A very good hotel. In every place, beautiful view, friendly staff, good spa, the hotel offers picturesque surroundings. We were only 4 days, this is a very short period of time, be sure to come back to your friends.

The hotel is conveniently located just a few blocks from Metro station. Breakfast was wholesome and diverse, rooms were comfortable. The spa area was also nice although we would have expected a few more steam rooms in a hotel that calls itself a spa resort. But the pools were fantastic and the jacuzzi was really relaxing. Service was OK, perhaps the staff could use a little friendly smile now and then but overall quite passable.

For these 15? you will buy 3 breakfasts for 2 persons. And behind this supermarket there is a chinese buffe - noyhing special, very tasty and its the cheepest food we found in whole city (lunch for 2 with drinks cost us 9?). My spouse and I spent 3 nights here. The hotel was further from the city center than we thought. Many guests were there for the spa while we were there to see the city. We did go into the heated pools which was very nice. Not a lot of dining options nearby, but once we figured out public transportation, we got around without any problems. Front desk and concierge a bit brusque but helpful. We prepaid to get a better rate, and they initially put us in a room with 2 twin beds. They moved us to a ... Read more

Since we were new in town (2nd visit) and had no experience of the Public transport, we used taxi a lot. The hotel is located about 10 ?? 15 min by Taxi to the Basilica. Be careful when you Select Taxi Company from downtown to the hotel. Some Taxi Company??s took up to 40 Euro for the trip and others again 6-7 Euro. From the hotel to downtown, no problems.

The hotel is situated close to the Danube. It isn't situated in the center of the city but a metro station is situated at aproximately 6 minutes away and the center of the city is aproximately 4 stations away. We had a room with a beautiful view to the Danube. The room was big, clean, with TV, a small fridge, phone. We stayed during the winter holidays and the pool was perfect to get warm after the cold visits in Budapest. It wasn't expensive at all in comparison with the facilities.

We have stayed at this hotel twice now, and have enjoyed the pleasant rooms (second time with a beautiful river view). The bar area is both good and good value, with live music (piano or zither) and a comfortable patio outside. The hotel is right on the river and is away from the noisy city centre, but it is easy to get around with the excellent Budapest transport.

The Staff is super. The tall guy at the breakfast reception desk is unbeatable with his big smile and helpful way to address guest. There is an ample selection of local food. Our room on th 6th gloor was clean and quiet. The spa offers various treatments of which we could not use any due to lack of time. I had a facial at the Beauty Salon and was very satisfied with the service and the Personnel. We will definitely come back.

Breakfast was included and was varied good quality. Excellent spa and beauty salon; good service and quality. Employes at the front desk total rude, products were missing from breakfast (for example bacon, nutella, cake), uncomfortable bed to sleep, the room was not total clean, weak free wifi. Really dissapointed from a 4 stars hotel!

We stayed here as part of a package for visiting the Hungarian Grand Prix. For this it was perfect and the hotel had good facilities, including an excellent spa and health facilities. If you want to use it for visiting the city itself, you will need to become familiar with public transport or use taxis(which the hotel is happy to arrange for you). We did not find the taxis expensive but we did find that we were charged different amounts for the same journey! The breakfast had plenty of variety. ... Read more

We checked in on 10th of August. When arrived there was only 1 receptionist who talked on the phone and ignored me totally. Only After 5 mins another one appeared and cheked us in. The bed in the room was with many hairs so I asked to change the bed linen while I am in the pool. When I got back, it seemed to be changed but still with hairs. Then I asked to change it again, but my request was ignored! I waited for half an hour and no one came! No one picked up the phone on reception desk for 10 m... Read more

It was my 2nd stay in this Hotel. I arrived early around 11.00 a.m.; my room was ready and I could enjoy the early check-in. Before my arrival I asked for the room facing Buda hills as I like to have sunshine in the afternoon. I got the room on the 4th floor, I think it was the same I had during my 1st stay in this Hotel. Needless to say, I was very happy with my room and appreciate the kindness of the Staff in meeting my request. The rooms with river view face the Pest side, so there is sunshin... Read more

Our room overlooked the river, it had a flat screen tv, was nice and clean with en suite facilities. The staff were friendly. The swimming pool was very good and the spa treatments were excellent and reasonably priced. Breakfast was of a buffet style and there was a good selection of hot and cold food.

On the Danube with transport almost at the door: nice. Information regarding Budapest shops and restaurants could be better. Food options need an update. Live music: nice touch. Some staff very helpful; others not so.

I stay at the Helia Hotel every month for a week. The staff are lovely people, the hotel is very close to the metro station that takes you to the city center, rooms are nice and spacious and have a view of the Danube, the restaurant has very good food and live piano music in the evenings.

Very nice hotel with perfect balcony view on to Danube river. Food was good (dinner) and the spa is nice too. There is also a complementary small breakfast included (2 croossants and a coffee). The email exchange was quick and professional and the taxi booking was also well done. We also got a free upgrade which was awesome (room came with a sauna!). All of the above outweighed the below negative and hence the 4/5. Our only (major) gripe was the service. Out of the 7 or so staff we interacted w... Read more
