A restored building which is now classed as a heritage hotel. Lovely decoration, room we had including a 4 poster bed with an internal balcony looking into the hotel. Roof restaurant served drinks by charming staff. Nice breakfast served in separate building

A special thanks to Nidhi for letting me use her personal cell to help me change my air tickets, coming in on her day off to say goodbye and for the kind email she sent me for my birthday. Hotel was clean, beautiful and staff was excellent. Highly recommend giving 10 Stars.

What a beautiful heritage hotel this is ! Filled with old world charm, antiques , paintings it really is a palace and a visual delight ! We found the restaurant staff to be absolutely wonderful , very attentive to our needs , the food here is sensational and we didn't need to eat out as we also had wonderful Rajasthan dancers and musicians to entertain us each night. The pool was wonderful to cool off in , in the hot May weather. Our Royal suite was lovely although not large as we had hoped. All... Read more

We really liked our stay here but as the pool and the restaurant is a little small we didn't give it 5 stars though it deserves one. The staff is really nice and the owners are themselves involved in running of the hotel that is why the service levels are so good.

A heritage hotel with lots of characture, our room was beautiful with a smalll sitting room and four poster bed, very comfortable and calming. Rooftop resteraunt had a varied and good choice of food and the ambience was excellent. The outside pool area was lovley to laze in the late afternoon, few moskitos were around. Would recoment this hotel.

although we visited in February; i got quite busy and just forgot to write the review here, today i stumbled on my traveling docs and decided to at least acknowledge this superb property and its staff, specially the manager Devrat Singh; who was just excellent. he knows a lot about Indian history and specially about the Royal Family of Shahpura that owns this majestic hotel and he took out time from his busy schedule to show us around. the breakfast was very good and even the services of the spa... newly renovated building is wonderful and a good change as we have been coming here for a while now, best part about this hotel is that it is in a neighbourhood colony so we get a lot of peace and quiet. lovely ambience, aroma and feel to this hotel, the only thing i had a issue with was the breakfast, it has not improved over the years, please look into that and try to make breakfast more desirable.

Original wing was under construction, when asked, reception manager himself cam forward and took me to this wing for a visit. It was royal, both the wing and the gesture. Also, appreciate that even though construction work was going on in a corner of this wing, they entirely closed this wing and did no bookings into it. Well it's not "money on mind" always. Another example of Royal Gesture. Apart from this they had comfortable clean rooms, good food and easy connectivity. It s very close to rai... Read more

It is a brilliantly painted beautiful haveli---almost look like a painted treasure box! The style in very Rajput, but, is also not over the top like some other palaces in Rajasthan. The rooms are very clean and nicely decorated also. The staffs, particularly at the restaurants, are very cordial and always helpful. Even the guys managing the little shop was very helpful with tips about Jaipur. The ever smiling senior staff (unfortunately, forgot his name) at the restaurant took care of my parents... Read more

This was my second visit to this property. New rooms have been added. Decor is really superb but the professional services are missing. In the room electric point for the Tea Maker was missing. Washroom was getting wet due to some leakage. Staff is very humble but unprofessional. Some extra personal attention of the management can trun this hotel as finest heritage property in Jaipur.

Built in 1956, this 65 room boutique hotel is has a very colonial feel and style. Very well built and decorated it is truly a gem nestled away from the madness of Jaipur. Very economical and extremely pleasant staff. I highly recommend this boutique if you need rest and relaxation while in Jaipur.

Nice hotel and good clean rooms. The food of the breakfast, lunch or dinner is very good but the acoustic in the restaurant is very bad. The kitchen is very clean. Overal this is a very clean hotel only the pool was very dirty during our stay, It is located out of the old city and you always need a taxi or driver to go to the bazars, or to visit some activities 30 min' ride. The staf was very friendly only we had a waiter in the restaurant who was always insisting to order new drinks even if yo... Read more

There is a lot of building work going on especially at the entrance so first impressions are not good. But once you get inside as far as the reception you can see that this is the most beautifully decorated hotel. Our room was clean, comfortable, large and also beautifully decorated. The shower was fantastic. There are a few points that they could improve on however. The towels are clean but very old and they don't give you enough. The toilet paper is basically square napkins. The lights in the... Read more

Omg the hotel was such a magical palace! ! Out of a story book! The service and the atmosphere is perfect. The details of the art and pictures all over the walls takes you back in time. I would go back to india just for that hotel. Best in all india! !

