The hotel is basic in appearance but is clean and is down a dark alleyway which when you first arrive to Delhi Is a little unnerving but the staff made the stay very pleasant and they were more than helpful, helped us book trains, get a SIM card and plan our itinerary. Enjoyed our stay and the location is great too (besides the alley) it puts you directly in the heart of old Delhi for that crazy experience. The food was really nice higher prices than street food but still a steal. Got 4/5 for me... Read more

The hotel was referred to my by my friend. Hotel was super clean and the staff was friendly and dedicated to their work. They have the best roof in old delhi, you can see the whole old delhi including red fort, gauri shankar mandir, jama masjid, gurudwara, etc. Overall great experience.

Friendly service, clean if austere rooms and a good breakfast. Free internet, yay! We arrived at 1.30am and were delighted to be warmly welcomed at such a late hour. The views from the rooftop are as stated but this is where the air conditioning units and laundry also are, so not quite the relaxing place expected. Linen clean, although greyish and worn, good value for the price....

We started and ended our three week India trip here. I was scared to death when I arrived at night, but soon found I didn't need to worry. If this isn't your first trip to India, you won't have any concerns. But the next day when the sun was out, I saw that everything was fine. Very helpful, friendly people. The food was some of the best we had in India. You can eat in your room, in the restaurant, or on the rooftop. They even taught us how to make the yogurt we loved so much. We will return her... Unfortunately the duct tape securing the cardboard over the A3 size hole in the bathroom wall had come away. The view through the hole was of the guy next door on the toilet. This in addition to the second hand pair of thongs that were intended for my use and the fact that the hot water wasn't available 24 hours a day without asking led me to find another hotel.

We spent three nights at the Tara Palace. Our first night was right off the plane. The free airport pick up was fantastic. Very helpful, with the driver greeting us at the gate and driving us straight to the hotel. No hassles. Once there, we settled into our rooms. The hotel staff were very helpful and assisted with everything from recommended local eateries to IPL & Train bookings. The rooms are simple, clean and comfortable. The restaurant on the roof serves good food with amazing views of the... Read more

My friend and I visited this hotel in the beginning of June. We arranged to have the hotel's driver pick us up from the hotel. (If you arrange for this--make sure you reconfirm with them before you land because they somehow lost our driver booking). We arrived at 2 am. The street that the hotel is located on was covered with people sleeping on the street, it was an unsettling first impression of the city but this is common for Old Delhi. The interior of the hotel was nice, the rooms were clean ... Read more

I wanted to be close to Red Fort and Chandni Chowk, but I didn't realize that this place is smack in the middle of the street bazaar. Absolute chaos right outside the hotel. Though once you are inside, it was calm and peaceful. Air conditioning was good. Shower was weak and lukewarm. Service and security were good. Breakfast was poor (the omelette was saturated with salt). But mostly -- the location was something else.

Visited in the beginning of July 2016. The entrance is a little shabby, but inside the hotel is very neat and clean hotel. Wi fi available with 50 rs/day charge. Very near to old delhi red fort, Jame mosque and Chandni chawk metro Station. Tuk tuk, cycle rickshaw and auto is available from the location. For 3 people our room cost 2150 rs (Ac). The staffs were very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommended

Room was quite clean, if you compare with street which you reach the entrance. It's well situated, close to Red Fort and the big Masjid, also the crazy Chadni Chowk and Chadni Bazar. Otherwise, it looks dangerous at night because it's rather dark. Recommended to visit monuments in Old Delhi but don't have a walk too late. Room service was good.

Amazing new hotel! I visited the hotel in July 2016. Its a new property and everything -right from the staff, the rooms, and the location- was great. The rooms were absolutely clean and comfortable. One of the nice things was the helpful staff who helped me with local information about food, and Chandni Chowk market nearby. I would definitely recommend this! Great experience, I would visit again.

I stayed here recently and was impressed with the quality of the location and staff. It is in the heart of Old Delhi and only a short walk from the Red Fort, Chandni Chowk, and Jama Masjid. It is a fascinatingly vibrant area perfect for exploring. Aside from a few rickshaw drivers, people tend to go about their lives without hassling you. The staff were incredibly accommodating when I needed to revise my booking, and are, in general, a very hospitable group. They go out of their way to help... Read more
