You will not be disappointed if you stay here. The location is the best. Right across the street from the parliament building where many of the walking tours start. We were able to walk to Harpa and to the modern church and to the old harbor. Excellent restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Once you park, there is no need for a car to do the main sights. Parking is at a premium and there is no designated hotel parking. Staff can direct you to a car park under the town hall. We flew into Keflavi... Read more

This hotel checked all of the boxes. Reasonable, great location, quiet, clean, and spacious. We were on the 2nd floor with two double beds. When you entered the room, the two beds were to the right. What's really nice is that there is a full height wall between the two beds. Although it did not provide absolutely privacy, it certainly helped. The bathroom was at the end and to the left was a small kitchenette and sitting area in the front by the windows. The windows are operable to allow fresh a... Read more

After checking guidebooks, Trip Advisor and Googling we are so glad we chose Kvosin. Perfect location in the center of town, set back from the bustle in a small square, near Lake Tjornin and within easy walking to restaurants ( many wonderful ones), the harbor, shopping (wide variety including grocery stores) and Harpa concert center. We stayed at 3 different hotels in Reykjavik during the course of our visit to Iceland. While they were all nice hotels, The Kvosin really stood out. The location was wonderful---close to the center of things but in a quiet pocket. Our room was nicely appointed, with a kitchen and small living space, comfortable bed, and nice linens. It was fairly large by Reykjavik standards. We were able to check in early. Snorri, the general manager, was very pleasant and helpful. When we first arrived,... Read more

We stayed at the Kvosin before and after our son's wedding in Iceland recently. It was the perfect hotel for many of the guests to stay and enjoy catching up with each other. The apartments are spacious and well equipped, the service was very friendly and efficient, with a relaxed atmosphere. We managed to see quite a bit of the city and enjoyed the delicious brunch breakfasts in the cafe downstairs before heading out on various coach excursions.

Parking not really an issue if you are travelling out for the day and not coming back until later. The hotel has a really nice atmosphere and the rooms are large with nice modern bathroom. We stayed in a family room and space for a family of four. The staff was very accommodating. The bar was nice and pretty empty for the summer. The room was a little small, but it was very well organized and had a kitchen which would be nice for a longer stay. We did not have a lot of time here, but most restaurants we checked out were walking distance away.

Overall our stay couldn't be better. The staff were very friendly and always attentive. The rooms were truly stylish, with all amenities that one would aspire to have; a kitchen island with a nespresso machine, utensils and a small fridge, decent size comfortable beds, lots of plugs available, a designer radio. Location is very central, yet also was not noisy as it is on a side street. It was also easy to get to, and had (paid) parking in front. Highly recommended for families.

The design of the apartments, at the top floors, is pure Scandinavian, modern and clean. I'll start by saying that the only reason I did not give a 5 star review was the noise factor. The room was fabulous, but faced the street and there seemed to be a bar/party going on directly across the street. My husband and I stayed at Kvosin for a week in early November and we were so delighted to find a clean, friendly and beautiful hotel for us to stay at. The service was wonderful and it was so clean and tidy. The location was perfect - very central to everything you could ever need and having a kitchenette was perfect as we made our own breakfast and dinner each night (food in Iceland is crazy expensive). However, it was a bit loud. It's across from a church and the church bells ring a lot and y... Read more

We did a 2 day stop-over. Easy walk to shops and restaurants. Loved the set up so we could cook a little for our own breakfast. We had received really helpful information via e-mail about how to get to the hotel from the airport. And the receptionist was very helpful whenever we had a question. We would definitely stay here again.

This was my first trip to Iceland and I had NO idea what to do for a hotel, so I relied on TripAdvisor and can honestly say Kvosin was truly one of the best hotels I have stayed at. Quaint, well appointed, homey, and comfortable room. We had an outdoor room with a great layout. Kitchen area, living room and bedroom fit three very comfortably. The staff was incredible. So helpful and kind. The location is THE BEST. It is right downtown and near everything. Nothing was a far walk and the restauran... Read more

I cannot say enough about this hotel. It is beautifully designed and decorated. The cafe next door for breakfast is lovely and cosy and very tasty. The hotel staff all went out of their way to help me with my plans and tours. They even organised a restaurant on my birthday night. Was such a wonderful stay and will definely return.

We loved our stay here. You are right in the centre and a short walk to restaurants, bars etc. There are kitchen facilities in some rooms which is really helpful for keeping costs down (we had breakfast in our room every day). Also, a really helpful reception.

Really liked this. Service is very good and we hd a very large room. Locations is central beat everything. Pricing ( for Iceland ) is decent. Good pick if you are there. Note the restaurant on the corner left: amazing for brunches

The suits are beautifully decorated and spacious with a kitchen setup which we did not have a use for. The hotel does not have parking; however there are public parking surrounding the hotel. For those who are staying more than a day or two, can become cumbersome. The parking is cheap.

Hubby and I enjoyed our stay here. The room is a lovely size, clean and well laid out. Situation is outstanding. Staff have been so helpful and friendly. Con, the sink in bathroom is so small I can only just use it, hubby not so much! The bar is lovely but like most bars in Reykjavik, the drinks priced us out of wanting to spend any more time in it.

We stayed at the hotel for one night at the end of August, with some family members. We stayed in a quadruple room, which is perfect for families. Nicely decorated, kitchen island with a few pots and pans - in case you want to cook one night. The location is perfect and very central, you can walk from there and visit the town by foot. Staff was helpful and friendly. On the downside parking in front of the hotel was full so we had to park further, so if you arrive at a busy hour, you ned to take... Read more

Not much else to stay . Reykjavik is expensive so don't he surprised by prices. The hotel is on a great location. Rooms are well designed and comfortable. Breakfast was extra but not mind blowing prices like some of the restaurants. We had a kitchenette in ours which was useful for drinking in the room and nibbles. Kids (7&5) slept well in the sofa bed. Great shower. Nice products in bathroom. Would stay again. Would go to Iceland again too it's really magical.

We stayed on the night we arrived in Iceland. Exhausted from a long flight and Blue Lagoon this place made us feel at home. From quaint kitchen to comfy bed it had all. The street noise was light but the clock noise was annoying. The bathroom was as expected and had shampoo/conditioner,Hair dryer, and a body wash. We stayed with our 2 young kids and kitchen was a bit small to work around but it was okay for 1 day. Location is convenient to many of the fine dining in the block! We stayed ... Read more

We stayed here for four nights as a family of four, two teens. The room was very clean and had everything we needed and more. The hotel has a bar and a seperate restaurant within the building and is located very centrally with easy walking access to the town. The only issue we had was noise from the room above as the floor are timber and we had constant foot traffic noise at night from what seemed to be younger children in that room. We were also woken up at 5:30 one morning by the noise. We re... Read more
