What a fantastic hotel... with truly amasing staff... right in thr heart of Cork city. Walking distance to shops and English market. Arrived last Sunday on thr train for an overnight with 2 pals. The staff could not have done more for us. After an initial issue with the room, which was resolved swiftly, we settled in for a delicious dinner. Lovely bar, which seemed to be a local favourite... always busy with a lovely atmosphere. Afternoon tea on Monday, reserved for us in thr bar, went down a t... Read more

We had an anniversary short stay in this hotel and were bowled over by all the warm, courteous and professional staff we encountered. From our initial welcome at reception through to restaurant staff together with a warm anniversary card and personal greeting from the manager along with some surprise treats in our room, it couldn't have been more welcoming. Dinner menu is excellent and breakfast equally so. This is a special hotel with exceptional people who love what they do. Thank you all so m... Read more

Stayed last weekend with 2 friends - we will be back! The staff were so helpful and handled our dissapointment over the room for 3 very professionally- it is obvious that the staff are well trained and are looked after well as they have a genuine interest in the customer as they appear to love their jobs and their hotel. Food was beautiful and the newly refurbished rooms are very classy. Well done to all the staff on making our stay so enjoyable. Definitely recommend this hotel!

The hotel is in good location and very close to the hustle and bustle of the City. The staff were courteous and professional and the room very comfortable. The bar unfortunately is still under the oppressive thumb of Diageo and their bland array of tasteless products, which is such a shame considering Cork has a proud tradition of fine local brews. Luckily there's an array of bars in the area to choose from. Breakfast the next morning, while tasty, was a bit cold. Perhaps it was just bad timing... Read more

We had a party for my son's 18th birthday on Friday, 27th Jan in the Penthouse Suite at the Imperial Hotel. The room was fabulous with great views across the city and the two bedrooms were lovely. The main function room was beautifully set up, they even laid out a red carpet for us!! We had 27 people there and everyone was so impressed!! The staff from my initial contact with the events team, Louise and Meg to James, Matthew and all who were looking after us on the night were so professional, fr... Read more

I stayed here with my husband for one night.on arrival we parked the car outside the hotel and we're subsequently told we'd have to take it to a multi storey car park '3mins away'.It is I must say way further than 3 minutes. The front of house staff were friendly and informative and the lobby and restaurants in the hotel look great. We were told that we were due to have a small room but this had been upgraded to an 'amazing room'.We were located on the first floor. The room was quite small (I c... Read more

Lovely welcome. Room compact but luxurious furnishings. Staff exceptionally friendly and the central location makes the Imperial a wonderful option. Bed extremely comfortable. The Orla Kiely bath soaps and morning newspaper delivered were that touch of class that made the stay extra luxurious.

Having stayed here before and loving it i didn't want to post a negative review but my recent stay was awful. This hotel has a great location but is not cheap so i expected a lot more from it. The plumbing in my room was awful luke warm and low pressure. i asked for it to be repaired but was told it was not possible as it was a friday. the heating didn't work but they managed to fix that. the coffee machine had to be replaced as that didn't work either. If this wasn't bad enough the bar was unc... Read more

My fiancé and I recently stayed as part of a spa, tapa's, B&B package and found the whole experience so relaxing and enjoyable. Our room was warm and inviting, the shower was lovely and strong and the bed was one of the most comfortable I've slept in. The tapa's were wonderful, especially the bacon and cabbage croquettes! Every single member of staff that we met was remarkably helpful, polite and welcoming. The table next to us at breakfast had 2 small children and the manager dropped down a co... Read more
