The presentation of this hotel on line is not like the reality. perhaps had our expectations been less our experience would have been better. but in a country so clean, the standards here need an upgrade. there was body hair on our bathroom floor that greeted us upon arrival and remained as we left (hint: clean behind the bathroom door). it was hard to find a clean plate at the breakfast buffet. the banquette seating seemed more a repository for crumbs and other residual stains than a place... We stayed at the Imperial for 4 nights whilst visiting Cork and I have to say the location could not be better for the city! Everything is on your doorstep. The parking is a bit of a nuisance and costs 9 euro a night. We arrived in our car and I had to go to reception, in order to get the parking card so we could get into the carpark, along with a map and verbal instructions of where to find it! But I also appreciate it is a city hotel so parking isn't always easy when you have such a central lo... Read more

I stayed at the Imperial Hotel for one night on Sunday evening with a friend of mine when we were traveling in Ireland for the weekend. My first impressions of the hotel are wow this is a really nice hotel, a lovely entrance which is up there with the big name hotels. A big thank you to Scott on the reception desk as he was so helpful in recommending places to eat and things to go and see. He was very knowledgable of the area and so friendly. The room was clean and tidy and had good wifi rec... Read more

When we returned although the reception area was busy the staff were really pleasant and efficient. I had spoken to one of the Ladies and when we came back in she spoke to us. I like that although they were busy they still took the time to communicate with people. We went to our room and although there was a slight hiccup we were moved to a different room rea... Read more
