Wonderful hotel with great views of the Danube River, the lights on the Chain bridge, and the Parliament building at night. The breakfasts were amazing anything you wanted with great service from the staff. The hotel was spotless.location within walking distance to the Pest side via the Chain bridge .

We booked the Hotel Victoria based on reviews we had read and we were not disappointed. We had a river facing rooms with floor to ceiling windows facing the Parliament building and the Chain Bridge. Hotel was very well located; there was a tram stop right in front and the Metro station was a 5-minute stroll away along the Danube. Numerous good restaurants were in the neighborhood within walking distance. Room size was quite generous by European standards though the bathroom was a bit cramped... Read more

We had a overnight stay in this lovely Hotel with perfect day/night views of the Parliament. The room is spacious with a seating area. There are Restaurants in walking distance with great choices. The tram stop is outside the door allowing access to all the sights. All in all a amazing experience we will be back.

I spend two nights here when I went to Budapest for a conference, which I booked too late to get in the conference hotel. The Victorial Hotel was a wonderful surprise. It's in a good location, easy walking distance to the Chain Bridge with a view of the Danube and the Hungarian Parliament building, but very quiet at night. The rooms are spotlessly clean, the breakfast (included in the price) is good, and the staff are simply outstanding. The price was very reasonable. The wi-fi in the hotel... Read more

We enjoyed our three night stay in this well-run and friendly hotel, on the banks of the Danube with the most splendid of views. Not far from anything - especially for the number 19 and 41 trams which stop outside.

On a whim we chose the Victoria Hotel. I turned out to be a wonderful hotel with friendly staff and is located on the Buda side of the Danube River, right on the water. Yes there are trolley tracks, the street and a pedestrian walk between your window and the river but the night views of lighted bridges and the Parliament Building are spectacular. This was a private home to a wealthy Hungarian, so they did a good job of preserving the original while adding on to another building. It is small... Read more

Very spacious room with views through the large picture windows to Parliament and the Chain Bridge. Spectacular at night. Hotel staff friendly and helpful and a good cooked breakfast that I didn't realise we had paid for. Next door is the Belgian Brasserie Henri which does excellent meals and has a good selection of beers at very reasonable prices. Trams stop just outside and there is a Metro station a few hundred metres away. Just a note for oldies, we were able to use all the public transport ... Read more

This is described as a boutique hotel. I don't know what that means, unless it refers to the fact that evening meals are not to be had there - which doesn't matter at all as there are many restaurants nearby. To the outward eye the the building is entirely modern. Bedrooms have unusually large picture windows which give an exceptional view of everything - the river, the parliament building on the other side, the trams, the joggers, the roller-bladers and so on. Few cable TV channels offer as muc... Read more

Boutique hotel Victoria is an excellent hotel to stay in for bed and breakfast. Me and my husband visited Budapest recently, we stayed at this hotel for 5days and found the staff extremely friendly, the balcony room one of the best we could have ever stayed and the view of the river Danube was splendid. The breakfast, cereals, bread, fresh fruits and cold meats was just right for healthy eaters with hot, fresh omelettes with ham and bacon if preferred. It's a clean, lively hotel just perfect for... I must say, I'll be back in Budapest, and I'll DEFINITELY be staying here. I cannot recommend it enough, a great location for all the major sights of the city, with some great local bars/restaurants right on the doorstep, although away from the hustle and bustle, it's still only a stones throw away The welcome we received from every staff member was perfect, Lovely comfortable rooms overlooking the Danube river, quite a sight, especially at night. Breakfast choice was outstanding and the servic... Read more

We spent only one night after a cruise on the Danube, but it was a very good choice, My God, what a view we had of the Parliement buildings across the river. Very nice room, clean with large window(lucky we were on the front)The staff at the reception recommanded a resto, 10 min walk and interesting by the atmosphere with the live music and a menu including wines , even desert wine, quite good. We recommand this hotel for his situation, 10 min walk from the acces to the castle .

