May be 'just outside' the city but bus ride was almost 40 minutes going through various estates. Room was clean but no mini bar there was a vending machine in hall way but no drinks so no way to have cold drink after bar closed at midnight (no residents bar) reception area looked nice but restaurant staff were ignorant food overpriced especially the breakfast I was told full would be a 'full Irish' but had no black/white pudding. I not stay here again

Came for 3 nights for my partner's 30th. Hotel staff were very friendly and even upgraded us when I emailed before arrival about it being a celebration. Bus stop right outside and costs â?¬2.70 to go right into the centre of Dublin. Breakfast was lovely and the room was always cleaned well. Thank you for a great stay :)

We stayed here for an overnight stop before traveling on. Friendly staff, clean room, good food, view of the prison and an untidy housing estate from the window, and has a large car park. The hotel is good and I would stay overnight to travel by train into Dublin, but the area lets the hotel down.

Loved the powerful hot shower. Comfortable bed, lousy view of a debris-strewn field, annoying need to keep the room key in the wall in order to keep the lights on! Breakfast buffet was mostly fine, decent variety for a multi-day stay, except I think the scrambled eggs are from a powdered source, judging by their texture. Bartender at night is slow. Reliable WiFi in room and lounge, included. Bus stop for 79A right in front of the hotel can take you to Temple Bar - Aston Quay stop. Yes, it t... Read more

I was impressed by the friendly, helpful and natural approach of all staff. Dinner offered an extensive menu and was very good, and I slept well in a spacious clean room. Cannot ask for more, especially in a Dublin hotel.

After an exhausting 4 hrs. journey from Donegal to Aspect Hotel in Dublin I was welcomed by 2 smiled ladies Sylvia & Gosha, very bubbly and polite. They put a smile on my face and I decided to write a review about it. The only one thing I would improve is a food. I'm qualified food technologist and I pay attention to the taste of orange juice in the morning. I could taste a water. Thank you

Travelling on business and faced with a delayed flight I arrived at the hotel a little late. Upon arrival I was unable to access the hotel and was eventually let in by a guest. I had to ring the hotel as there was no-one on reception with no way of getting their attention. Was provided with a twin smoking room (I presume it was smoking as there was an unpleasant smell and ashtray in the room) even though I had booked a double non smoking. Called reception and was told they were full when I knew ... Read more

I spent a Friday night in the hotel last month . Found the room to be very basic no extra home comforts but it was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Shower was a good strong power shower! The food in the evening was nice .... in the morning the breakfast was a lot to be desired ... the scrambled eggs were like porridge and the orange Juice machine .... throw it out... these are basics ...

room was clean but hot - i was able to get a fan from reception. Food was very POOR especially breakfast. I don't know what the yellow juice drink is but it's not orange juice. I said this to a member of staff and was told it was the end of the container, the next day the juice tasted the same

CONS On arrival was informed that the booking website (booking.com) does not take payment and neither does the hotel prior to check in, so had to unexpectedly pay on arrival. Was not informed during the booking process the hotel has two out of the six which permit smoking, and I was booked into one of the 'smoking' floors (hence the cheap price I think) which was putrid! Cable flex on the iron had exposed wires which had been covered by cellotape! Mattress was hard and pillows uncomfortable. ... Read more

This is a very nice hotel for the money. It is outside the city centre, so if you stay here, you must find a method of transport to the city, and there are many available. They helped us by having a room available for early check in to put our luggage so we could sight see for a day. We had six rooms all together and no problems. Would definitely stay again.

The Aspect Parkwest hotel was recommended to me by friends who had stayed there. Rooms were spacious and the shower the best we have found in two weeks. Restaurant and bar were well patronised with the food and drink well priced. The 79A Dublin bus leaves from across the road and is in the centre of Dublin in 30 mins - you catch the same 79A bus home and it stops at the front door, Staff very welcoming and efficient. Overall a great place to stay if you don't want the hustle and bustle of Dublin... Read more

Stayed here whilst working in Dublin over the weekend. Bed was super comfy and pizzas in the bar were amazing. 20 minutes drive to the RDS arena with free parking behind the hotel. I heard the receptionist mention there was also a free shuttle to the city centre, which was great because the location is in a quiet industrial location just outside of Dublin. Breakfast serving times change at the weekends so be wary of this if you have to leave early in the morning due to commitments which may me... Read more

Stayed at the hotel two weekends again at first I wasn't too sure I booked the right hotel due to the location but I was wrong there is a 79a bus right outside the hotel which takes you 30-40 mins to get into the city and there is also a train that will take you into Houston station then take the Luas. All Staff were great and friendly. Michael on the reception is fantastic very pleasant has a great smile, we will definitely be back again

The hotel is situated in a business park but conveniently close to a railway station with a direct link into Dublin. A typical business hotel, clean but lacks charm. Caters a lot for coach parties which can create congestion in public areas.

Easy to get to, easy access to the train into Dublin. Bar was ok, restaurant was good. The manager was extremely friendly and helpful to us. We will stay here again when we are near Dublin! Our room was on the 5th floor, with a view of a pasture with horses in it. The hotel is outside of the city, but a short train ride into it.

I stayed in the Aspect hotel on a business trip. Receptionist was pleasant and informative. The rooms were adequate. Very well cleaned. Very nice shower. It was very warm on the night I stayed and therefore, without air conditioning the room itself was extremely warm. The hotel lobby, bar and restaurant areas were quiet busy in the evening. I had food in the bar in the evening which was nice. Breakfast was buffet style and had a decent selection. There is very little around this hotel, however, ... Read more

The hotel is outside Dublin City Centre (5 miles) on the outskirts of Ballyfermot (a council estate with a bad reputation but we didn't encounter any problems). We bought a Freedom Bus ticket at the airport travel information desk (who were very helpful) for 2 adults and 2 children costing 98 Euros. This gave us access to use on the bus from the airport to the city, all the Dublin buses and the hop on off tours on the open top buses for our 3 day stay (I'm not convinced it was value for money bu... We stayed for three nights, rooms were clean. Staff were very pleasant and accommodating. Would recommend for a mid range hotel. Pizza's are very good as is the seafood chowder. If you choose to have your window open at night then you can hear people outside who are smoking, but this may not be as bad if you are renting a room on the upper floors, but you cannot hear any other noise. Not a hotel you can rave about but also you cannot complain about it, as there was nothing to complain about.

Stayed here two nights on my own. The room was very spacious and very clean. There was not a lot of noise and the room had a view at the back of the hotel. The only thing is public transport. There is a train and a bus, true, however the trains and buses are not very frequent on Sundays. The first bus out is at 10:00am, same for the train, so since I had a tour starting at 8:00am I had to get a cab and that was about â?¬18 just to get to Heuston st.
