One of the lovely hotels that really got hit by the flooding in recent times but now have a flood barrier in place . I have conducted interviews and held company meetings here over the years and the staff are really helpful and accommodating to my needs. I was here in July 2015 for a romantic meal with the MRs and it was really good , food was superb and a few wine glasses later we grabbed a taxi back home . I recently celebrated my 30th Birthday with a spa day at the Kingsley and I couldn't recommend the place enough! From booking, to arrival to treatment and afternoon tea, the whole day was fantastic! Firstly the staff's friendliness, enthusiasm and extremely welcoming demeanour made this a day to remember, in particular the spa staff went above and beyond what anyone would expect! The Kingsley was very modern and clean. Front desk was very helpful and nice. Our room was clean and spacious. Very comfortable beds. We had buffet breakfast at the hotel and they had a good selection. The Kingsley had the best gym I have ever seen so far in a hotel. Only downside was that it was not close walking distance to city center, about 45 minutes walk.. Didn't bother us though...gave us time to eat and sober up after a night at the pubs!

We stayed in the superior double room, it's well worth the upgrade. Huge bathroom with bath and shower, robes in wardrobe and slippers. Very comfy bed. Room very clean. Restaurant excellent food, catered to dietary needs with view of the river. Spa is fantastic here, so many areas in the thermal suite and the outdoor hot tub/pool overlooking the river is lovely. Maybe the best spa I have been to! Staff were also very helpful. Will definitely be back!

We spent two nights here and the place was very good. The room overlooked the river and the old swimming baths which have long gone. The room was very bright and clean and worth the money. Front of house were helpful and the parking and WiFi were free. My only problem was that is does have a lot of tour buses and dinner on our first night was hectic, if you do not want to crowded by tour groups this may not be the place for you. Though we did not get a spa treatment, they have a very interesting and well appointed area w/ various steam rooms, saunas, indoor and outdoor heated pools and a hot tub. What you would expect from a four star hotel. Good, modern rooms. Nice spa too with an outdoor hydro pool. Breakfast was probably the best part, very wide range of food available, great views and attentive staff. If the price was a bit lower then I'd give it five stars!

Made a visit to Springboard restaurant in the Kingsley today for a catch up with some old friends. We received fantastic and friendly service from Barrie, Gavin and Muireann. The restaurant is a lovely setting overlooking the river Lee. The food was very tasty with good portions. We will definitely be returning for another relaxing afternoon.

I have stayed in many hotels over the years and this one beats them all. It is sitting on the banks of the river Lee. On a fine day it is s lovely walk into the city. Wifi is free. Plenty of parking is available. Rooms can be described as luxurious. The bathroom is a bathroom! It is spacious, had every amenity and a big bath! Towels were soft and plentiful. A safe is provided. The bed was comfortable with good quality soft linen. Sound proofing was excellent. I would have preferred a spotlight f... Read more

3rd visit to this hotel and I can't fault it. The rooms are really lovely with very comfortable beds. Bathrooms have both bath and separate shower and are much nicer than a normal hotel bathroom. Staff really nice too!! I've only had room service and breakfast but the food I've had has been excellent.

We had a couple customer service issues first time around, but management actively reached out to us and asked us to consider staying with them again. We did and are glad we did so. We had no major issues with check in (although the room was not ready by 3pm again) and the room was lovely and spacious on the top floor. This time we also visited the Spa which was amazing and I definitely recommend you fit this in. We headed straight there on arrival and our room key was left at the Spa receptio... Read more

Myself and my wife haven‚??t been away since before our last child was born.. over 2 years. We decided to book into the well-reviewed Kingsley Hotel on the lee road. Upon entry, it seemed amazing, the grand sculptures and sparkling reception. We had previously booked an upgraded Deluxe room and requested over the phone and in person a room in the upper floors facing the river (given we wanted a full night sleep for once! Ô?? ). Unfortunately there was a wedding, so could not be accommodated ... Read more

It's only 10min drive from cork city Centre but comes with free parking. We took the bus 208 to town ticket cost ‚?¨2.1. It is located by the river with nice views. Rooms are spacious, classic style decor and everything looks quite new. Definitely worth recommendation.

I had a family meal here for my graduation last year. It was a great choice as it is very close and accessible from UCC. Ten of us stayed here for two nights and it was straightforward to book for the group. We had a meal here and it was really good. Good choice even for fussy eaters. Also, it was very reasonable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Only negative: poorly planned for disabled/ wheelchair bound guests. Other than that, food and drink was nice and rooms were comfortable.

