Stayed in two rooms at Alaya, 2nd was a no charge upgrade as the first was not ideal for me. Both rooms were spotless and spacious, the 2nd had a bathtub that I wanted to take home with me if I could. The large terrace had comfortable chairs and table, a great spot to sit early morning or later in the afternoon once the heat of the day had eased. There's not much I can say other than the the staff were very helpful in every way and most efficiently professional. The entire hotel was peaceful wit... Read more

Centrally located but still quiet and peaceful. I stayed for a week and had a great relaxing time. Nothing was too much trouble and all of the staff was very friendly. 2x daily cleaning, free water, nice spa, beautiful pool and gym. Cons: -Rooms on 1st and 2nd floors smell like mold. Took me 3 times to get a room on the top floor and the smell was gone. -cleaning staff knock on your door at 9 am to clean your room. It's a vacation and I don't believe they should start before 10. -pool towels h... Read more

Hospitality of all the staff was superb. Yummy breakfast at Patani restaurant. We liked the clean rooms and wifi throughout the resort. Staff were also incredibly helpful with our little baby. Overall excellent place to be. Highly recommended.

Situated on a busy road, but very central. Once you step off the footpath it is into an oasis of calm and friendly tranquility. Very quiet and peaceful. The Alaya is a lovely hotel. The rooms are large, tastefully decorated and with a good size terrace. There are two lovely pools, gardens and their own paddy fields. The staff could not be more helpful, and seem to be genuinely proud of their workplace.

Loved our week-long visit here: staff were so obliging, our room was excellent (good showers!), the location was perfect (so easy to pop out for a massage next door, or a meal) and the pools were good. Would most definitely stay here again. Loved being in the centre of town (so many hotels are really far out) too. Breakfasts were good, although not always straightforward to order the Indonesian option; they were also happy to send up coffee to our rooms - at no extra cost.

This place is a lot nicer than most spots in ubud. They go the extra mile on service, the foods realllly good, great coffee. The people working here seem happy. Its very comfortable and clean, beds are great. Try the nasi goreng. We also stayed at the alaya in kuta. The one in ubud seems fancier, and is definitely bigger, but the rooms seem a little smaller, only because our room in kuta was huge though. After cruising around ubud this place always felt great to come home to, and its no c... Read more

We spent three nights at this hotel. The location is fantastic and just off the busy streets. There are not many quality hotels in this location. Whilst you don't get beautiful tree views like other parts of Ubud, the location is very convenient for access to restaurants and shops. The rooms are absolutely beautiful. Lots of space, nicely decorated, and well equipped. Staff are very helpful as you would expect. I would say the common areas (pool, lounge, restaurants) are nice but not quite... Read more

We just finished a week at Alaya Resort and it was absolutely stunning. The staff were so welcoming and the rooms were better than pictured on the internet or TripAdvisor. We thoroughly enjoyed the onsite restaurants and pools. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone attending Ubud.

We have just returned from a our stay at Alaya. I highly recommend this place for families or couples to stay. Our breakfast every morning was amazing. The staff are always making sure you dont need for anything and really look after you. We had an interconnecting family room and these rooms are beautiful. The location was perfect for me as im a yoga teacher i loved that the yoga barn was basically right next door for me to continue my practice while there. I will definetly be back with my... Read more
