street. And the bus from Dublin Airport stops right outside! Our only minor criticism is that the sitting room in "our" house (right next door - very easy) should be rearranged... Read more

Located in a quiet neighbourhood one block south of Iveagh Gardens and the National Concert Hall, Kilronan House makes a good base for a stay in Dublin. You are about 10-15 minutes‚?? walk from the heart of the south bank core and Dublin is a great walking city. If you aren‚??t up to that much walking, good transit connections (buses on Leeson St. and LUAS streetcar on Harcourt St.) still make Kilronan an appealing choice.
