a great hotel, just out of the city centre. Well accessible by car and public transportation. It's a big hotel, with a lot of facilities. Professional conference facilities although we didn't use those. Food and service are great.

Our flight did not depart until 9pm. I asked if they had a half day rate an was told for 22 euro we could keep our room until 6pm. That was perfect since that was the time we would be leaving for the airport. The location was not the best but there was a mall across the street where there was an cinema, restaurants and a grocery store. The rooms were a bit small and the AC was a bit confusing to operate.

Not a bad location, in a quiet part of Buda but only a few stations by bus to the city center. The hotel has a common satisfactory standard of quality for the Novotel hotel chain. The most we liked are contents of spa center and a rich breakfast. A few minutes from the hotel is a large shopping center with nice sports center (outdoor and indoor swimming pool, various courts, kids playground etc.). Hotel parking is expensive (15 euros per day) but in neighboring streets you can find free parking ... Read more

Been several times to this hotel. Ok situated close to the south railwaystation and mom shoppingcenter. The hotel do not use any money to renew or keep the standard. Even the x-box in reception is taken away for "repair". Typically now a low standard congress-hotel. Breakfast ok- but lack of fried eggs and bacon.

To recommend to anyone who does not want to stay directly in the city center but not so far from either. Good connection possibilities. Clean and fresh. Good service. Near to shopping center and sport center with swimingpool.

The hotel looks pretty new and modern, with all modern facilities. The rooms are small though, especially the bathroom, almost comparable to those in Tokyo, very tiny. Other than that, the staff are in general young and friendly, they can speak good English. There is a pool and a gym, a sauna and Turkish bath in the hotel for guest use. The location is a little bit far from the city center, around 30 min walk away from Danube river.

It was my first stay at Novotel. Firstly, outlook of hotel seems very obsolete. I wasn't expecting such a nice reception with luxurious interior design. We arrived at 1205 Hours therefore had to wait for 45 minutes to get our room key. Everything was fine. Room was quite comfortable. I stayed for 5 nights. An annoying thing occurred to me that cleaning lady didn't come to our room for two consecutive days. So i called reception guys & reminded them for housekeeping of our room. However hotel sta... This hotel is not in the city center but there are a lot of public transport options around going to city center or to the M1 or M4 metro lines. Nice park beside the hotel and a shopping mall too. Hotel is about what is to be expected, bulilding a bit old style, but good enough internally.

It is clearly not a new hotel. However it gives a good value for your money. Stayed there 1 night only. I still could enjoy the spa of the hotel after work as it is open 23:00 every day. the pool was a bit small but there is steam room and sauna too. Very kind reception staff at check in and at check out too. Will come back soon

The hotel is on the Buda side of Budapest, it is in a great location with views facing the hills. There are great links like the buses to get into the city, there is a shopping mall next door. The hotel itself offers a lot, the swimming pool, gym and bowling alley are fun to use. The restaurant is big, and the food is brilliant. Staff are friendly and happy to help. The rooms are well presented, bathroom id lovely. Beds are comfy.

Breakfast was delicious and had a lovely time in the Spa. At the reception a very kind gentleman called Gabor helped us a lot of choosing restaurant and with directions. This was my first time in Budaopest. The city is beautiful. Easy to explore and very very cheap. I would highly recommend to every visitor a river cruise on the Danube. The hotel offers a very good valeu for your money. booked iot through the hotel's website direct and gave us the best price and conditions available. The staff at the reception and the restaurants are very helpful and friendly. I recommend this hotel to everybody visiting Budapest

My first trip to Budapest. I chose this hotel mainly due to its proximity to the dentist I was attending. I did not intend seeing much of the city, expected to have treatment then return to the hotel to chill and do little else. Budapest is spectacular though and spent many hours touring this stunning city. I canâ??t wait to go back! The hotel does not have much kerb appeal, not the most attractive of buildings, BUT inside was exactly what I was after. Bright, clean welcoming lobby, with friend... Read more

What a nice hotel. The lobby is fresh and modern. We were shown to our room which was really nice. Very clean and modern. Kettle with complimentary tea and coffee, mini bar, TV and safe in room. We had a meal on the Terrace which was really nice. Was surprised to find a small pool with sauna and Turkish bath. There is also a full size bowling alley, you can have a meal or a drink and play. Just 200m from the hotel is a supermarket and nice shopping mall.

We stayed at this hotel on a Leger European tour coaching holiday. Hotel provides accommodation at a basic level. Rooms are on the narrow side which makes the rooms feel small and also reduces the size of the bathroom/toilet rooms which is not good. We had included evening meals and breakfasts as part of our package which too be fair could have been better. As the hotel is on the top end of Buda hill it's too far to walk into the city and the trams and buses are a fair way away so you will need... Read more

We had a room for two adults and two five year olds but spent most of the time in the room crawling over each other. Tiny bathroom - trying to shave, my elbow kept hitting the hair dryer on the wall. Service was ok and the location, next to a big shopping centre, was fine but the size of the room really was a massive black mark.

We are French Family with 2 young children and each trip in Budapest we are going to Novotel Budapest City because it s the best hotel in term of price, accomodation and services. The staff is very professional and you feel welcome. Moreover all services as restaurant or pool, taxi are well organized and without incident. We just recommend to use the executive room for 4 persons.

This is a very busy hotel with the lobby always full of guests checking in and out. having said that, the organisation and reception could not be faulted and all the staff were friendly and smiling. The food was very good, both breakfasts and evening meals, with a good choice at both. Plenty of room to sit and not feel pressurised to move on. Bed was comfortable and I slept well both nights of our stay. Only odd thing was that the shower room with hand basin was separate from the loo.
