Great value for money. While not brand new, it's well maintained, with good facilities, situated in a good location near shops, convenience stores, cafes and restaurants, and most importantly, excellent service. Food (breakfast, room service) is not bad but wouldn't say it's as excellent as its service

This hotel Is next to Sanata Dharma University. It looks old but surprisingly the interior and the furniture are quite tasteful and cozy. For foreigners, the place is quite attractive. The pool looks nice. The breakfast is fine, you can try herbal drink or jamu. The staffs are so friendly and helpful. Behind the hotel you can find many food stalls there because it's near to a campus so it's easily to find from nice restaurant to hawker food there. Love to stay there.

This was my second stay at this hotel. We spent a week there in late April. In addition, I had stayed here for a month in 2014. Back then it was reasonable value for money. It is a four star hotel. My wife and I were members of the gym last year. So we know this hotel very well. In my opinion it is now way overpriced for what you get. It simply does not represent value for money. We did not get the room this time we had booked through a booking site. That was disappointing. We were offered a smo... Read more

With a good location, nice place for eat, shopping surrounding. Could feel Javanese tradition and interior. Room is large and efficient. Very clean room.A little improvement at front office need it, to make more good & fast service. Could be do better at Spa. If we could dial 7 ( as mentioning on phone) and go through directly to Spa. In fact, call received by Front Office, then transfer to Spa. Received by someone but she asked to wait for spa person. A little bit struggle to make a treatment b... Read more

After entering lobby for the first time I was very impressed by great traditional javanese Lobby. I was welcomed by very obliging staff at the reception and later this day with refreshing drink.Hotel is built in resort style and offers a lot of facilities for a relaxed stay, for instance pool, fitness center, fitness classes and sauna. Rooms are very clean with homestyle furniture.

We travelled as family in June 2016. It was really fun to stay here. The hotel provided us compliment airport pick-up. When we arrived at the hotel lobby, we sensed this hotel was very Javanese. The architecture, the furniture and their little ornaments is so ethnic. I guessed the hotel preserved their building pretty well. Hospitality is their best services. They always smile and greet their guests politely. Almost all the staff did that and I couldn't find their minors. You shouldn't hesitate ... Read more

We travel to Yogya frequently and always stay here when we can. It's outside the tourist zones, but convenient to many parts of the city and to many amenities. Rooms are clean, the lobby often has live music and the pool is very nice. Staff are accommodating and helpful. The kids' room is a bit small and out of the way. It's more geared towards business travelers, but for those who want to avoid the chaos of the two main tourist drags, it is a very nice alternative.

Enjoyed our stay. Staff were friendly and courteous. Rooms were good. Gym was terrific as was the near deserted pool. Nice restaurants just outside hotel. Maybe the only negative was the distance from major tourist spots such as Marliaboro

I stayed in Jogja Plaza Hotel (JPH) from February 21 - March 4. There was a national level training for people with disabilities, government, and other related stakeholders. We do love JPH services. The staff were all really helpful, friendly and nice, and most importantly highly responsive. If you have problems during your stay and you ask staff, they will quickly try to find solutions (at least that's what I experienced during my stay). The location is very strategic : nearby two campuses an... Read more

Last month, I stayed here for one short night. This is not a new hotel yet they are able to keep up with the latest situation, fresh design (particularly in the rooms and Coffee Shop) yet keep the traditional feeling (the Joglo). The staffs are really helpful. The buffet breakfast is great, options of all local, Asian and international are available. A nice one short stay!

This is my 2nd time staying at the hotel. The hotel is very clean and all the staffs are very nice. Though it is quiet far from the city centre, but i think it still fine. The hotel is located in Jalan Affandi which is near to the Affandi museum (art museum) and Gajah Wong, an authentic restaurant. The price of the hotel is relatively cheap so it is suitable for a young traveller like me to stay there. For an input to the hotel, despite all the outstanding service that they get, however the way ... Read more

Nice classic style hotel. Comfortable rooms with all necessities. Great outdoor, courtyard pool suitable for a decent swim. Unfortunately smoking is allowed on pool deck. Good choice at breakfast buffet. Close to various retail and food outlets and centrally located in the Sleman university district

Comfortable rooms, clean and quite well furnished. Excellent breakfast with a wide range of European and Asian food and, of course, outstanding coffee. Well situated for tourist attractions - very polite, friendly and helpful staff.

I visited for a night with family. Booked 2 rooms ( triple and twin deluxe ) through Traveloka. The building is quite old but still well maintenance. The Staffs hotel are friendly and bit helpful. The Check In process was fast and the receptionist was very friendly but very clear gave the information. The rooms is large can accommodate 1 king bed and 1 extra bed. Nice ambience. The amenities such as coffee tea maker, minibar ( not many things I side the fridge ) and bathroom amenities is complet... Read more

There was a java keroncong band playing when we arrive. Would love to stay at the lobby to watch and listen but was very tired at the time. This is a good hotel with great service. Old with a touch of modern facilities. All staff were friendly and smile all the time. The food was great as well with addition of traditional cuisines. Will come back if on business trip with foreigner cause foreigner seems to like this old majestic building.

I have stayed 4 nights at Plaza hotel. This Javanese-styled hotel is mid-priced and well-decorated. And this hotel has many kind staffs and good foods. I like this hotel, so if I come again in Jogyakarta, I want to stay in this hotel. And around this hotel you could find some good places, "Gedjah Wong"(a very good restaurant) and "Am Plaza."

Huge international hotel, quite anonymous but with all that you can fancy: beautiful swimming pool, spa, fitness room, tennis court, kids area, big and comfortable room with free water, minibar, safe, tv with programs in many languages, large bathroom with toiletries and hair dryer. Certainly if you want to feel the Indonesian flavour that's not the place. The location is not optimal, very far from the center, but there are some small restaurants in the area, much cheaper than the overpriced hot... Read more

The Jogjakarta Plaza Hotel (JPH) has been a Home-base for Cultural Adventure. For the past five years I‚??ve been working on a Ph.D. in inter-cultural dialogue. The program is housed in Gadja Mada University in Jogjakarta. I‚??m currently finalizing my dissertation. Trip Advisor seemed an appropriate way to thank GM Wibowo and his fine JPH team; as well as let YOU know (the person reading this post) that the Jogjakarta Plaza Hotel is simply THE BEST. Each day I would have a western style ... Read more
