Stopped here on a four day trip to budapest in December. The staff were incredibly helpful in providing pointers for sightseeing and it is handy for the castle and fisherman's bastion. Great views across the river to the parliament buildings and also handy for the metro station if you don't fancy the walk across the chain bridge. The breakfast set you up for the day. Lots of choice and happy to provide as much coffee as you need and we ate dinner one evening which was very pleasant.

It's in a good location and conveniently located, only a 10 minute walk from Margaret bridge which leads to Pest and there are transport connections only minutes away from the hotel (tram, bus and metro). Only a few things to mark down on: the windows weren't clean and it was 3 of us in the one room but we only had provisions for 2 (e.g. glasses) I damaged my foot while I was out there and went to reception to get something from the first aid kit. I was lucky enough to get a room facing the Danube river and the magnificent view of the Parliament building. You would want to keep your curtains open day and night to enjoy the views of Budapest. The room was spacious enough. Breakfast variety was ok but can get busy at peak hours. Hotel location though was not near the city center.

Stayed here on tour for 4 nights it is on the river. Almost directly across the river from parliament building when this building and the bridges are light up at night it is an outstanding sight. The city centre is 20 mins walk or 2 stops on the underground. The hotel facilities are basic buy clean. Room was small and tight. Breakfast and food were basic but adequate. Comfort levels basic but sufficient for travelling/overnight. Foyer small and does mot facilitate lounging around

This was our third stay at Novotel Budapest Danube, we had been here in the summer of 2012 and 2014. In theory, the hotel is lovely: great location with view of the Parliament, excellent parking, a good breakfast, clean rooms, and friendly staff. However, their air conditioning was already not working great in 2014 and they had a laminated note in each room about it being an exceptionally hot summer. A good quality hotel on the quieter buda side of the city. Slight nuisance, but the metro is only three minutes walk away. We had a great room overlooking the Danube directly opposite the splendid parliament building. Staff friendly, helpful (not always the case In Eastern Europe), breakfast good and bar prices sensibly not outrageous. You don't have a great choice of restaurants on the buda side, but as I said, it's unto cross the river to Pest anyway. Would stay again!

Clean and nice in general. There were two things I can mention that I didn't like too much: The toilet was in it's own room, separated from the bathroom. There was no sink in the toilet, so you have to go through the main room and into the bathroom to wash your hands after visit to toilet. Also, when showering, the bathroom got wet all over the floor, since the shower door led the water so that much of it ran onto the floor of the room. Stupid design.

This is a very nice hotel, located near the Danube, with a great view. You can easily walk from here to the city center, and if you like to go running you have to be here! Just be careful with the taxis and taxi drivers, even if you ask for one at the hotel reception, they like to decieve the tourists.
