I travel to Hong Kong for business a few times a year and in recent years always stay at Harbour Plaza Metropolis. It is in a good location for Tsim Sha Tsui restaurants and if you need to travel to Shenzhen it's ideal - good size rooms, good food and a reasonable price for the overall experience

I stayed here for a night because I had to leave to China via Hung Hom station. If you are using Hung Hom station, it's a perfect choice. I had a kitchen and a table for four for some reason. I didn't get to use it but if you plan for a long stay, it would be your choice.

I have stayed at many hotels in the last few month but this one fails against even some mainland 3 star hotels. First, they don't seem to give a flick about your comments. Most high end hotels have manager replies on negative posts but not this one. Second, once you get there you are Shanghai'd into paying for wifi which is not free. Then guess what? You don't have that massive brit power adapter? Haha sucker! Then you have to pay for that too. No they do not provide one in the desk! Wh... Read more

We enjoyed our two night stay here. We booked a Superior Club Room. The staff on the club floor are excellent and the service we got from them was first class. The views of the harbour from the club lounge were amazing. Breakfast was excellent as were the cocktail drinks and snacks in the evening. The room was small but comfortable and functional. It served our needs for our weekend stay and the floor was really quiet too. We got two excellent nights sleep. The bathroom was good with a full tub... Read more

This was the second time we have stayed here. This time for 10 days and apart from the room size there is nothing adverse to say about this Hotel. Our breakfast experience was excellent and service, in the Harbour Club on Level 20, was great. The staff recognised us and addressed us by name and made us feel very welcome. All domestic staff were very friendly and our room always well serviced.

If you want to walk from your hotel don't pick this one. We were advised to stay here by our travel agent as it was only for one night but I would not recommend this hotel if you want to be in the thick of things as you have to take a shuttle bus, provided free of charge and frequent but the last one from town is just after 11pm. We were in the club class but our room was small and smelt a bit damp. The bed however was very comfy and a good bathroom. We went to have 'afternoon tea' shown on ... Read more

However bed was comfortable. Free WIFI was there. No bath tub but only shower. Cleanliness was good and view from the room was also fine. However you don't see the harbor from these rooms. Visited the place for holiday holidays. Conveniently located with the city - making access to other parts especially by MTR very much convenient. Very close to Hunghom station - and adjacent mall with Indian restaurant- gives it a locational advantage. Rooms tough are relatively compact as the case within Hong Kong itself. But service standards are relatively decent. Indian breakfast too was sort of ok and not that bad.

For luxury, there is a fitness parlour, a swimming pool and a lounge serving breakfasts, coffee/tea and evening snacks for the business guests. The stay overall was good, rooms are spacious and quiet, could be cleaner though. The location is inconvenient, especially if you have a stroller. That's because it's on a higher level than the street and if elevators are out of service you either lift up the stroller or just get a taxi, which wouldn't be necessary for tsim sha shui for example. Also not many coffee shops or restaurants around, except for those in the nearby mall, but the choice isn't that wide. Next time we'll choose a more con... Read more
