mansion resort is the most beautiful and unique hotel i've been to. the hotel is beautiful. from the stunning entrance to a palace-like place, to the backyard which is beautiful and magical. walk around esp at dusk and you'll just be amazed. our grand deluxe room was beautifully decorated, soft with curtains and soft colors. staff are equally beautiful, dressed in colorful traditional balinese dress. they are beautiful inside out, nothing was too much trouble. food was good, and a good choice fo... The breakfast was great, the pools were beautiful the landscape was breathtaking. I definitely recommend getting out and enjoying the scenery. Anything u need or want to explore the concierge will help u with . We will definitely be back

I cannot say enough great things about this hotel. From the second my husband and i arrived we felt like royalty. The mansion is absolutley gorgeous, from the drapes to the outside lounge area and pools....everything is exquisite! But what really made this place remarkable is the staff! They were always smiling, willing to help, and answer any and all questions you might have. Driving up into the grounds of The Mansion Baliwood is a sight to behold... From the guards at the gate to the grounds men, you are greeted warmly and sincerely with a welcoming smile. Firstly I should add, the airport greeting was great - no waiting around, your driver is waiting with a card in the air (your name in bold lettering) so there is no mistaking he is at your service! Originally this stay was for myself and my fianc├ę but he was unable to make it due to work commitments, so I asked... Read more

Once the home of a rich Chinese from Jakarta, this magnificent hotel has the most beautiful grounds with 4 pools scattered around as are the rooms and suites. The rooms are furnished in the traditional Bali manner, dark woods etc and the main mansion is exquisitely furnished no doubt much left by the millionaire who once owned it. The bathrooms are magnificent with huge sunken step in stone baths. Cable TV and WiFi in all rooms, an international restaurant and spa facilities. There are free shut... Read more

My girlfriend and I stayed here on our first trip to Ubud and it certainly fulfilled our expectations. The gardens and scenery are exactly everything that you want from an ubud jungle hotel and the pools are beautiful. This is all complimented by the impossibly friendly staff who are possibly the happiest people I've ever seen. I will say that the rooms could use a bit of an update, or at least ours could... My husband and I were lucky to have experienced The Mansion for our honeymoon. The resort was so amazing that it exceeded my expectations on every level. Located in Ubud, which is usually bustling with tourists, the Mansion itself is situated in a quiet and peaceful area where you are sure to get the relaxation that the natural world has to offer. I spent 5 nights at this hotel with my 2 kids, ages 4 and 6. When we arrived late at night, our room had a dank mildew smell so we changed rooms the next day. The next morning, we woke to droppings on the beds and floor! I freaked out, thinking it was a mouse or rat, but the staff told me that it was a lizard (very large lizard!). We moved rooms again. This hotel is a dream, and easily one of the best ive ever stayed in. The hotel is like a village. Most rooms are located in buildings with two floors (one room upstairs and one downstairs). There are also various suites in separate buildings. 4 pools, many places to order food and drinks and daybeds/sunbeds for everyone. The perfect hotel for a couple looking for a place to relax. Spent three nights at the mansion and it is amazing. We had a bungalow room which is great with an outdoor bathroom but very spacious. It's like this place would have been amazing 20 years ago. It's nice enough now and the staff are clearly doing an incredible job at maintaining such an old property but I think it will need a really good face lift if it's going to see in many more years ahead. There are lots of pools to choose from but two that were definitely not up for swimming in - all murky and full of leaves, while the other two that I swam in were lovely and clean. Friendly staff and drivers. Good prompt service for room service. The free shuttle service to Ubud is very useful and on time. The swimming pools are kept clean. Things that could improve is breakfast specially cooking fresh eggs. Asked for sunny side and gave me over easy :D It's not a massive issue but would have been nice. Gym has good basic equipment for a good quick workout. Overall clean friendly place with staff giving 100% service

Stayed in a standard double room.. room was clean and basic what we needed. Very nice poits or the 'good' are: The various pools look nice are well located ond clean The entrance hall and most of the buildings = not all but these are hidden behind plants) The landscape is nice and all the water falls (which do work) and palms and trees The very friendly staff = like all the country and ... The grounds of this hotel are beautiful, a lovely place to relax, however the rooms leave much to be desired, they are poorly designed with no draw space only an open rack for hanging clothes with only 3 hangers provided. Decided it was easier to live out of our cases, the walls were paper thin and believe me left nothing to the imagination, The lighting was very dim in the room and we had difficulty reading etc. I would not return to The Mansion as even though you do not spend a lot of time in ... The staff of the hotel are very friendly. On the first night we arrived, they gave us a room with the toilet full of ants, the bed sheet with blood stains and the safe broken. I called concerning the safe box and after 2 hours they didn't come to fix it. The walls were so thin that we could hear the neighbours talking or their music. They upgraded us to a "better" room after complaining at the reception. The new room had no internet connection and it was much smaller than the previous room. ... Read more

