We stayed for 2 nights in January and had a lovely time. The hotel staff were attentive & the d├ęcor charming, but the highlight was dinner served in the main restaurant. Exceptional cuisine using quality ingredients, absolutely delicious! Service at breakfast was a bit hit and miss, but other than that faultless.

Had a lake view room with an outside balcony on the second floor. Very spacious with a comfortable, large (and high) double bed with a step beside it to climb aboard. Two restaurants in the hotel - we ate in the upstairs History restaurant on both the nights we were there and found the food first class. It was pleasant to take breakfast on the terrace outside the Armory restaurant, with a good choice of European or Indian dishes. Enjoyed a (free) trip on the hotel's boat on lake Venambad and a co... I had a dinner at The Armour, fancy place with excellent food and very well mannered staff. Building itself is beautiful and worth visiting. Good for an evening drink or dinner with a water view. Recommended

We stayed here for 2 nights and everything was lovely. Extra special bonus was getting invited to the owners son's wedding reception! The entire property was filled with 600 of his close personal friends and was just wonderful to experience. The room was nice and large with incredible views. Highly recommend it!

We had stayed at Brunton Boatyard about five or six years back. Am glad to say that the ambience and beauty of the hotel stays the same. The view from the room balcony is amazing. The room was comfortable and quaint with all the wood and high bed and old electricity switches. The staff was pleasant. However I must point out that the check out at the front desk was not as smooth or fast as expected. We stayed on two different days. The first time we were welcomed with cold towels, flowera and ten... Read more

We spent a few days here before Christmas and were very much looking forward to our stay given all we had read and our research. Don't get me wrong, BB is a unique and well located hotel with an attractive, rustic and authentic building. But it is not quite up to the standard of a true boutique hotel and especially for the room rate we were being charged. Our room was nice but very small. Furnished pleasantly with local wooden furniture and overlooking the swimming pool and bay. Tiled floor.... Read more

The Brunton Boatyard is a gorgeous medium sized hotel in Kochi. After staying at chain, luxury hotels throughout other states in India, the Brunton Boatyard was a welcome change. As an immaculate heritage hotel that was restored from an old ship building yard, the hotel has no shortage of charm and character. The staff was always attentive to guest needs and very friendly. The breakfast included with our rooms was delicious, as was dinner at one of the in-house restaurants. We were especially ap... Read more

We had a beautiful top floor suite that was truly spacious and comfortable. The decor and the facilities were first rate with a lovely pool to cool off when needed. The food was well prepared and a good choice on the menu. The fish restaurant was good and a lovely outdoor setting but we had a long wait for our main course i.e. Well over an hour so not great. This is an expensive hotel and therefore my only real criticism is that the desk made no effort to help guests change the larger notes ... Read more

We arrived at this beautiful historic hotel at 10am having travelled all night. We were immediately made to feel welcome. We had booked a suite but as this was not available until later so we were given a room so that we were able to wash and have a rest. The service throughout our stay was excellent. Well worth paying the extra for a suite, sitting on the balcony watching the traffic on the river will stay with us for ever, and the bed was one of the most comfortable we have slept in. We at...