Had a three night stay here and found the hotel good but nothing particularly special apart from the view. The view of the parliament building at night was stunning and with the massive windows it was lovely to fall asleep to! The rooms themselves are spacious, clean and comfortable and has coffee/tea facilities. The bathroom was on the small side but fine. Location is fantastic to see all the sights. Breakfast was no more than average, but it was included at least. The free 'afternoon tea' can ... Read more

We stayed for 2 nights in this little treasure and had a room on the 7th floor with an awesome view of the Chain bridge, Danube River and Parliament. Breakfast included eggs to order with bacon or sausage (which is not common) and the usual English breads, cereals, meats and cheeses. The hotel bar (very small) has a happy hour and they also offer a tea time if you're interested. There are several ranking restaurants and pubs nearby and the tourist part of Budapest is less than a 20 min walk. ... Read more

Stayed here for 4 days recently. Great location away from the hectic city centre but still just a nice 10/15 minute walk across the bridge. Staff extremely helpful even late at night or very early morning. Good continental style breakfast and lounge area. Everywhere clean and tidy with modern facilities. The surrounding area is very pleasant with quite a few Belgian bars (the one next door has a great selection of beers) Plan on visiting Budapest again in the winter and I'd gladly book here agai... We reserved a double room in a quiet location and received a room on the 4th floor. The room was very tastefully decorated with floor to ceiling windows to make the most of the stunning views over the Danube and the Parliament. The front desk was extremely helpful in providing directions to various parts of the city. The staff working in the breakfast room could not have been more hospitable!! The hotel is well served by public transport. All in all our biggest regret was that we only stayed for... Read more

If you give importance to nice views from the window of your room, this is the hotel! We have stayed at the eighth floor, with all the Danube live scenario at our disposal. Frankly speaking, we didn't have the will to go out! It has nice antique historic quarters to a afternoon tea, too (free). Good breakfast. People educated. Location perfect. Clean and silent rooms.

We stayed for 4 nights at this hotel in March 2016 & had a lovely comfortable stay. The reception is modern & welcoming & the room was beautifully decorated with wonderful views of the Parliament building over on the Pest side of the river. The inclusive breakfast buffet was served in a light, bright room & the staff were lovely, offering to cook eggs if required. We returned to Budapest 4 months later & were disappointed to find no rooms available when booking our stay. Would highly recommend ... Read more

The Hotel Victoria advertises rooms at two rates: the main hotel, which it calls "four star," and the "annex," which it calls three-star. I chose a room at the cheaper rate -- how bad could it be, right? The "annex" is a dilapidated tenement right behind the main hotel. To be fair, the room itself was nice (except for smelling of stale cigarette smoke). The building that this room is in is disgusting. Look at the photo I took of the entranceway -- you wouldn't believe it otherwise. The lig... Read more

This hotel is on the castle side of the Danube with fabulous views across the river. Our room was wonderful with huge windows overlooking the Pest side and located below the fascinating castle. Excellent location. Great value. Wonderful breakfast (afternoon tea - not so much). Happy hour every afternoon. A real plus is the helpful and charming staff. I highly recommend this terrific little hotel!

We loved the Boutique Hotel Victoria in Budapest. First of all, we enjoyed staying on the Buda side of the river. Not only was the hotel located on the rampart street facing the river, providing great views, but there were great restaurants right down the street. The neighborhood was a nice contrast to busier and more touristy Pest where we did most of our sightseeing. The hotel itself met all expectations. The common areas and our room were very nice. We had a picture window view of the r... Read more

We stayed here for a couple of nights before a river cruise. The hotel is quite small but it is the very modern style we like and it was very comfortable. The weather was very hot whilst we were there and the air con struggled to keep the room cool, we did ask the staff about it but nothing changed. Breakfast was adequate but it was pretty limited. We asked for a taxi when we were leaving but despite four of us all fitting into one taxi when we arrived, they insisted that we should have t... Read more

I had previously stayed in one of the "big hotels" on the Pest side and we chose this hotel because of the excellent river views of the Chain Bridge and the Parliament building - the 2 top sights in Budapest, especially at night. We opted for the 4* room and, although I didn't see the 3* option I would definitely recommend paying that little extra. Our room was modern, clean and met our needs perfectly for a short city break. Mini bar was well stocked and, by UK standards, sensibly priced. Th... Read more

The hotel is perfectly located in Buda; the staff is very kind and helpful, comfortable rooms, clean and with a great view of the Danube river. Close to one of the main streets in town, full of restaurants, bars and shops. Also a few metres away from the Chain Bridge. Beautiful sights from the front room both during the day and night. Would definitely recommend it!

Gorgeous hotel right on the river and a 5 minute walk to the bridge, views from the room are stunning. Friendly staff, lovely if small bar area with an additional replacing room at the back of reception where you can help yourself to tea and coffee. Breakfast was fab, and they serve hot as well as a very good buffet. Loved it!
