We just loved the Hotel Arches. It was small, cozy, quaint and intimate, perfect for an island hotel. The room was small but sufficient enough for the two of us for one night. There was a nice bathroom and Indian style shower. There was a large shower curtain and wand to sweep the water towards the drain. Our son stayed in the adjacent room and his room had a sitting area. Although there was no elevator it wasn't needed to get to the second floor, the carpeted steps were fine. The open dining ar... Read more

My room 105 was like a dungeon--albeit clean and well appointed, and yes the staff are absolutely lovely, no complaints here at all. I had to set the alarm because I couldn't tell when it was morning. It was depressing, really dark, had no have the light on in the middle of the day. At night it was dark as tomb--being Australian not used to sleeping in completely dark rooms like the Europeans and shattered windows. Considering when I booked this hotel, I was not expecting a room with a window ... Read more

We had two double rooms on the second floor at the front of the hotel. Very clean with good facilities with quiet air con. Lovely rooftop restaurant for breakfast and lunch. Great food. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. Great location for exploring Fort Kochi

Had two nights here - fairly average hotel, nothing really bad , but nothing really great either. Breakfast was served on the roof, not the best choice but the masala dosas were nice. The room was clean but we slept near to the iron staircase to the restaurant - so a bit noisy in the mornings! Could do better.

We stayed here with a large group of people on the back end of a yoga retreat. The hotel was chosen by the organisers and they chose well. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable and the aircon and ceiling fans worked well. When you get to your room just turn the fans on to check that they run silently. The breakfast room was on the roof terrace and whilst it wasn't a great spread it was adequate. The staff were friendly and helpful. We only ate one meal (other than breakfast) there after we... This is a medium class hotel with good facilities. Rooms fairly large but quite dark. Good comfortable beds. Very clean hotel. Lovely staff which haven't changed from last year. Close to town. Totally safe area. Lovely rooftop restaurant for breakfast

We stayed here after completing a tour of Kerala, finishing in Kochi. The hotel is quite ornate and has a yesteryear feeling to it. It is quite close to the Chinese Fishing Nets and other attractions like the Indo-Portuguese museum and basilica. The room was quite comfortable. The restaurant on the roof was a great spot to view the kochi rooftops at breakfast. The breakfast selection was great and pancakes or eggs can be requested and made to order. The hotel staff were quite helpful in arr... Read more

We stayed at the Arches for one night. They accommodated us with almost no warning, the night before New Year's Eve, for which we were very grateful. They were efficient to deal with and our room was at the back away from the busy street, large, clean and quiet. Breakfast was on the roof terrace and good. The hotel staff were friendly and kindly, helping us get a taxi for our onward travel and generally making us feel most welcome. The hotel could hardly be better located, in the heart ... Read more

After our original hotel let us down the Arches managed to accommodate us over the New Years celebrations. The room was comfortable and clean with good air con and tv. The breakfast was good and plentiful however it is open air which is lovely except when the neighbours are burning rubbish and you get smoked out at breakfast. The location is good near the bars and cafes and walking distance to some attractions. We expected that the prices were inflated for new year and with the Arches your payi... Read more
