The grounds are beautiful and the museum very interesting. The individual villas are wonderfully created each with its own lagoon and fountain. It feels like ones own compound with gate and lush vegetation. The villas are air conditioned in the bedroom and changing areas. The shower, tub and toilet are partially out of doors so no air. There were bugs and dropping around the toilet. My friends villa was so moldy I could not walk into her villa without gagging. It was serious mold. When we checke... Read more

I just stayed 3 nights at the resort in one of their villas. The check in was spotty since the receptionist was a trainee. The walkway to the villa was filled with construction materials, thus did not create a good first impression. The grounds are beautifully landscaped but on the border line of needing stone and cement cleanup. Lots of moss growing on surfaces. The villas were clean however, there is an insect problem that needs addressing. The outside bathroom creates lots of insects. ... Read more

From the moment you walk through the towering mossy gates, you know ARMA is going to be exactly what you needed. As you make your way through the beautifully manicured gardens, complete with info tags on trees, you'll begin to reconnect with ancient mother nature and relax. The next thing that will strike you is the beautiful artwork that is all over the grounds. Cheerful sculptures of animals form honour guards along the paths, with staff placing fresh flowers behind their ears every morning. ... Read more

... Recommended highly as a true authentic and unique Balinese experience...Even been reviewed in top magazines...They collected 100% of the money for best villa...Instead provided sub standard rooms.. Restraunt is on side of highway...Nothing peaceful..wake up to sounds of mopeds scooters and trucks ?.Garbage floating in the streams..Pools of standing water..Middle of unpleasant and unsightly construction project...Horrific service and and hospitality...Menacing staff when you mention anythin... Arma Resort is a beautiful , peaceful haven in Ubud. The greenery, the beautiful sculptures , the prayer offerings and the soothing sound of running water is amazing. The best is if you are interested in art ,step into the ARMA museum anytime(its free for residents) and take your time admiring the artworks. Once you are there you realize how much love and passion has gone into creating this project . The founder Mr. Agung Rai is such a knowledgable man. He is quite hands on and we met him every... ARMA Museum and Resort has very beautiful large grounds with fantastic stone carvings and a good swimming pool. It also has very kind housekeeping and shuttle bus staff and a lovely comfortable bed. I requested and was given a river view from the Deluxe room and it was very relaxing. I liked being able to spend time in the museum. It was great to see kids practising gamelan and people painting in the afternoons. I booked to stay at ARMA because on previous visits to Ubud I had been to wonderfu... Read more

Love the Bali style of art. Lot of nice works. Beautiful grounds. Little expensive for Bali at 80k rupiah. Includes tea or coffee at cafe. Don't go looking for place to beat the heat because they have no a/c.

A wonderful retreat spread over 7 hectares. Feel the real traditional Bali in the centre of Ubud. The museum is a journey through the art history of Bali & Ubud with some astounding works. Enjoy your breakfast overlooking carefully tended rice terraces. Highly recommended. Make sure to join the golden hour tour - it's worth getting up for a 6am start to sites that will startle you.

This is a large, well-landscaped property with beautiful, traditional architecture, sculptures, a pool, a pond, and rice fields. It was a pleasure to walk around, and so peacefully quiet. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We rarely saw guests outside of breakfast, which was a la carte, but as unlimited as a buffet. It was extremely convenient to have complimentary admission to the museum, which we saw gradually over a few days. The restaurants on the property were good, and it is w... Read more

We have stayed last year in this resort, located among lush Balinese gardens and rice paddies stretching over several ha. We had the Classic Balinese Villa, which was amazing, for those who like classic Balinese style. Beds were however a bit too hard for our taste (not uncommon on Bali). Guests have free access to the ARMA museum. Balinese Dance Shows are also organized almost nightly on site and there is also an excellent (modern) Thai Restaurant. This time we only wandered around the gardens ... Read more