This hotel has been meticulously renovated and feels brand new. Our suite had a beautiful terrace where you could sit and watch the sunset. The room was spotless and felt brand new. It really was luxurious. We ate in the restaurant twice and both meals were delicious. There is a small pool and a spa but our stay was short so we were unable to use them. Staff were attentive, friendly and very helpful.

This is a belated review of a wonderful stay April. My wife and I were on a Golden Triangle tour and we arranged the tour so that on 41st anniversary we were here. All the staff made us so welcome and the service could not be faulted. The ambience of the hotel was great; typically indian. The rooms, faciities and public areas are beautiful and clean. Evening dinners on the rooftop are romantic and memorable. The waiting staff were keen to assit with choice of food. Breakfast choice was go... Read more

Shahpura House is a perfect place to stay during a visit to Jaipur. The hotel is charming and the staff are courteous, helpful and friendly. A perfect blend of contemporary luxury and traditional Mughal architecture. We stayed here during our first visit to India while celebrating our wedding anniversary, and we were given an upgrade to a suite with inlaid marble floors (cool, in both senses of the word!) Superb.

Our family of 4 spent three nights at Shahpura House. It is a spectacular renovation of an old haveli. We stayed in the newer wing - the rooms were luxurious and comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The pool was so refreshing on days over 100 degrees. My one very tiny critique is that the reception staff could have been more welcoming and accommodating. I always felt like I was bothering them when I entered the office and they always seemed very busy talking to other peo... Read more

The experience I had at this hotel can be resumed to a Nice House. In fact, the house is very nice, well decorated to the Indian style. Nevertheless, an hotel is more than a nice house the owners of this hotel have a lot to improve the level of service. My bed sheets had some suspicious shades. The boys that cleaned the room left their hat there. I called the reception asking for shower gel and no one came to deliver it to me. The level of service at the restaurant can also improve a lot, especi... Read more

After the initial hiccup of no hot water and noise from the refurbishment works, we asked to be moved. We moved to new wing of shahpura house which had all the modern amenities yet it was tasteful decorated in old world charm. The staff were very helpful and courteous. Breakfast was good but nothing special. Location wise shahpura house is centrally located and easy access to the sights and shops.

It's very nice hotel with good facilities. The value of the hotel is the Haveli type decoration and rooms are artistic. Breakfast options can be better. The location is accessible from the city easily. This is slightly overpriced for the services offered. Overall a decent stay for families

This is a very interesting hotel, with a real 'Last days of the Raj' feel. Service was good and I'm sure the hotel will be fantastic once the building work is finished. It is just not quite there at the moment.

We arrived to what can only be described as what looked like someone's garage door. We were not told that that was extensive renovations taking place during our stay which meant the reception was in a small room with a couple of chairs. Not a great start. We were then shown to our room which was a nice size but things quickly went wrong. No toilet paper so we rang 3 times and an hour later got it. The towel rail in the bathroom fell of the wall leaving quite a hole and the fridge wasn't working.... Read more

This is a stunning property, beautifully renovated and appointed. The building work seems to be nearly done - at the end of August they were just working on the reception area. Rooms are large with a separate lounge / seating area and quite luxurious bathrooms with walk- in showers. However, service seems to let it down. We were promised rooftop dining on one evening ( this looks very attractive on their website) but an excuse was made that the rooftop was a mess due to work being done and there... Read more

On the dear wside WHAt irritated me off was the ripoff with the alcohol. They and us all buy gin for 650 rupees. on ordering we are told that is a half nip. Despite on the menu something different. That's 500 plus taxfor a nip when bottle costs. 640 rupees MAYBE owner should realise you rip off once and word gets around. In the lo... Read more

This hotel is very impressive- it was a former king's palace and when you stay here that's how you'll feel. Food was great but a bit expensive when you add all the taxes. The rooms are spacious and there is a walk-in shower with a rain shower. One problem is that the door between the bedroom and bathroom is translucent and the bathroom light is a sensor light so there is no way one person can go to the bathroom during the night without disturbing their partner. That was our only complaint. A lov... Read more

Stayed for 2 glorious nights. Hotel décor is very impressive and adds to the 'Indian' experience in Jaipur. Room was extremely spacious with a separate and generous seating area, coffee & tea making facilities, large tv and lovely modern bathroom. Did not use the swimming pool as we were both sick, but it looked lovely, although quite small, with lounges and towels around it, plus there were tables and chairs on the grass area near the restaurant to relax. Buffet breakfast was well presente... Read more
