Came back to Bali again? Third time, second time to Arma. The only place I'll stay in Ubud, the Arma resort is a gem. It is community central with an ethos of education in the traditional cultural arts while giving extremely good service and ammenities. The staff are genuinely helpful and interested ( and interesting ). We arrived by Armas own taxi service and were greeted warmly. The room was excellent but the bed was too hard. They changed our room immediately (the bed was brand new but especi... Read more

We love this place! It's not 5* but that's part of the charm (bathrooms are a little run down and the towels provided are definitely grey not white!). Set amongst the museum it's very peaceful here and free wifi around the pool. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Def will come back

I came for a music event in an awesome, ornate venue, and I ended up staying 3 days. Bali is like that. This is one of the places where the Spirit grabs you. It is a true sanctuary full of art, flowers, smiles and love. I could stay forever.

I've been in ARMA RESORT in April 2016. The hotel is very big but fabulous. The staff at the reception is always welcoming and very helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. The pool area is absolutely lovely. The thai restaurant is also very good. I highly recommend this hotel!

I would have stayed here the entire holiday If I could've done it. This place has the wow factor. beautiful villas in a landscape surrounded by valleys, river, rice fields, orchids growing in trees, art sculptures, etc. I definitely recommend the villas with the pools, the difference in price drives a difference in value that is unbelievable!

A Google search for painting workshops led us to discover this amazing gem of a resort! Located in close proximity to Jl.Hanoman and Ubud centre you have access to all the attractions that Ubud has to offer and then some. Set in a lush verdant green atmosphere bordered by rice fields and teeming with orchids in their Balinese gardens, it is the ideal Balinese experience! The meditative sounds of the gurgling stream is constant and immediately calming. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Be a... Read more

Calling Arma Resort a paradise is an understatement. We were WOWed from the start. We stayed in mid July 2016. If you are you are looking for a tranquil, private, and zen paradise for your next holiday destination, I would very highly recommend Arma! The Villa we stayed iin was just gorgeous, we felt as if we were living in a palace fit for royalty!. It has a private pool, a private gazebo, the room is spacious, exotic and very clean. The villa has a gorgeous semi-open-air-bathroom with two sho... Read more

Beautiful resort...we actually went here for a pre-arranged private gamelan lesson for our family of musicians. They lost our booking (which had been booked about 10 months in advance and then I got a bit of the run-around (that's putting it nicely)...but it was re-arranged...and all went very well. 5-star for the lesson...2 star for the service before-hand...equals 4ish stars.

It's a beautifull and quite place with special artworks, traditional as well as modern art, spread over a few buildings. The small book you get at the entrance explains the historie and is a nice extra. You can stroll around through the very nice gardens, take a look at the expensive bungalows (it's also a resort) and have a free coffee or tea while overlooking the ricepaddy's. Only annoying thing was that right in the beginning one of the museumemployees won't leave you alone and tries to sell ... Read more

We spent several hours here including a delicious Thai lunch. We loved the tranquil gardens and water features and viewing the two art sections. Really worth a visit. Ubud is so busy but once inside this peaceful spot it is hard to believe you are moments away from the bustling streets.

We took a long weekend in Ubud and stayed at the Arma museum and resort. This is a very reasonably priced fantastic hotel in Ubud with the ability to walk to the town's main streets and of course the Monkey forest. We loved it. The staff are all charming. Nothing too much trouble. The Thai restaurant was fantastic sitting up on a Bali table we felt like royalty. The gardens are amazing. Just the best. Two galleries of pictures are interesting and take an hour or so. There were regular B... Read more

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. My wife and I went on our honeymoon and booked in for one night, stayed for a week. The rooms are splendid spacious and decorated beautifully. It feels more like a temple than a hotel and the staff are most helpful, have a wonderful attitude and the atmosphere there is uplifting. It is worth taking some time to explore the grounds, museum and the Thai restaurant serves high quality meals at very reasonable prices. Swimming pool is lovely and with so ... Read more

Interesting collection. There is a mixture of old and new works, but no earlier than a century or two ago. You may see local artists creating artwork in the open courtyard. The buildings' exteriors are impressive. You get complimentary coffee or tea at ARMA Cafe with your ticket. May be completed in under an hour.

Stayed at one villa for a week and absolutely enjoyed it. Just amazing. The service in the restaurants, the spa and the Tours wth Agung Rai, just incredible. The villa gives you a real personal feeling of the way of living in Bali. The surrounding within this space of Arma is just like a small Bali, with the statues, the river, the museum, the open theatre. Would always come back to Arma.

What a beautiful tranquil place We stayed in a private villa with its own pool. We never had to leave They have no TV which didn't bother us a bit but the double bed is 2 singles joined so forget the spooning!!!- not so comfortable on your wedding anniversary That's the only reason for the 4 stars. Otherwise I would stay here again in a heart beat PS the out door shower is bloody brilliant

We have just spent 3 days in a suite villa. It was nice, but for only 2 people this villa is too big.Easily 5 people could sleep there! Breakfast is very good, staff is friendly and helpful. There is no TV!The Thai restaurant was not so good, but on the other side of the street is a fantastic restaurant:Urbana. You will love it!

This was one of my favorite visits in Ubud. The museum grounds are large and peaceful, and not only is the artwork in the actual indoor museums really nice, the statues, the remnants of buildings, and the guest quarters are beautiful as well. Very much worth a couple hours' visit, and if you have the bucks, looks like a lovely place to stay. I did eat at the restaurant outside the entrance, and the food was tasty.

We have stayed last year in this resort, located among lush Balinese gardens and rice paddies stretching over several ha. We had the Classic Balinese Villa, which was amazing, for those who like classic Balinese style. Beds were however a bit too hard for our taste (not uncommon on Bali). Guests have free access to the ARMA museum. Balinese Dance Shows are also organized almost nightly on site and there is also an excellent (modern) Thai Restaurant. This time we only wandered around the gardens ... Read more

This is a large, well-landscaped property with beautiful, traditional architecture, sculptures, a pool, a pond, and rice fields. It was a pleasure to walk around, and so peacefully quiet. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We rarely saw guests outside of breakfast, which was a la carte, but as unlimited as a buffet. It was extremely convenient to have complimentary admission to the museum, which we saw gradually over a few days. The restaurants on the property were good, and it is w... Read more

A wonderful retreat spread over 7 hectares. Feel the real traditional Bali in the centre of Ubud. The museum is a journey through the art history of Bali & Ubud with some astounding works. Enjoy your breakfast overlooking carefully tended rice terraces. Highly recommended. Make sure to join the golden hour tour - it's worth getting up for a 6am start to sites that will startle you.

Love the Bali style of art. Lot of nice works. Beautiful grounds. Little expensive for Bali at 80k rupiah. Includes tea or coffee at cafe. Don't go looking for place to beat the heat because they have no a/c.

ARMA Museum and Resort has very beautiful large grounds with fantastic stone carvings and a good swimming pool. It also has very kind housekeeping and shuttle bus staff and a lovely comfortable bed. I requested and was given a river view from the Deluxe room and it was very relaxing. I liked being able to spend time in the museum. It was great to see kids practising gamelan and people painting in the afternoons. I booked to stay at ARMA because on previous visits to Ubud I had been to wonderfu... Read more
