This is an old hotel and while the staff are lovely, there are much better options for the same price in the area. Air conditioning sounds like running water and walls are very thin. I ate in the restaurant and it was okay but had breakfast in the illy cafe with coffee and pastry - that was a nice way to start my day

The good: service levels, central location, price (for location), breakfast, very well-equipped gym. The bad: rooms and common areas (hallways, lobby, restaurant) in need of refurbishment. Stayed here as a solo traveller for 1 night on a business trip. The staff are wonderfully attentive and I was surprised at how well equipped the gym was i.e. half-dozen treadmills, free-weights, a smith machine and more. Unfortunately, this is an old hotel and, while not unpleasant, the rooms, lobby and hall... Read more

We had a number of business meetings in the area so decided on le meridian due to its location. We booked 2 club rooms, we were allowed to check in early which was nice...check in was very quick. The rooms are big, clean and modern, the bathroom is really good. We had the club package so utilized the free drinks in the evening with snacks, it was great. We had a couple of business meetings in the club area and no problem to have 1 guest each. I used the gym each morning which is really big with ... Read more

Been staying here for last 10 years on a regular basis. Always well taken care of by the staff at the reception, bell, restaurants and laundry. Talking about laundry, these are great honest people; I have on several occasions absent-mindedly left some money in the pockets and these always come back "taped" on the invoice. The 20th floor lounge is a good place to do your meetings or work over a glass of wine and staff are always there to attend to your needs. Hotel looks a little tired but ot... Read more

So I had a chance to stay at this hotel, since I know it is designed for a business hotel, I'm pretty amazed that this hotel fits really well to the family. Location wise, it's located amidst the Jakarta's business golden triangle and the hotel is near to any big shopping malls in Jakarta like in Thamrin, Sudirman, and Karet Kuningan. The staff were very nice, quick, n helpful... They're always smiling and attentive to every detail we need. I stayed in their newly renovated room, Premier Room... Read more

I returned to this property after a few months and was greatly satisfied with my short business stay. The check in and check out services were very fast. One of the attraction for me has been Al-Naufura restaurant, which is a great Mediterranean dining place in town. The room was great, clean with very comfortable bed and shower. Look for the spa if you are jet legged and tired and need to recover. I would like to return to this property during my future visits.

Le Meridien is not the newest or most chic hotel in Jakarta but it is still one of the nicest, and certainly my favourite. The warmth and friendliness of the staff coupled with excellent service and location for a reasonable price cannot be beat. The food is consistently very good and comfort and upkeep of the rooms, even the most basic, are also very good. I will always make Le Meridien my first choice in Jakarta.

The hotel was the best part of my stay in Jakarta as I felt safe, had multiple dining options and friendly staff for assistance. However for the price you pay, it's not what you'd receive in other countries. I stayed in a nice room for business (with 1 family member) and found the room to be dated, small and awkwardly laid out. Le Meridien is well located and comes with all of the usual 4* hotel facilities. It seems a little tired and needs a refresh but nothing in particular worth mentioning. The staff are friendly and the rooms are well equipped but lack inspiration or the touch of a modern hotel. If you are staying here make sure you visit Gia Restaurant which is a short walk away, it truly is incredible.

Before this July trip, the last time I was here was back in January 2013 and the front desk staff said so and welcomed with me with a big smile. I have stayed at this hotel 3-4 times this year. I have been very pleased with the staff and the property. I like the gym, the spa, and the wonderful dining options. Right after they come and clean rooms my bathrooms smell normal but later in the day it smells really bad. This has been the case in every room I have stayed in here. It must be a sewage issue. Otherwise no complaints. For the price it is a great hotel. Special thanks to Samuel and so many others who have been kind and made my st... Read more

The Meridien is well located and has excellent staff and service. Housekeeping never interrupted my schedule and yet manged to keep everything in order. The breakfast buffet has good Western and Asian options. The gym is well equipped. Wifi works well in the rooms. Jakarta for some reason is a bit pricey, so the value for money is slightly lacking -- there are nicer Meridien properties in Asia, and the rooms here feel a bit dated and more cramped than elsewhere, at a higher price. But that is su... Read more

The view is great at this hotel but general cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired we were in one of the premium rooms and it was nice but not great. It is nice,as in nothing over the top but are the sheets clean yes is the food good yes but don't order the Tuna steak that is a disaster dish. Breakfast is nice and the bakery has amazing pastries.

The hotel itself and the athmosphere is graet, but some rooms need to be renewed. The staff is very friendly and is helping you where ever they can. The bar in the lobby is very nice and in the evening some life music will be played ( sometimes a bit too loud ).

