we stayed at Southern hotel for 3 nights in 2012. the pictures on their website were faked. nothing to do with what we found once landed in new delhi. When we asked about it we were offered another room as dirty as the first one but slightly bigger. Was so tired after a long flight and had no confidence other hotels are not the same: one thing on the website and something else on the ground. Was happy when I left and learned to do my own research and read reviews when it comes to accommodation i... Read more

We stayed in Hotel Southern in what they called "Super Deluxe Room" for a night, as Delhi was a transit point for us. The entry to the building, where our room was located, was through a dirty lane. The room was claustrophobic. There was just enough space to move around the bed. The telephone gave the impression that it had not been cleaned for long. The tiled floor in the bathroom was slippery. On the positive side, there are two restaurants, which served good food. The complimentary brea... Read more

Located strategically at Karol Bagh, it is the preferred destination for shoppers, city tourist and family. Inspite of good location the hotel has been failing in serving the guest. The quality has dropped drastically. The hotel is connected to its sistern concerns in south india and has good flow of guest. The travel agency beneath provides vehicle. though the staff attending the guests are very rude. Room service is very pathetic with no food covers and ice cold food always. Front office ... Read more

We stayed at this place for two days and it was quite good. The place is centrally located and is easily accessible from metro too. The rooms were neat and clean. The breakfast was complimentary from A2B and it was good, with limited options

Not worth for the paid , too costly for small rooms also , rooms were too small but the price was very high , situated in karol bagh there wont be any food options outside except their restaurant which was in hotel that too also was very costly for small amount of food , A2B the costly restaurant is there in Southern travels hotel , totally a dis satisfying stay.

stayed in this hotel for 03 nights during April 2016. It is comfort stay. I find that, this hotel is busy with tourists check-in/check-out around the clock as the management of this hotel is mainly engaged in arranging travel packages for tourists. Hotel staff are in systematic manner and attended promptly. Being south Indian, we did't face any problem in food point of view. Restaurant in this hotel is also good.

Not a best place to stay with the amount of money as it's cost , For 3000/ night a lot of much better option available. Morning breakfast only South Indian . No 24 hour food order option after 10 PM till 8 am if you are hungry then stay hungry inside , nithi g can help you, Room size is also small. Yes the transport facility to airport staion is a great compliment

I think this is one of the worst hotels I have ever been. I paid for a deluxe room because the standard double room was not available. I was taken out from the main building to a secondary building. While crossing the dark way an animal, probably a rat, ran across it. The room 327 was horrible and even if I thought it was impossible to see something worse when I entered the bathroom I realized that it was possible. It was disgusting. Trying to search for the toilet paper I opened a closet and in... Read more

Recently (May) took their 'Kashmir tour by Volvo.' This involves long distance travel by bus which was very inconvenient. The itinerary was not well planned and most of the time we would be travelling. While coming back from Srinagar, we reached Jammu by midnight and again had to start the journey at 7 am next day. On the way they stop at unhygienic roadside hotels for food. At Srinagar they promised one hotel, but provided another hotel by name Sterling - a bad hotel, to save money for them. At... Read more

Clean rooms. spotless linen .The downfall is that everyone from doorkeeper to server hold out their hands for a tip! It's comical how they refuse to leave till they get what try they feel they deserve.like the quintessential bellboy in the 1980s hindi movie.

The hotel provides good packages including Agra-Mathura visit as well as Local Delhi Tour. They have a free pickup and drop service from/to Airport. Nice friendly staff and the South India restaurant. We booked a family vacation and also visited Agra & Mathura.

We started the journey in Delhi. enroute, we had encountered the heavy rains, mud slides, delays and skipped lot of places that every other tour bus stops normally. Our promised Itinerary was different from rushed tour we experienced. The hotels were beautiful with good landscapes and waterfalls, but inside horrible smell, dirty bathrooms, dirty linen etc. Promised 3 beds and asked us to share 2. Very poor communication. Main thing is, Southern Travels is very poor in Communications. After severa... Read more

Hotel Southern - Basically the names itself reveals that it reflects someting from SOUTH part of the country is best for the SOUTHERN TRAVELLERS in the capital City. Located in the best reachable distances through out the city this place is very good for the tourists. Interesting part is that it is just 200 meters away from the best Delhi local Market. The food is very favorable.

I stayed here with my family for one night. Front office takes longer time to issue rooms than compared to other hotels. Staying in this hotel makes sense only if you have a tour booking in southern travels since the travels is attached to this building. They provide good complimentary breakfast for guests and not sure people apart from south India will like it as menu is purely south Indian. A2B restaurant attached to this hotel is damn expensive and it is better to have food outside if someone... Read more

We had booked in Hotel Southern by its repute since 1997. To our surprise, the hotel was quite untidy, smelling even wash room was not at at all clean. We tried to stop vomiting with difficulty. The linen was so so. But quality needs to be improved quite alot. We had to shift to Sai Nanak , KarolBagh by next morning. Please try to avoid till the management takes some corrective steps.

By seeing the pics online and in their wesite, i thought i have booked a good room. But, when i entered their hotel, i was Really Shocked !!!. Stinking Room, Leaking Taps, Bugs on Bed and so on.. Please dont visit this hotel evn if you get it for 100 ruppes a day. It will surely spoil your purpose of visit and you may get a disease.

I stayed in a Royal Southern room at this hotel along with my wife and 3year old son. My son just enjoyed the room (the bed & bath) and did not want to go out; he was happy to get a separate bed for himself with a floor-to-ceiling mirror. The best part of this hotel is its location - nearby Metro stations, Travels & Market place of Karolbagh. Even though it is in Karolbagh, it is easily accessible and one does not have to struggle through the busy market traffic. Cabs are also easily available. ... Read more

I had been recommended this hotel by a friend as a 'budget hotel'. It turned out to be a below average hotel. Cleanliness is surely not on their agenda. The bed sheets were not fresh. Found hairs of the previous occupants on the pillows.. The hotel did not provide me drinking water on day 1. Even though I asked them a couple of times, no water was provided. I stayed for a few days and found that they don't change the sheets unless we insist! The bathrooms were average but not cleaned da... Read more

But once we reached the hotel by 12;30 PM, it was well received by the hotel staff and the next day we had a very good south indian breakfast which included idli and uttappam. and we started by around 8 AM for Delhi trip.
