I could have sat here writing a bad review of this hotel but we decided to give the staff here a chance to rectify our situation and boy they did not disappoint. I stayed here with my wife last night (19/01/2017). After a very long day at CUMH,we were so tired all we wanted was to relax and put our feet up and we were only delighted to finally check-in to the Imperial Hotel to unwind. Shortly after check in, we had to unfortunately contact reception regarding a minor issue with our room. After ... Read more

Very nice hotel. The staff was personable and very helpful. It's got a great central location in town. The prices were very reasonable and everything in the building was classy and clean. I'd definitely recommend it to someone traveling through

Stayed here for New Years Eve. Lovely room to the side of the hotel (218 if memory serves me). Don't expect everything to be shiny and new; this is an old hotel with charm and character i.e. the sloping hallway outside the elevator area. However it has lovely spacious rooms, good customer service, relaxing bar and separate cafe and the dining room is run very well. I must mention our waiter - Mithv or Mitliv (apologies I wrote down name but can't read my own writing); what a lovely gent, if al... Read more

I booked a double room on Booking.com the day before. We arrived around 2.30 pm and were informed our room was not ready but we could park our car in a dirty run down car park 7mins away from the hotel and then come back to reception to see if a room had become available. We parked the car which I felt despite the short walk was a big let down for this hotel. It was filthy. When we got back to the hotel to save their embarrassment they said they had a twin room ready and that housekeeping would ... Read more

A very good place to organize conference and have a rest in the city. Spacious conference rooms but roller blinds might have been better. A very good location, nice and clean triple room and tasty breakfast! I very recommend this place.

I stay here every time I am in Cork. It's a comfortable hotel with friendly staff, and has a great buffet breakfast available in the restaurant to start off my days in town. Centrally located to shopping, pubs, restaurants, it also has a good bar right in the hotel.

Stayed for 2 nights with my husband to celebrate his 40th birthday. They were so friendly and helpful. Rooms were spotless. Lovely atmosphere in the bar. On the first night we ate in their restaurant and it was excellent. Location couldn't be more central. Highly recommend. Will definitely return soon

The Imperial Hotel provided a warm Irish welcome to me and the students I travel with. Our rooms were well-appointed, warm, and cozy. My students all raved about the breakfast, both the service and the food. The attention to history--expressed through pictures and documents posted on the walls--is a plus. Centrally located, perfect for walking.

The Imperial Hotel is conveniently located in the best part of Cork for dining , shopping and bar hopping & that is about the best thing I can say about the place. The service was indifferent, not rude but barely friendly. When we 1st checked in the heat wasn't working, nor was the coffee machine. The television was hard to watch, lot of flickering and just a few channels. CNN was hard to watch as it kept popping in and out. The shower had no water pressure and would hardly get hot. It did have ... Read more

came to spend some time with my Cork friends over Christmas. Excellent location, bar and restaurant recently made over and both are very open and welcoming, Dealt with Sinead at reception, couldn't have been friendlier or nicer, just like all the staff we encountered. Stayed in a Classic Double great nights sleep and finally, the decorations were fantastic, loved the drummer boy sentries at the door. All in all was a great stay and would definitely recommend can't think of a bad thing to say
