I first stayed at Rama Garden in 1984 and thought we would give it another go. On arrival we were given a welcome drink and quickly shown to our room 104 on the ground floor tucked in a corner by the pool. The room was good with a wonderfully comfortable bed but the first night the air conditioner broke down and turned itself off and on all night blowing air but nothing else. They promptly moved us the next day to 107 which was even nicer and newer but within the hour were moved to 114 which aga... Read more

Notify hotel guests in advance when spraying for mozzies, so they can be away. Notice to be displayed near room 115 so you can see it as you enter or leave hotel. Area around pool needs to be redone as wire is exposed and may cause injury. Missing tiles in pool should be repaired immediately. Something to be done so it is easier for people to get in or out of pool

This was our first time in Bali and I would not hesitate to stay there again. They made us feel so welcome, the food was incredible. It is situated right in the middle of everything, so not far to walk for shopping, beach etc.

We have stayed at Rama 5 times now and will always return to this quiet hotel to relax .We have nicked named it the retirement Village(No Kids) and the beds are the best in Bali so comfy. Rooms are large and clean and if you require anything the staff are there to help out quickly and always friendly. The location is central and walking distance to the beach and shops. My wife and I have tried other hotels but end up always returning to this hotel when we travel to Bali. Fantastic.

With only 30 rooms, 15 on ground level and 15 above, all apparently identical, and a central pool, this resort is compact without being confining. The noisy sports bar will attract some guests, but for those not inclined, the noise goes outwards to the street and rooms not affected.

I stayed here twice in April. Once for 5 nights with a friend, and came back a week later for 7 nights on my own. I loved the hotel and it's very friendly staff. The rooms are good sized and the bathrooms are spacious with big double sized showers. I was in the ground floor poolside room the first time and then in the 1st floor room. Both were lovely but I preferred the pool side room. The housekeeping staff are SO friendly. You feel like part of the family. Thank you to both Mades for y... Read more

Have gone past this restaurant so many times during the day and was not attracted to it. Last night whilst scouting around to find a restaurant to suit two distinct preferences in our group: good Indonesian and good Western i had a second look at Rama Garden. We all gave it a thumbs up. The Nasi Uduk was a sight to behold and hit the target. The schnitzel also scored the approval of the non Indonesian crew. Staff were fun and helpful and the restaurant was full. Always a good sign.

The rooms at Rama Garden are clean and nicely presented. Renovated recently. The bed is really comfy and the daily towel art is something to see. The reception staff are always welcoming and always attend to requests promptly. Geoffrey is the man! He will organise transport at the last minute and answer all your questions. A real asset to Rama Gardens. A small hotel with a great pool and lovely relaxed feel. We will be back!

If you're anything like me you're looking at the photos wondering whether it's actually as lovely as it looks - and I can say that it is. Rooms are large, bathrooms are fantastic (open and spacious), and the beds are comfortable (including the extra fold out, which I slept on). There's a sense of privacy as well (the rooms each have their own small outdoor area), and the garden is a paradise! The location is quiet but central, and feels like a little haven tucked away. We love the staff we love the rooms We love the location .Being of the older generation and not able to get around so easy this Hotel suited us .Every thing about Rama is right for us. However the Hotel should stop allowing beer bottles to be taken into the pool this practice is very dangerous and the rule enforced. Located in a good street and close to the beach, bars, shops etc but not impressed with the food or the bar. The breakfast was the same thing every day-not a great choice and no decent tea or coffee so would opt out and eat elsewhere. Otherwise all the staff were great & nothing too much trouble.
