Friendly family run Hotel with a warm welcome. Located in beautiful suburbs of Dublin with nearby bus and Dart train links into the city. Also just a short walk from the coast. We would certainly agree that our breakfasts were to an award winning standard. Complimentary tea and coffee always offered at any time. The owner was very helpful giving us advice and tips about our visit into the city. All the staff made our stay very pleasurable. We would recommend Aberdeen Lodge to our family and frie... Read more

Well situated and close to restaurants and transportation. The staff was very helpful and the rooms were clean and spacious, including the bathrooms. The breakfast one not the greatest but adequate. The building is a little old and as such you can hear everybody moving or talking. There is plenty of parking and the ground are beautiful.

The lovely residential neighborhood sets the stage for a very nice small hotel. The staff, like the Lodge itself, is charming and attentive. While we were early for the room, the tea was ready, hot, and tasty.

This is a small hotel in a very exclusive neighbourhood a few miles out of the town centre and close to the beach. The bus is two minutes walk and the train about 5 minutes walk. The lovely village of Sandymount is about a 15 minute walk away and definitely worth a visit. The hotel staff are very attentive and courteous and offer a personal service from the minute you arrive. The rooms are clean and comfortable and bathrobes, slippers and toiletries are provided. Breakfast is cooked to order an... Read more

The property is situated in an absolutely beautiful, affluent part of Dublin full of brick Georgian mansions and is well situated near Sandymount and the sea. We had to wait a while for check in in a drawing room, where you are served tea/coffee and homemade biscuits as you wait. We didn't mind but it does say on the third party booking site we booked on that check in is at 2, we weren't checked in until after 3 having arrived at half 2. The house is super clean and airy. I had asked for a room ... Read more

We were greeted by Pat who immediately went to work helping us plan our Dublin visit. He had many helpful suggestions that made our visit to the city a pleasure. Our room was clean and comfortable and full of charm. The staff was very helpful even bringing us coffee and tea to our room when we returned for the evening. The dining area was elegant and breakfast was quite good. Thank you Pat for all of your hospitality!

Our innkeeper, Pat, was a gracious host, greeting us with tea, coffee and homemade cookies. We visited in the drawing room while our rooms were prepared. He gave us great ideas about where to go and where to eat during our stay. The Lodge is close enough to the subway to walk, as well as a great walkable town too. Excellent stay and breakfasts served with all the trimmings.

Standards remain as high as ever. Always a warm welcome with a cup of tea or coffee on offer. The bedroom was bright and cheerful and had everything we needed. Breakfast was delicious - always a treat and you get just what you ask for. And a brisk walk along the seafront. What more could you want!

I enjoyed a very comfortable and quiet two-day visit at the Aberdeen Lodge, which is located in a pleasant southern suburb of Dublin just ten minutes by commuter train from central Dublin. The staff are very helpful about providing suggestions for nearby restaurants and directions for the nearest DART station. They also offer a bountiful breakfast that can keep you going for most of the day. I look forward to my return visit!

We loved our stay at Aberdeen Lodge. They make you feel welcome and special from the moment you arrive. We also really enjoyed the location. Sandymount is a lovely part of Dublin, much nicer than staying in the city centre. It's very easy to get there, just a short train trip from Trinity college - which was great. I would definitely stay here again! There are also some nice restaurants and cafes in walking distance. We even ended up spending a nigh at the local pub and it was really nice. Our r... Read more

Spent 5 nights at Aberdeen Lodge & the location was perfect, nice & peaceful, but near enough to walk to some lovely bars & restaurants. The Dart train or the local bus was just around the corner, so very quickly able to commute into Dublin city. We where made to feel very welcome at the hotel, with a lovely breakfast each morning, & lots of advise on places to visit. Would highly recommend as a place to stay.

My wife and I could not have been more happy with our choice of Aberdeen Lodge for four nights in Dublin. The location was great. It was very easy to get in and out of the city from the south and it's a 1-2 block walk to the ocean. Sandymount, a great little center for shops, restaurants and pubs, is an easy ten minute walk. Just as easy was the ten minutes (or less) to the DART station. It's three stops to the Pearce station in the heart of Dublin. We took the bus in once and found the DA... Read more

We stayed two nights at Aberdeen Lodge in Dublin. Great hospitality and service with big smiles. The walls were slightly too thin you could hear the conversations next door. Great breakfast, and established clientele. Must take a walk in the beautiful garden.

We arrived at the Aberdeen Lodge after a long flight. We were greeted with tea and homemade cookies. The innkeeper was very friendly and we were able to check in early. The room was lovely and looked out over a pleasant tree-lines street. Breakfast was delicious - we ate so much that we were easily able to skip lunch. It was an easy walk into town.

My 3 night stay was a Virgin experience paid for by my company as a long service gift. Maybe because I was not actually paying for my stay personally I was not treated as well as some other visitors writing reviews here. On arrival we were supposed to be presented with Champagne, we were told we would have it later, we never saw this! Our room was not ready yet so we were offered another room. Unfortunately it was not a four poster bed room, or a room with a view of the garden as promised in th... Read more

We cannot express enough how much we loved Pat, as well as his staff. Each and every one of them goes above and beyond expectations. From helping with obtaining a rental car to hailing taxis, we never doubted that we were taken care of. As first time international travelers- that was important to us. The facility has a lot of character. Eclectic but clean. Our room was on the top floor and provided us with anything we may need. Free WiFi. Parking up front. A cozy, inviting yard out back. The... The Aberdeen Lodge exceeded our expectations for hospitality. After flying all night, it was wonderful to be greeted by the friendly staff who served us homemade cookies and tea. Located outside of Dublin in a quiet neighborhood, it was a quiet and relaxing retreat after the hustle and bustle of the nearby city. The staff at the lodge was exceptional. They were very friendly and helpful. Exhausted from sightseeing one night, the owner even volunteered to drive us into the nearby town and ... Read more

This was my first experience traveling to Ireland, and the staff at Aberdeen Lodge made it so easy and enjoyable! They booked a car for us from the airport to the hotel (definitely worth the ?35), and our driver was waiting for us in the airport arrival hall. We took the bus from Dublin airport and about a 10 min walk to the hotel. We arrived dripping wet from the rain but were given a very warm welcome with tea and staff made sure we knew where to go to make the most of our trip. We were given a map of the area to ensure we knew where the bus stop was and the dart station - both within easy walking distance. The hotel was clean and all staff were excellent even when we made it back early hours of the morning from singing in a traditional Irish pub... Read more

This is a friendly family-run bed and breakfast. The rooms are well decorated and cozy, the restrooms and plush with updated fixtures, but I think the best part of the stay was the breakfast. The number 1 bus line stops right by the hotel which offers easy access to downtown Dublin. I would definitely stay there again.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the lodge for 3 nights while I was in Dublin. While about 3 miles away from the city center, it was enjoyable to stay in a quiet residential area for some relaxation once I was done on my day tours or roaming around Dublin. The lodge itself, and my room were immaculately clean, especially the bathroom which I am very particular about. I was exceedingly thankful too that no matter what time I came in at night, I was always offered tea, which was brought... Read more

I recently stayed at the Aberdeen Lodge for 2 nights with my partner & couldn't fault it. The staff were so friendly, always offered us a tea or coffee and were very helpful when we had any questions about the local area.