Hotel is conveniently located near to a lot of great malls but traffic is heavy. Breakfast buffet is great with good western and Asian options. Spa is nice and relaxing. The room was good but not over the top for this pricey hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful and overall service is good. There are a lot of good aspects to this hotel but some things need improvement. Good security checks and practices noted here which is comforting. Overall the experience was good on my very short stay.

For someone who lives in Jakarta, and trying to spend his weekend gateaway in the city, then the gateaway location must be one of the best right? For me and my family that One of The Best is Hotel Le Meridien Jakarta. Location wise, its in the best location in JAKARTA smack in the city's golden triangle. Best starting point for the weekly car free day jog. But the best part of the hotel lies in it's nuance....best blend of European and ethnic Javanese style. The architecture and interior are awe... Checked in with my wife, very nice reception staff, everyone was making us welcome. Lobby has nothing special but you can see quickly location of breakfast restaurant and Bar. Lifts are a little away of the lobby next to a club and their lebanese restaurant. Room booked was Deluxe, and size was fine, It was also clean. But rooms and to a lesser extend Public areas could do with renovations. We had a good stay but i was expecting a more modern hotel. Location is also good, you can get anywhe... Read more

Excellent, friendly service from all the staff. Nice choice of food at breakfast and a good selection of Asian dishes available from room service. Liked the décor and roominess of the bedroom. Very comfortable bed too. Convenient location for the business district and not too far to the airport.

Great location for traffic management. Rooms going through a process of renovation. The New rooms are much better. Great Middle East restaurant. Breakfast needs a rethink as it lacks the vibrancy of other hotels.

I stay in Le Meridian when I need to be in Jakarta CBD. It isn't so grand and flash as some others in the area and all the better for that. The décor in the public areas is a mix of various Indonesian style and features some excellent carved wood panels of historic eras. We were offered and accepted a reasonably priced upgrade to a Club room which suited us well as we tend to get a lot of visitors when in Jakarta. The food is fine without being outstanding but we mainly only took breakfast in t... Read more

Built in 1992 , with the Executive "Club" tower constructed in 1998, the Le Meridien is showing her age and, like Jakarta, the infrastructure is past its 'Best By' date. The hotel is due refurbishment, but this maybe halted due to the adjacent construction of a massive horseshoe shaped tower that will engulf the Meridien once construction is finished. The quality of food and service remains compatible with a five star hotel, but worn furniture, torn wallpaper and missing tiles (and palm trees!) ... Read more

I stayed here for 4 nights in the last week and had 3 separate check-ins, which all were very late & went quite OK, no waiting. The first time I stayed in the main building and the room there is nice, convenient and practical (power sockets above the desk, decent stocked fridge, ...) - the 2nd time they "upgraded" me to a room in the side building and here things were much less convenient - I much prefer the first building, where I did end up in my third stay. Overall, my feedback is: - Decent... Read more

Checked in from 21/11 till 23/11. Hassle free. Not the fancy hotel you get for the price I paid. IDR2,360,500 for a night. The rooms are just standard hotel rooms. Nothing to shout about. Toilet has a bath and a shower. Cozy enough. My room's view faces a construction site. So, had the curtains drawn throughout my stay. Room 404. What made my stay more pleasant was the lounge singer at night. Melodious voice. Breakfast has a good spread. Tasty too. Security was impressive. They even scan you wh... Read more

Very well situated in downtown It is not the newest 5 star hotel anymore and that one feel sometimes Aircon cant be regulated, the furniture was really used and the carpets too. Why they don't have a water cleaning toilet seat? The shower cabin was leaking but take is normal anyway in Asia. Room was quite noisy as there is a main road in front of the hotel. Try to get a room with pool view. Breakfast buffet is quite good with international dishes. Even good bread I found. Service is very... Read more

Stayed for 4 nights from 24/11 to 28/11 my first impression of the hotel was that it is run down but nicely located in the Central business area. However, the impression faded gradually after experiencing one of the best hospitality at every point. Check in staff was very courteous and polite in handling a group of 14 people. The restaurant and Lounge staff went beyond the expected to fulfill our diverse requirements. Overall, the property and its amenities were decent but the staff made our sta... Read more

Been staying in this hotel for a few years. Although the facade of the hotel looks dated, the renovated rooms are comfortable. Very impressed with the team managing the club lounge of the 20th floor. We held many business meetings in the club lounge and the team never fails to make sure that all the needs are taken care of. Thanks for the hospitality
