Rooms are clean, location is convenient and about a 5-8 minute walk to the nearest MTR station. The downfall would be their breakfast, some holiday inn express provide a buffet spread whereas they have fixed set menus which do not have a lot of variety and it is a bit of a waste when you don't really want to eat everything in that set.

Checking in and out were a breeze, the location is pretty central with nearby mtr, buses, mini buses and taxis for grabs. It is also near to some famous night markets such as ladies and temple streets. Staffs are fine, eager to help, very fuss free hotel with self service laundry which token can be exchanged at the lobby. While waiting you might like to try out the gym equipments which are on the same floor. Breakfast was adequate with 6different varieties.

I went there during a business trip. I planed to stay only one night but I got some visa issues and had to stay the whole week (which was pretty convenient). The location of the hotel is one of the best point, it's near the markets (day and night) and you can find a lot of restaurant around. The value for money was pretty good according the service and the room. The staff was kind and could speak fluent English. This is my return back to IHG group since long time I was using other brand now returning back to IHG. Been in to Hong Kong several time but this is the first time I am staying on this area and it is wonderful. Mongkok Holiday Inn Express is middle of the city where all the basic needs are located. It is easy to access to MRT, Airport Express and easy to get PT. Good room, hotel was very clean and neat. worth money except the breakfast. Breakfast is menu base and limited choice. Since I wa... The room is clean. The bed was comfortable. The location is quite good. Very near to MTR station and Nathan Road. Moreover, it was very near to my meeting venue with customer. The breakfast is dull and not very suitable for Muslims who don't take pork, because all their set breakfast items contained pork except Set C. Good value for money.

So I stayed here for one night and I highly recommend this HI Express in Mong Kok. Not sure when it was built but the hotel looks quite new. Nice size rooms, friendly staff and a decent location (less than 5 min to Nathan Road) at a very good price.

The Holiday Inn Express is a very neat & clean hotel. Rooms & beds are very comfortable. The staff is very courteous & helping. We always consulted them while going out and they took out map & explained the MTR route. They have different options / set menu for breakfast, very basic. But it is little difficult for vegetarian Indians. I will suggest them to add more fruits & healthy breakfast options. The shower is too good with a very good water pressure. Hotel staff is quite helpful and friendly. Breakfast set menus are good so you can try different menu everyday of your stay. Within walking distance from culinary spots, shopping arcade and MTR station. Recommended place for family stay.

The hotel is situated at the far end of the busy mongkok area, one need to walk about 10 minutes from hotel to either mongkok or yue ma ti MRT stations at Nathan road. The hotel is pretty new about a year old, by HK standard the rooms are big compare to hotel of the same class. Facilities in the room are new. There are no dining facilities at the hotel. They only serve set breakfast in the morning at the function rooms on 5th floor.

This time around, I am supposed to have some meetings near Mongkok and decided to stay here for two days. Having stayed at other Holiday Inn hotels before, I decided to try this. Location: Somewhere in between Yaumatei and Mongkok, this hotel is located a bit off-grid from the busy streets of Mongkok. Hence, noise levels are lower and the crowd is significantly less. A walk of 10 minutes will bring you to the crowded Mongkok. Not bad as far as location is concerned. Room: A tad small but comfo... Read more

Good clean hotel, speedy check in and out. Rooms very much the same as all other Holiday Inn. Check out early morning no problem as taxis are a plenty. Not in the most tourist of spots but a short walk gets you to night markets. As anywhere in Hong Kong food can be found within a few meters of the hotel.

Great hotel in an area that is both walkable and close to public transportation. The hotel is very sleek, but the rates are much more affordable than you'd expect. The rooms are very comfortable and perfect for travelers that are staying for a short period of time. The front desk was very helpful and provided us with both a plug adapter and the use of their printer. The room rate also included wa complimentary breakfast which was surprisingly delicious and hearty.

I was pleasantly surprised when we walked into the hotel lobby and then later the room because it was exceedingly modern, clean, and bright. I had worried a little bit when the taxi dropped us off because late at night it didn't look like a good neighborhood, but upon exploring a few blocks away in the morning we found a lovely park, Cherry Street Park, just across the street where locals were doing their morning exercises. I previously stayed at HIE Soko in Summer 2014. On a recent two-night trip, I thought I'd try a different part of HK. HIE Mongkok fit the bill (and a lower rate than Soko). Glad I got to see a different side of HK up close and personal. Loved the location less than 10 min. from Yau Ma Tei station and Nathan Road. If I can call it a "con", the hotel is tucked away in a let's say an older part of HK, with small streets, not well-lit, not much around, etc. Hotel itself appears fairly new. Ro... Read more

Just got back from a 5 nights stay at Holiday Inn Express MongKok. It is by far one of the best hotels in Hong Kong. Don't be deceived by the slightly run down conditions of the neighboring blocks! It is a bare 8 minutes walk from Yau Ma Tei MTR station. Stationed very strategically from Ladies Street and MongKok MTR as well. We had a pleasant 4 nights stay in this hotel. The rooms are quite spacious for HK standard and furnishing are new (heard this hotel is only about a year old). Staff are generally friendly and helpful with our queries. They serve set menu breakfast and they actually taste quite good. Stayed here for a week and it was great. Room was very spacious for Hong Kong standards, wifi was great. Breakfast was from a menu, was alright for being included but got a bit boring for a week. The hotel is located close to the MTR which made it handy to get around. Close to markets and lots of shops, plenty of good places to eat. The only downside is that the elevator plays the same song, after the 3rd day I went to sleep with the song in my head!

In an expensive city like Hong Kong, I wanted somewhere fairly central but also relatively reasonable in cost. This hotel is located in Kowloon, which I prefer, and is a bit north from the harbor but still pretty central. Mong Kok is clearly changing for the better. I came with my partner on business and am frankly shocked by the lack of facilities. 1. Despite inferring there were places to meet business contacts there is no lounge, no business centre, just a meeting room at $330 per hour with a minimum duration of 2 hours!! 2. The rooms do not have irons ir ironing boards. If you want to iron you have to do so on the roof in public! 3. The breakfast room is too small for the size of hotel. Literally crammed in.
