Feels like home again!! Back at my fave Shalimar for the weekend of meetings... This time stayed at The Malabar Suite. So true to its name , the whole aesthetics were absolutely pleasing to my taste... Four poster bed with ivory and gold curtains, brass pots with flowers, bed back wall adorned with little wooden boats of the south seas... And the hanging lamps with the twinkling fairy lights. Felt like I was in a small cottage in the Malabar coast... And the brass hardware on the wardrobe tool ... Read more

From the moment of entering, with the doorman offering his very pleasant greeting, to the relaxed air-conditioned Hotel foyer where booking in, is very pleasant and relaxed..... The restaurant is simply wonderful, from the beautiful food, and assistant's to help.... this is surely part of the bowl of gems the Shalimar offer's.... The rooms are very nice, and appointed well..... or, if in for a week or more, and there's a need to have cloths washed....... be careful, they'll return washed, ironed... Read more

Stay for a night but no value for money. Very small room. And as per the room and service, charges are very high. Breakfast so so. Nothing special. You have to call for toiletries. In Breakfast asked for a omelet but wait for more the 15 min then I left the table. No one ask me. Service also very delay.

I stayed here on my trip to India. A charming boutique modern hotel albeit with an old world tadition, the hotel is over 50 years old. The staff were helpful and competent. The romos were superbly appointed and the food was outstanding. The deli and bakery at lobby level were outstanding. Good value for money.

We stayed in South Mumbai for 3 nights and am so glad we chose this hotel. A quaint boutique extremely personalised hotel The staff were very friendly. There was this one particualr gentlemen who really helped us. was very friendly and dressed very dapper who advised us on lots of things in SoBo ( as South Mumbai is called) Coming back to the hotel, the accomodation is really good, super comfy matresses and nice washrooms. Try the deli down on lobby level not to be missed. Recommended hotel.

It is almost impossible to find--and stay--in a decent budget hotel in South Mumbai (SoBO). Hotel rates here reflect SoBo's soaring cost of real estate, and service is at par with the snootiness that the affluent neighborhoods of SoBo is known for. The Shalimar Hotel is thankfully a savior for those who seek a decent, no-frills budget hotel in SoBo. Located on the busy August Kranti Marg in Kemps Corner, The Shalimar has comfortable beddings for an overnight stay, and the breakfast is simple b... Read more

After a long and complicated flight I arrived at the hotel 12 hours late at 3am. I was greeted by three male staff members. When I was trying to explain the reason for the late check in and all the stress and exhaustion I had experienced with cancelled flights and the transfers not turning up to collect me from the airport, the staff were not at all interested in hearing me. In fact, they spoke in Hindi and were laughing directly at me, i felt very insulted. As a single female traveller, I f... Read more

This is my 3rd visit to the hotel. My work is on Peddar road which is barely 10 min away if traffic is not bad. My company put me up here the first time and hence have always chosen it. The angle room which i stayed in is amazingly functional. They have larger rooms but when u are staying for a day or 2 it is prefect. The toilets are nice and water pressure is goos. The closets have hangars specially for the ladies!! District Lounge - their new bar seems to be the new happening place in town. Th... Read more

Stayed in Mumbai for 2 nights on our way to Goa. We wanted to stay in this part of town coz my husband's two college mates lived nearby. They recommended this hotel and we were very impressed. Attentive staff, full attention to detail. The rooms are tastefully done, the design team seems to have thought of everything... The spa was outstanding and the food was absolutely great.

I stayed for eight days in Shalimar hotel on August Kranti road. This was my second stay at this hotel.Last time I didn't review the hotel but this 2nd time I feel I must because firstly I found the same top standard. Starting from very friendly and ever helpful reception staff. They were always happy to help to make my stay stressless. The hygiene is good. The in house restaurant has everything kind of food. In general it is very homly atmosphere and surely it is home away from home.

One of the best bakeries in South Mumbai, the Shalimar Hotel bakery has custom order cakes as well as bread, pastries, and coffee. Take away and eat in. Located at Kemps Corner, a trendy area with shops, restaurants, and condos.

I'm not new to Shalimar, have been staying here yearly since 2013, when I first came for the bypass surgery of my father. The hotel has been good, clean great location as always. But never has the hotel staff impressed me to the point of me having to take the time to write a review like the way they did this time. All the credit goes to the Front desk guy Mr. FARHAD LAKHANI, got me everything we needed as per our requirement, despite me having just walked in on short notice and made booking. ... Read more

Surprisingly the Gulmarg Restaurant in the hotel messed up out order and even the Oriental cuisine that was ordered by us was bad .. The stir fry veggies were in fact pan fried with a batter coating and the rice was very average .A friend later suggested that their Moghlai food is supposed to be good but I cannot be sure . The manager later compensated us with some complimentary dessert and that was nice of him and he was open to receiving our feedback . The chocolate mouse was quite okay .

This was my 2nd visit to this hotel, had stayed about less than a year. Nice hotel, excellent facilities. The deli at lobby level was a real treat plus the adjacent bakery. Helped that they have a salon in the hotel also. Rooms are very tastefully done and coupled with an excellent location, this hotel was nice.

An excellent place right in the middle of historic buildings reminiscent of the colonial past of Mumbai. Well kept, big rooms. Neat and clean. Good food. Wonderful cake and pastry shop. I would like to visit again... Go out for a walk in the evening or morning. A different way experience in mad Mumbai rush, calm and quite... Very close to Mahalaxmi temple and Juhu...

I travel to Mumbai about thrice in a year but generally stay in North Mumbai. My work this time though was in Churchgate so stayed at this lovely boutique hotel. Such a comfortable hotel. Accomodative staff. Traditional Namaste greeting by staff. Very nice and very comfortable rooms with all modern amenities. Good breakfast options. Safe and secure environment. Would definitely stay here again if I had to stay in this part of town

The single thing in this hotel which comes to mind is attention to detail and I was very impressed. the design aspect of this hotel is very influential however what impressed me more was the design teams aspect of functionality. The management has also looked into all the detailed aspects. Besides that, great service, great ambiance, super South Mumbai location all made it happen. Do not miss the spa and deli at the lobby, Indian food in the restaurant was great
