We stayed at The Lemon Tree a few days ago and after arriving from a long haul flight where our luggage was lost, we kindly asked if they had a room available but the answer was "only if we paid". No compassion at all for 2 very tired travellers! After 30-minute-negotiation we had the room for a reduced fee. The rest was fine, very clean room for Indian standards and everything in working order. When we went to pay the bill we found that taxes were not included! Mind you, they are never includ... The single occupancy rooms are really tiny and there is a garbage dump view outside and a building so close that you need to keep the curtains closed if you want privacy. Yes, of course you can see the river in the distance, but you'd really have to crane your neck for that. [Not applicable if your room is facing the river] Moreover, my room was stinking so bad when I got in. I complained and housekeeping came and sprayed something and then I got numb to the smell I guess, but it was disappoint... Read more

Very nice hotel with very nice staff. Rooms are done nicely, food is great ( we took nearbuy.com deal for food). It's in the middle of residential area and there are not my options to eat outside. If weather permits, dine in open area of the restaurant with nice river view.

This is the best place to stay in the Ahmedabad for higher budget. The hotel is located in the heart of the city and at the most serene place along the Sabarmati River. Hotel staff are awesome. They are very cooperative and always ready to accommodate the requests of visitors. For example: The room booked in the particular category was not liked by me and same was also located where Sabarmati river was not visible. Upon my request one Mr. Vijay, upgraded my room to higher category. Hotel Staff a... Read more

We had travelled to Ahmedabad for a day last week and one day prior to the flight we had booked a room at Lemontree Atrium online. While booking we had mailed our flight details so they knew we would be arriving around midnight of the check in day. When we reached the hotel on the said date at around 12.45 in the night we were very regretfully informed by the front desk that they had no room for us as some of the rooms had a sewage problem since morning, and they would have to shift us to a diff... Good Hotel. Restaurant staff makes you feel at home. 2 good chefs Lakhan will prepare even things that are not on the menu if you so request. The hotel is along the river. Everybody knows Neru bridge. NO noise in the evening or night. A little bit far from main city malls. About 7 km. 70 inr for yellow taxi.
