The hotel is definitely in need of upgrading, but the rooms are clean and staff is helpful. It was part of a package through GateOne travel. Although check-in wasn't until 2pm, we arrived at 9 am and were allowed to check in. That was very helpful since we had just arrived from the airport.

We were a little concerned before we stayed at this hotel as some reviews had complained that it needed upgrading. True the furniture in the room was a little shabby but the bathroom was brand new, the room was spotless and the restaurants and bars were immaculate. The views from our room were stunning and the best part was that it was a 10 minute walk to the restaurants and bars but was totally quiet at night with no noise from late night revellers

Saga is a great hotel with amazing service. Huge rooms with big bathrooms, everything is new and modern. Cleaning ladies don't do the best job cleaning but if you report it it will be fine I feel like. The location of the hotel is good too, 10minutes from the center downtown walking. The only thing that is a problem are the prices, however that is an ICELAND general problem. THE MOST EXPENSIVE PLACE ON EARTH! Bring loads of money w u! However it is the most beautiful country in the world!

The hotel is located about a 20 minute walk from the city center area. The rooms could definitely use some upgrading, at least in the wing we were in. There was also some construction going on at the back side of the hotel, and it was quite noisy during the day. The best thing about the place was the buffet breakfast, which was included in the price of our room.

The Radisson Bue Saga sits a little outside the downtown area of Reykjavik, but not a far walk at all. It is also across the street from the National Museum, which is very interesting. We went there first and got the history of Iceland before exploring. The people are great and there is an onsite booking office that can help with any tour reservations. Everyone is very nice, the rooms are typical and they have a nice restaurant/bar area. Breakfast was good too! I would definitely stay her... Read more

The hotel was expensive for what it was. Reception wasn't the most advisable. For tourists that had just landed and hungry she wasn't able to advise us on where to eat. Breakfast wasn't included in the room. The one morning we did buy it (£20 pp) it was nice but avoid the omelette. It badly upset my stomach. Rooms was fine.but no plug beside the mirror for ladies to do their hair with their own hairdryer or straighteners. Watch out for the last check out fee of tax upon checking out. This seem... Enjoyed our stay at Radisson Blue Saga. Room were large and clean but a bit dated. Short walk to Reykjavik city. Would stay there again despite getting stuck in lift but when I got back to my hotel room after a day out there was a nice bowl of fruit in the room as an apology for my experience in the lift. We also found the staff very nice.

The hotel was perfect for us. Lovely breakfast & nice view. The only down side was the safe being out of reach, (I have no idea why they put it on the highest shelf that only Icelandic trolls can reach),and our bath was chipped and a little grotty. We also had single duvets on our double bed, which was odd ?!Apart from those tiny things we had a great stay. The hotel is close enough to the centre to walk (15 mins) and far enough away if you do not want to be kept up from the lively night life. I... Read more

I had high expectations of this hotel as I am familiar with the Radisson Blu brand but I was very disappointed with this hotel. I would have to say the recent review from 'Jody M' absolutely captured exactly everything I was thinking. This hotel is NOT downtown and is not near anything. The rooms were small, dark, dated and daggy. Based on the images on their website, I must have been staying in a non-renovated room as the rooms look NOTHING like the room I had. I dont understand the two single ... Read more

The great location, spacious rooms, and friendly staff made this older hotel a good choice for our three nights' stay in Reykjavik. We easily walked to the city center and National Museum and especially enjoyed a swim at the nearby thermal pool, Sundlaug Vesturbaejar (the desk will even offer you a free admission ticket), and a stroll through the cemetery. The location and weather were so good that we did not need to purchase a bus pass as we originally planned. The hotel's included breakfast w... Read more
