We enjoyed a wonderful meal whilst listening to Shane's set. He was fantastic and so was the salmon & steak. I would highly recommend this pub. It is big, well managed and makes for a lively night out.

My husband and I booked a table for the Celtic Night on our visit to Dublin this weekend. We were unsure what to expect, however we were very pleasantly surprised. The night consists of a 3 course meal followed by music and dancing. There was a good choice of food and it tasted excellent. Our waitress was very cheery and friendly which also made the evening a success. As for the music and dancing - wow it was just fantastic. Talk about feel good listening to the music, certainly got the fe... Read more

The Arlington has a super location. Across the river from the publands of Temple Bar, and does an OK inclusive show down in the "cellar". Book early to get a good seat for the dinner show. Rooms are fair, but make sure you a get a room as far up as possible. The non-traditional music from the ground floor slams upwards and keeps thumping til two o'clock. The ground floor bar is not a romantic redo of ancient Ireland, but they pour a good pint. Full Irish breakfast was very good and served with c... Read more

Arlington by O'Connell Bridge is a hotel with a great atmosphere. Doesn't look much from the outside, however its huge inside with a large sports bar, dance floor and great entertainment every evening (live bands and solo singers). Couldn't fault the breakfast (10 euros) although for the price we paid we thought that this should have been included (£150 per room per night, 2 sharing). Rooms have the things you need however are not the Hilton, but can't complain. Bin men and deliveries will ... Read more

Massive room, although we did have a quad room. Which was made up of 2 single beds pushed together and another 2 singles separate. We were on the 3rd floor with a naff view but we were at the back of the hotel. Slept very well, apart from some outside noises late on. Bathroom was small but very clean. Everything we needed, iron, hairdryer, safe, kettle and coffees etc. Excellent breakfast facilities with very friendly happy staff. Staff were very helpful overall letting me print tickets off. My... Just checking out after staying here for two days. The location is excellent few minutes walk to all Temple Bar area, O'Connell Street, hop on buses and airport link. Arrived early and left our bags and went off sightseeing. Our room was still not ready when we went back so we sat out front by the river in the sun. We had a 2nd floor room facing the river very spacious king size bed was very comfortable. Quite noisy with traffic and late night revellers but it didn't bother us at all, you ar... Read more

You can't beat the location. The hotel itself is in need of refurbishment. The Carpeting in the hallways is in bad need of replacement. The shower size is ridiculously small. The Staff is nice enough, but I wouldn't recommend this place.

You would have a hard time finding a better location than the Arlington. You can walk to any location in the downtown core. Lots of places with local talent are a short walk away or the bar at the Arlington has local music. Checkin was seamless. The room itself was small. Two people could not move around in the bathroom. The bed did not provide good support and the shower mixing valve was cantankerous. To the hotels credit, when we were leaving we brought these issues to their attention and they... Read more

I just spent 8 days in Ireland with the last 4 in Dublin. This was my first international trip. The Arlington Hotel O'Connell bridge has the best location, as you are close to literally everything. The room was nice, but if you wanted to relax and watch the TV for a bit before turning in, the tv was next to the bed and not across from it. Also, the hair dryer stopped working on day 3 (I survived). The hotel staff were extremely helpful the entire time, and very accommodating. I had accidentall... Read more

We stayed here a few years ago when the Irish dancing was held upstairs and really enjoyed it, now you have to pre-book a meal and sit downstairs, which to be fair we didn't do so I can't rate the dancing. There was a singer in the upstairs bar who was excellent (24 June). We stayed in the bar and had a couple of very good cocktails. Then a band camel on......very,very loud drummer!! I like rock music but it beat me, we had to leave to save our ears! I think they could have been very good if... Read more

Right off the bat, the hotel earns a point or two for location: it's very hard to beat the O'Connell bridge, which is arguably the heart of town. Step out of the hotel to be meters away from Hebden Bridge, Grafton Street, a fun deal of foot and auto traffic, pubs, restaurants (including a very authentic Eddie Rocket's diner for the homesick U.S. visitor), coffeeshops, and more. However, the hotel itself had some quirks for which I felt the need to take away some points. Firstly, there are no ele... Read more

A great hotel for our extended family. The family suite was perfect as was the location. We ltilized the hop on/hop off bus and walked to the Temple Bar area with no problems. We had a day trip planned for the day we checked out so we didn't know what we would do with our bags, but they happily stored them for free in their luggage hold. I had to wait behind a few problematic customers who did not know how to check into a hotel apparently. I had to wait 30 minutes to check in but it wasn't the hotel staffs fault it was the other hotel guest. The rooms are spacious if a bit dated. We spent 2 nights at the hotel before going on a cruise. The location is across the O'Connell Bridge from Temple Bar, but close to it & Trinity College. There is also a lot to see on the hotel's side of the river and everything you want to explore in Dublin is within walking distance. It's listed as a 3 star but may be a bit better than that. Our room was large and very comfortable. The hotel's restaurant is quite good (see separate reviews for the restaurant & bar.)

Had to stay here for one night, because all the reasonable places were overbooked. The interior needs a touch up, and the bathroom is not too pleasant. Although the room is quite clean. The place is more or less ok, but my two points for the review are based on the extremely bad sound isolation - I have an early morning activity planned and it is absolutely impossible to sleep, even with a window closed - I'm still trying!Perhaps, it's just a matter of the room you get. The location of this hotel is great. Right across from the River Liffey, around the corner from O'Connell Street. Everything you need is close by: buses, restaurants, bars, shopping, movies - you name it! The room I had was small, but it was big enough for me as a solo traveller. dreadful service. Arrived after 38 hours travel from Aus at 11.30 am to be told that checkin was 3.00 pm, no way it was going to be earlier, front office people most unhelpful, in fact were quite rude. Hotel overall was expensive, run down and certainly not recommended. Breakfast was however good and location ok

Pros: The location of the hotel is great, you can walk to the temple bar in five minutes. Well so rounded by restaurants coffee shop and tourist information. The family room is quite big. Cons: Old hotel, the entrance is very dark and old fashion. It is clean however it needs new bathrooms.
