When we were driving from Bangaluru to Kochi, we stayed at the Shelrlock Home hotel in Ooty. The place is simply beautiful, on top of a mountain with a spectacular view. The room was rustic and comfortable and we had a veranda where we sat at night and watch the sunset. The air is pur and cool. The restaurant served excellent food and the staff, Sabarish, Marshal and Vigresh were doing the impossible to make sure we enjoyed our dinners. I would certainly return to this hotel and I would highl... Read more

We are visiting Ooty for the second time after 3 years.......but the minute we entered the manager greeted us and he instantly recognized us and said we had visited "Destiny Farms" which is another place under the same chain of hotels that they manage. This totally took us by surprise that he remembered us though we visited 3 years back. Sherlock is a beautiful place located on a small hillock. Its about 10 mins away from the buzz of the city and thus you can enjoy the calm and serene ambiance ... Read more

We visited recently the hotel is located almost 5kms uphill. The roads are not good, very narrow. Hotel entrance is even worst. All stones everywhere its not levelled. Don't ever book mountain facing rooms...its away from the main hotel. You have to climb for breakfast n other things. Was really upsetting n sad. Basic amenities were provided but was of very low quality. Kettle was broken. Room heater was not working properly. For every small thing you have to ask then only its given.Be careful wh... Read more

Spent 4 days at this property in Mid April 2016. The place is nice to stay for someone who loves nature. It is serene and calm, nice lawns to sit out having a Victorian style of accommodation. The hotel has limited rooms but what is important is you feel you are cared for by the friendly staff of this hotel. There is no commercial sense but a personal touch for the guests. We are extremely Thankful to Mr Sanjay who took extremely good care of us when we stayed at this hotel. He provided us the... Read more

A beautiful and calm place just 3 KMs from the city and very much approachable. Awesome views from the Mountain view rooms and from garden facing rooms. The hospitality of each and every member in the staff is commendable. Even the food they serve is very delicious and freshly cooked. Good place for the family to stay. Our 3 year old daughter enjoyed a lot. They very well maintained the Sherlock theme.
