We as a family have always associated the Taj brand with quality and personal attention. The same could be found here too. First of all a big thank you to Mr. Sachin and Mr. Gajendra for making our stay memorable. This is an exceptional hotel, luxurious and comfortable. It has an old world charm about it. The rooms are wonderful, spacious and quiet. The staff right from Mr. Devendra - the General Manager on wards obliged every wish of ours and did everything to assist us during our stay. Exceptio... Very quaint 'outhouse' of the main Sawai Man Singh Palace , Large clean and comfortable rooms. Personalised service ( they have only 18 rooms I think). The Taj hospitality of old. You can spare a moment at the Desk and hear tales of glory! its only multi cuisine restaurant will willingly kick up a storm on any local cuisine of your choice. You have the evenings to wander across to the exotic gardens of the main palace or choose to have a quiet tea out in the private lawn of the hotel.

I arrived late at the hotel having flown in from Mumbai. A wedding was going on in the grounds and the staff said that we were more than welcome to join in the fun. I didn't take up the offer, and plumped to relax in the delightful room. The large bed was comfy and there was a large desk with comfortable office chair to write e-mails from, enjoying the free wifi. You are more than welcome to wander over to the adjoining Rambagh Palace, something I did on my second night here, enjoying a drink in... Read more

The hotel interior as well as exterior appearance is nice. I enjoyed my stay in hotel. It will be good if hotel can arrange some indoor games like - carom, pool, etc. I will strongly recommend it to others.

A small and Fab property in premises of Ram Bagh Palace and has access to Ram Bagh facilities as well. Must Stay. You will love the peace and serenity there. Lot of birds and peacocks around you. Good food and buffet breakfast spread is decent.

My daughters and I had a most enjoyable and memorable experience at the Taj SMS Hotel.... our favourite hotel in our visit to several cities in India! The hotel is beautiful and serene, as was our lovely and large room, as was the space around the hotel. We walked, and enjoyed every moment. The people were beyond exceptional.....all of them, with special regards to the lovely man who made our morning coffee and chai. I wish I remembered his name as well as I remember his face and manor. He has... Read more

Superb room and amazing space. Loved it. But Breakfast needs to be worked upon big time. Food is ok. Centrally located and a lot of open space. I was on a business trip but family will also enjoy thoroughly. Whenever you go there ask your taxi guy to drop to hotel infront of RBI building otherwise he will get confused between Taj SMS and Taj Rambaugh.

I visited Jaipur and stayed again at the Sawai Man Singh Guest Rooms and Hotel. Though I stayed for one night at the Hotel, the experience this time was good. I could see the marked improvement in the service. The staff receiving the guests at the reception as well as those attending the rooms were polite and courteous.

I have been regularly staying at this hotel now for many years. As always the staff is courteous and friendly. The rooms have also been refurnished and upgraded. Excellent location. However, the quality of breakfast is not exactly upto the mark and so can be avoided.

Visited Jaipur this June with my wife and stayed at the The Gateway SMS Hotel managed by Taj group. Stayed for two nights and it was a lovely experience. Small property sharing a common garden with Rambagh Palace Hotel, it had all the competence of the Taj Group. Good service, beautiful rooms and above all great food. To top it up, very affordable summer packages makes it an ideal Gateway.

Excellent welcoming of guests in the most royal manner. The rooms are very spacious, very neat, clean and tidy. Was pleasantly surprised and happy to see a peacock in their lush green garden, with whom my one year old kid played and enjoyed himself. Breakfast was good too. Very nice and recommended.

I would recommend this hotel to any of my friends. It is very secure with a very experienced and friendly staff. The peacocks always dance for me between 4:00-5:00pm. This hotel is the former maharaja's palace... It can't be beat.

My first experience in a Taj Group' property. Very good place, friendly staff and comfortable rooms. The calm surrounding comforts you immediately as you step in. Comforts, i feel are little beyond a Midscale category property. I recommend this hotel strongly for a small family or a group of 3 or 4 friends travelling for 2 to 3 days or more. I stayed in even higher category hotels in other cities in Rajasthan. SMS was the best...

The title of this review might sound dramatic, but that's exactly how this hotel feels. It's small, intimate and cozy, but with service levels pretty much matching up to what one expects from a Taj property. It is set within the grounds of Taj Rambagh Palace and has a guesthouse kind of feel. Given that it is a small property, do not expect all the frills of the usual Taj hotels. But you get what is expected. A smooth check in, followed by the staff showing you the room, which was gorgeous. The ... Read more