Not the most convenient hotel, because it seemed like we did a lot of walking to get anywhere in Cork. But the staff is very friendly and the hotel is very comfortable to come home to. The food in the restaurant was awesome! We needed a dinner like that after our drive down from Dublin. The room was on the small side, but it didn't fell claustrophobic. The only issue I had was with the bathroom. They need to rethink the design because it's not as functional as it could be. They need a towel rack... Read more

Stayed one night out of our 10 day Ireland drive about. Great room, lovely hotel.....but our room had an overpowering scent that my wife described as lavender and I thought "RAID". The hotel is a ways from City center and after a long day of driving we decided to eat there. GOOD CHOICE. The restaurant was excellent. Great service and food and ok on the budget. Also had breakfast the next morning and it was fabulous. If you don't mind being out of the ceter of things.....and that CAN be a good... Read more

There are a lot of things I liked about the Kingsley - stylish, clean and well-appointed rooms, coziness, great breakfast selection with cooked to order dishes and a nice buffet, convenient underground parking garage with direct lift to the rooms and friendly staff, huge bathroom with both a tub and a walk-in shower. One thing is, however, rather unforgivable at a luxury hotel and that is poor sound insulation! We were in a room on the 1st floor that had internal door leading to the adjoining ro... Read more

We stayed for one night , it's very expensive , but wanted to stay for a decent sized bed & a bath , we thought for the amount of money we paid that they would collect our luggage & take it to our room , but no we had to drag it all ourselves , my husband did two trips to the car , we were going to stay two nights but decided not to , thank goodness found a great place in Killlarney , cheaper & better service

We loved our one night stay at the Kingsley. It was a fabulous room, incredibly quiet and comfortable, lovely bathroom. The hot tub overlooking the River Lee outside is unforgettable! We were very pleased with the restaurant and the quality of food served. We found it to be a reasonable price point. The food was impeccably prepared. We enjoyed the fish and chips, the salmon pasta special, The chicken curry, and the chicken goujons, all very yummy, swear the desserts. We would definitely stay her... Read more

We spent 4 nights in this hotel. The room was quiet, clean and spacious. The bed was really comfortable and you will find in your room all the services you're expecting from a fancy hotel. The only thing a bit disappointing is the location, not really convenient if you don't have a car.

For a 3 night stay the Hotel itself was comfortable and well appointed. However we found the location a little far from the main city centre. It requires a cab ride and there isn't a great deal to explore on foot around the hotel. Our biggest gripe was the non stop noise along corridors on a Friday night. The noisy, door slamming and shouting went on all night. We assumed this was revellers returning from a good time in the city centre. But when we mentioned it on check out we were informed the... Lovely hotel, a little bit of construction happening but nothing to fuss about. Room was large (classic king) and bathroom was also large. All nicely decorated, very comfortable bed and good ventilation system. Adjoining door to next room slightly daunting at first as I never had one before but it was no issue. Breakfast was a plethera of delights, selection couldn't be beaten even by 5 star standards, who has a pancake maker?? come on!!!!! :) Will be back again!

I would like to start this review by saying that I regularly visit The Kingsley's sister hotel- Fota Island Resort which is always impeccable, however the same standard is not evident at the Kingsley. I have visited the Kingsley about a dozen times in the last year & I'm starting to question why I return. Ate in the K Lounge today as the Springboard was closed. I ordered the roast chicken ciabatta sandwich. I ordered it without the red onion marmalade. The sandwich arrived. There were no onions ... Read more

We stayed here after driving from Dublin to Waterford, then onto Cork. The hotel is very nice and has a large parking lot for guests. The rooms were very nice and beds very comfortable. Very large bathrooms and clean room in general. Staff was very friendly and the pub was nice to visit that evening after a long day of traveling. We didn't go into the city, we were able to eat and have a few drinks without leaving the hotel. Would stay here any time we were in the area- great hotel.

Stayed on a Monday night whilst overnight in Cork on business. Everything about this hotel is top class from the greeting when checking in, the room was spotless, the sheets clean & soft. The bathroom has one of the best walk in showers I've seen in a long time. The breakfast was excellent. The best thing has to be the outdoor hot tub which looks out onto the river - top class.

Had a far better room last year. This time beds were hard even though there was a very thin quilted topper on top of the mattress. Pillows also hard. That said, it is a lovely place to stay. The staff are faultless, so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Wonderful spa too. The city is a good hour's walk, it's nearly two miles but you can walk alongside the river and through Fitzgeralds Park, very pretty. Love Cork and its people
