We stayed at Sherlock with my family members as I was reffered by my friend who visited before and it was exceptionally worth it. We could not locate Sherlock easily but once we reached it was an heaven on top of the hill of ooty where we captured a peaceful stay sitting in the beautiful garden. Road to reach Sherlock was very narrow & bumpy but hoping the road will be better for my next visit. Rooms were very good and clean with an old style chimney which is necessary for ooty climate. Staff we... Read more

This is a British bungalow with each room having a covered sit out, where you can enjoy a drink or a warm cup of tea. The rooms are named after Sherlock Holmes novels. The rooms are spacious with a fire place. The food is decent and staff is friendly. The manager, Sanjay, engages in a good conversation and was mots helpful. Transportation arrangements can be made at the front desk.

Stayed for a day @ Sherlock in November'15. This was the second time we had booked out stay here. My previous stay @ Sherlock was awesome and in my opinion it "was" one of the best places to stay in Ooty (so said the Trip Advisor reviews which had ranked it as No.1 place to stay in Ooty as well). To my surprise, the standards have fallen a lot. The linen in the room was not clean and was torn @ few places. The Restaurant menu (Adler's) had hardly anything available (Available things were written... Read more

It is an amazing Theme Hotel trying to re-create 19th Century London or the Sherlock Era, as the name says. Every cottage is named after a case of Sherlock Holmes. An A+ for the concept. Amazing picturesque view of mountains, well maintained beautiful garden. Old victorian structure cottages, along with vintage furniture & fireplace in every cottage.Common seating area has lots of vintage furniture with a fireplace & other artifacts, creating the "Sherlock" look & feel. The complimentary break... Read more

The hotel is a heritage hotel - with a Sherlock Holme theme to it. The staff is very courteous and helpful.. and the best part was - they allow pets. So we were two families travelling with 2 kids and a dog.. The rooms are fine, clean... utilitarian and sufficiently spacious, if you need an extra mattress on floor (they didnt have beds). (the beds are queen size (or smaller?) - so u will definitely need an extra bedding, if its 3 in a room)... Each garden facing room also has a small covere... Read more

We stayed here for 3 nights in 2nd week of June(two adults and one child). I was little apprehensive about the hotel before we reached the place, but my doubts were put to rest after we reached the place. Hotel is a renovated british bungalow and maintained very well. Rooms are very good, styled with Sherlock Holmes mysteries as theme and named after his stories (we were allotted a room which was a little away from the main building). All the amenities in the room and bath room were in excellent... Read more

We stayed for 2 nights in mountain view rooms which have a really scenic view from the balcony. The food options and quality is pretty good. The staff are friendly and we liked their service too. You should stay here if you want to enjoy the scenic views and have a calm and pleasant holiday in the chilling ooty weather. It is a few kms away from the city on a hill which is a major plus point for this property

A fabulous property with nice landscape and equally efficient team. Our stay and needs were very well taken care of during the whole period of the stay. The team members especially the resort manager Sanjiv left no stone unturned to fulfill our needs. The food was good, with very nice portion size and value for money. Overall a very nice property to stay.

Exceptional. If you are looking to unwind and rest, be there, just relax and enjoy nature and the hospitality. Everything about this place is good. Its got a unique charm. I would highly recommend. Only one point, Hot water in taps. Could be nice, if it was available all day. Its too cold and the water is freezing.

I had heard good things about this place and booked it for a night for a short pre conference trip to Ooty. I had booked a standard room but got upgraded to one of the excellent cottage rooms due to it being off season. (I'm thankful to the hotel manager for that!!). I needed Google maps to get there as there are no clear signs on the main Ooty - Coonoor road. It is a small hotel with great cottages named after Sherlock Holmes stories, tastefully decorated. Great beds and large bathrooms. The co... Read more

Of what was meant to be a last-minute, unplanned getaway from the burdens of city life turned out to be the best vacation spot we've been to in months, perhaps years. A quick search into pet-friendly stays in Ooty pointed towards us booking the Sherlock hotel (we were travelling with our 4-year old pug). Getting there, you can't help a heavy feeling inside you as the last stretch of road leading up to the hotel gets a bit bad and narrower. However, you'd know this was the best choice to make as ... The hotel is nice and the staff is really helpful. Location of this hotel is awsome. Food is a little expensive. Rest is all good.we stayed here with toddlers & the staff arranged quickly for specific food requirements, which was nice. Every room has a fireplace which makes you feel like living in royal british era.

This place came out to a bit of surprise to us. We were on a roadtrip and our 2nd night was in ooty. The location of the place is amazing. You can see the dodabetta peak from here, it's actually quite close. You can even hike there from the hotel. The most interesting part was that the hotel had complete sherlock holmes theme. The food was quite awesome. And the deserts were exceptionally good. Overall the place was superb!

This resort is situated on the top of a hill. The vintage Ooty themed resort is just perfect in every aspect. It'll take you back to the 60s. The rooms near the main building are beautiful and have a porch with glass doors which opens to the lawn area. The view from the porch is to die for. The lawn is well maintained and having a tea in the garden is a must do thing. Food is great with wide variety of choices. All the staff are friendly and take care of your needs personally. Faraway from the concrete jungles of pune, there is a place in ooty, Sherlock. A scenic place with unique old world charm themed on Sherlock holmes. We stayed there for 3 nights 4 days during mid of July. Cottages here have vintage decor, a nice little fireplace in a corner. All the rooms are named after Sherlock Holmes cases. Ours was named "Blue Carbuncle". Apart from the beauty, other strength of the hotel is its extremely well mannered and polite Hotel Manager Sanjay / Marshall and their sta... Read more

Its a nice place to visit , away from all the crowd. It is situated at the top of the hill and excellent garden view from your room. All the staff are friendly and are very helpful. They also have a library(common) and fire place area in each room.
