Taj SMS hotel is surrounded by such a large expanse of green that one forgets one is in the heart of the city. Rambagh Palace Hotel is contiguous property so one can enjoy its splendor at 10% of the cost of staying there! Please insist for a lawn facing room to delight in the wandering peacocks. the dining hall here could have been more creatively handled - but a majestic experience i recommend walking thru their lovely laws to Rambagh Palace for a very affordable meal

SMS Hotel looked like a banquet hotel, but now taken over by Taj Group. And with Taj in its name, it comes with an an unparalleled service! The property is located in the heart of the city. Its a very quiet hotel with a huge lawn of its own, besides the beautiful lawns of the Rambagh Palace (which is its neighbour). Spacious, quiet, and perfect for a quick work trip or stop over in Jaipur. It's not opulent or dramatic like most hotels in Jaipur, but it is on the grounds of the Rambagh Palace. It has it's own little pool and restaurant, but you can also stroll across the grounds and use the restaurants and bars at the Palace. The staff is warm and hospitable and the vibe feels more like a guest house than a hotel. It's run by the Taj and is a great place to spend a night or two.

Taj has always been known for their high standards in hospitality. This particular property has no compromises. Themed with an antique look, high ceilings give it a very olden day and spacious feel. Almost all furniture is wooden and makes the rooms look very rich. Anyone, foreign tourist or Indians looking for a good comfortable stay should defiantly check this space out.

This property is in city, but very quit inside the walls. Excellent & spacious rooms, tastefully decorated. Ambiance outside is great with peacocks and other birds. When one of the family members fell sick, they quickly arranged an experienced Doctor to the room and were of great help. The front desk was very proactive and sympathetic. The only drawback was breakfast. There was absolutely no spread. One of the worst experiences we had in any hotel of repute. Day one they had few items and some ... Read more