I have not stayed at The Mansion myself but have visited their various properties on several occasions for business purposes: The Mansion and Palm Villas. I had the pleasure to work with their manager Rodrigo who's ultimate goal is always customer satisfaction. It is always a pleasure working with him. I now book my groups with them and the feedback has always been super positive. I can only recommend both properties to anyone who wants something different from the classic properties in the are... Ubud is by far the best place to go in Bali, and Baliwood Resort is the perfect place to stay! We heard about it from our family and friends who stayed here and loved it, so we booked it too! The resort is very impressive - the views are so beautiful and typically Balinese! We spent a lot of time in the many different pools and really loved the Balinese statues, sculptures, paintings and galleries scattered around the resort. We especially enjoyed their exhibition of old photos from 1930 where... Read more

Mansion Resort and Spa -VERY Bad breackfirst and VERY bad location.I have 35 years old and 2 days ago we just come back from Ubud, bali (me and my girlfriend) Ubud is very ugly to see, apart from the rice terrace at tagalalang (it is very nice) you will see only resturants without nice view, I recomand not to sleep there, you will spend your money for nothing, It is only for very old couples. ???????????????????????? Doesn't look like a 5* resort . Disappointed by the room, the bed, the hygiene in the bathroom . All the decoration seems cluttered . Could be cleaner . Breakfast is not good. We had dinner a la carte, it was good . All in all, I would not recommend this hotel .

I really enjoyed our 3 nights here at the Mansion. It really is beautiful so lush and cool things to be seen everywhere you look. The hotel and grounds are kept clean and everyone is nice and friendly. It didn't seem busy while we were here and the section we were in - jungle wood room seemed quiet and like we were the only ones there which is nice - no extra noises. Our room was a large bungalow... First impressions - I was amazed! It's big and exactly what I was looking for. The bed and pillow... Read more

Stunning resort but expect it to be more rustic than the super shiny resorts of Seminyak. We both loved staying here. Room was great with a massive bath and nice porch area outside. Great access to all of the pools and a really serene place to stay all-in-all. Outside of Ubud but there are fairly regular shuttle buses to and from Ubud and the hotel. The breakfast could do with a bit of an improvement (although the other half seemed pretty happy) and it took a little bit of work to arrange our co... Read more

We were told about Mansion Baliwood from numerous friends who have stayed and left their hearts there... :-) as we sure left a piece of of ourselves too. staff was efficient and friendly and couldn't do enough for you. we got family residence karna, which has a common living room shared with only one other room (almost our own!) and is poolside. we got to lounge while the kids napped, tired from the kids camp activities. room is comfy and cool, and kids enjoyed all the pools! food is good, and s... Great hotel a short drive from Ubud Town. We had a 5 night stay at The Mansion and some of the important points for us were the staff who were extremely helpful and always greeted you with a smile. The rooms are huge, CLEAN and air conditioned. Unlimited free wifi. Several pools to choose from with plenty of seating and shade. The restaurant and menu cater for a wide range of tastes with plenty of variety from breakfast to dinner. The SPA staff were also excellent, there is even a gym. You are ... Read more

The service was excellent. Very friendly staff always smiling and greeting us warmly. Room was spacious, air conditioned, clean and close to pools, gym, spa. The grounds are exquisite. I felt like I was in a movie set with pathways through exotic flowers, cabanas, water features. Breakfast by the pool was very nice-not sumptuous but with everything I would want-omelettes made to order, yogurt, pastries, fresh fruit, good coffee.and juices. My massage was first rate. Loved staying here. Spotlessly clean throughout. The rooms are all very individual and it doesn't feel all corporate and industrial. The only sound you here is water and nature. Stunning gardens and pools everywhere you turn. Huge amount of sun beds and shade, friendly staff and excellent atmosphere. The buffet style breakfast does the job, mix of traditional and western tastes. It is too far to walk to Ubud town but the hotel runs a free shuttle every hour, and if you miss it a cab will cost a... Read more

We weren't guests and we wanted to enjoy breakfast with friends who were staying in the area. A phone call to secure a table for us I was advised that even though breakfasts are a non booking event a "reservation" was secured. We arrived to find the line to Joseph's ( dining room) 15 deep. We waited and when our turn arrived I advised we had a reservation. I could see that the restaurant was filled to the brim. We booked the Mansion for our wedding hoping but perhaps not expecting for it to be as quite upmarket as some of the other 5 star hotels in the Ubud area due to its very reasonable prices... However it was just fantastic and would compare to most, im sure. Elizabeth the general manager and her staff couldn't have been more attentive and welcoming...they really 'bent over backwards' to make our day special...and that it was. Our room was a private villa with pool...it was beautiful and typically... Read more

If you are expecting a 5 star hotel you will be disappointed. If you are more looking for a 3 star hotel this place will suit you. It is quite tired in some parts but has more pools than any hotel I have seen. The gardens are beautiful and it is very tranquil-but be prepared for a few creepy crawlers in your room. The shuttle bus is a great service. If you are paying for spa treatment the price is at least triple what you pay in Ubud. You can get some hotel packages including spa treatment th... Read more

We were so excited about going back to Ubud as the first time we stayed at The Kayon which was amazing. Unfortunately the Mansion was nothing like it, at breakfast you were always waiting for food to be placed in the trays as they were empty the majority of the time. Then on our second night we took the shuttle to the main town. Upon returning someone with a key had entered the children's room and smoked something that made the room unbearable. The staff bought in a candle to help with the smell... Read more

They offer a free shuttle bus to the centre which runs every 2hrs. Otherwise it's about 80,000 IDR. Staff are very friendly and cheerful, always smiling.
