We stayed here on our return to Pondy and our selection of the hotel was a great choice. The room was on the first floor and had loungers outside on the terrace. The room itself was first class with an excellent shower. The food was excellent and the cooking demonstration each evening by one of the chefs, very informative. We really enjoyed our stay here for 2 nights and would recommend the hotel to future travellers. If we return to Pondy we will not hesitate to book this hotel again.

We stayed there for 3 nights from 24th march to 27th march.Pretty small with 10 rooms only.with cute verandas and courtyards full of plants.Good location if you dont get place to stay in the French section and are ready to walk to Gaubert Avenue etc Food was mainly uninspiring and inspid though at lunch Chettinaad dishes were much better!! There is no room service and no kettle for tea or hot water in the room I t really needs to improve its standards a bit !!!

We stayed here for one night whilst touring Tamil Nadu and it was a lovely experience. We were welcomed with a refreshing drink whilst checking in sitting in the lovely cool atrium. The hotel is small with bags of character and the food - we had lunch, dinner and breakfast was all first class. I would throroughly recommend a stay here

Firstly the hotel is a heritage building 130 years old and is a beautiful property with lovely verandas and courtyard full of plants and greenery. It is in the Tamil quarter but close to the beach and the MG Road. The room no.5 on the first floor was spacious and the bathroom a bit cramped but clean and very well maintained. The minuses were that they do not have room service and do not have a mini fridge or even a kettle for tea or coffee in the room. So when one is used to having an early m... Read more

We stayed one night at Maison Perumal in Puducherry at the end of March. The staff were amazing and so helpful. The food was good, what we tasted. The four poster looked inviting but having sat down on it the four poster bit collapsed on us! We laid it gently on the floor and didn't attempt to put it back together! The bathroom was very pokey but clean. Puducherry is delightful and very clean and the hotel is a delight.

Kudos to the team. Everything about the property is nice. Pros: Good location - Shopping street is just a 10 min walk from Maison perumal, and beach a 15 min walk, Rooms are a bit small but still nice . Restrooms are super clean. Food is out of the world. Good south indian dishes. Cons: The only one that I can think of is that the rooms don't have a balcony/Patio
