We arrived at Albany House a couple hours before check-in, weary from an all night flight from the US. The Staff immediately welcomed us in and had a room ready to go for us. I cannot emphasize enough how nice it was to be welcomed this way and allowed to check in so early. To add to this, the location is ideal for getting a great price on a room and still being able to easily walk to St. Stephen's Green, Grafton Street, Temple Bar and more. Our room was high above the street and we didn't h... Read more

This hotel was booked through a package deal so I wasn't really sure what to expect. The other hotel we had through the vacation package in London was excellent. This hotel is okay. We ended up getting a room in the bottom corner of the house so we had a view of a brick wall and constantly heard the rumbling of the tram right above us. There was also a lot of noise coming from the night club down the street. My husband thought an angry mob was forming at one point. The room was clean, but very o... Read more

Albany House is a very nice hotel, very well placed (near de centre of the city). The acommodations were all very clean and well treated. The room was full enough for the propose and the bathroom well equiped. Breakfast is a good option (although variety could be larger). I still think that it was a very good option for my stay.

This is a really excellently-located hotel, with a very clean and tidy room. The staff were incredible - I woke at about 4 am and had a terrible headache but no water to take a tablet - I went to the reception area to ask if perhaps a shop was open nearby, and the guy there went to the kitchen and got me two big glasses of water. I know this doesn't seem extraordinary, but it was just so thoughtful! I had expected a very noisy hotel, given the Harcourt St. location, but this was not the case at ... Read more

As others have written, this place is walkable distance from city center, airport bus stop, etc. For us the "continental" breakfast was lovely after 3 weeks of classical Irish breakfasts (meat, meat, eggs, meat); there were a variety of unusual cheeses and breads, fruit salad, etc. I was initially disappointed when given a basement room, as the view was of a back alley complete with a discarded toilet, but when we closed the curtains we were left with a very spacious room, including a desk for c... The property is undergoing some remodeling or work so there were service people in the main lobby entrance when we were there, but nothing too inconvenient. The staff were very friendly and the rooms nice enough though they could use softer pillows (but that is only me). The location is pretty central and they have a wonderful breakfast selection.

Albany House is very well located, a 10 minute walk to the city centre, a 5 minute walk to the restaurants and pubs in Wexford Street and only a couple of minutes to St Stephen's Green. The rooms are spacious with firm beds and stylish bathrooms. Shower water pressure was excellent and the nice range of toiletries was a bonus. Our room was on the ground floor at the front and should be avoided by those who are light sleepers. Breakfast was continental but with ample choice including a wide range... Read more

Our best sleep in 2 weeks! Clean and comfortable in a converted set of Georgian Townhouses. Reception staff were helpful and courteous. Breakfast included fruit, cold cereal, juice, bread/toast and tea or coffee. Best coffee i have had in ireland as well. Our room was at the back so was reasonably quiet. Rooms at the front might be noisy since the Luas tracks run in front. Location is great, a very short walk to St Stephens Green. 20 minutes or so to walk to Temple Bar.

Went for a night in Dublin, and had a nice stay. The front desk was very helpful, and my room was ready early, and they were to hold my luggage the next day cause I left Dublin after check out time. It was in a nice location by St. Stephan's Green, and I was able to walk to the different locations I wanted to visit.

The hotel's interior has seen better days, but on our checkout day, we did notice new carpet going down in the lobby area. There also seemed to be a lot of refurbishment going on, so perhaps the upgrades will up their rating if we were to return. Our first room, #15, was downstairs. It was spacious, but around 6:30 am, we started to hear noises on the floor above. It got worse and worse. We were under the breakfast area. The noise became intolerable. We were moved to a quieter room down the ha... Read more

I stayed here for 2 nights. It is conveniently located right by St. Stephen's Green Park and Grafton Street and St. Stephen's Shopping Center. They don't have elevators so you have to lug your luggage up and down the stairs. I had to go down 2 flights of stairs with my luggage so it was a bit of a work out. They do have free wifi which you have to ask them for the login and daily passwords that expire after 24 hours. Breakfast is included, but the food is so-so: cereals, yogurt fruits, coffee, t... This place is centrally located a bit away from the craziness of Temple Bar and near The university. The room was adequate but a bit noisy from street sounds and a nearby nightclub. It was warm so the window needed to be open as there is no air conditioning. The highlight was the breakfast which was excellent.

i read the reviews before booking, so I asked for a quiet room away from the street noise, which was key! The Georgian home is very quirky which adds to its charm. Our room was very large and actually had 2 bathrooms and a large living room/sitting area. The price was very reasonable for Dublin, and you can't beat the location - close to everything! Continental breakfast was fine.

You will see in some of these reviews that Albany House is a little old and faded. And that's true. If that matters to you, this may not be your thing. But we found it delightful. Its location is just about perfect, near St. Stephen's Green, Grafton Street, Trinity College and Temple Bar. We loved the Georgian architecture of the hotel and everything else on the street. We stayed in Room 102, which had enormous ceilings and a large window that was great to look out during a rainstorm. The bath... Read more

This is a very nice hotel located within walking distance of the Temple Bar area, shopping and St. Stephen's green. The hotel is definitely under construction as other reviewers have noted but it was not obnoxious or intrusive. It is close to nice shopping areas, great restaurants...and morning breakfasts were great! Ok, so lets start with the positives. The hotel is a mile or so from the heart of Dublin City Centre and is therefore a good base to explore all the major landmarks. First off, there are no problems with the hotel itself, the staff, the rooms, or the free breakfast. The location is also great if you are interested in walking into the old part of town to see the sights. There is, however, one serious problem in the neighborhood. On the other side of the street just a few doors up, is a nightclub. One would think that this would not be a problem, with that amount of separation.
