This hotel is awesome. Cafe Grey is the best bar and restaurant in town and the views are incredible. And very personalised service. They even offered to order something on a Chinese site for delivery since I didn't have time to get to the market. My only disappointment was arriving after George Clooney had checked out!

Where to start? Everything about this hotel is first rate- the rooms are modern, very comfortable and well wired, including with surround sound, the views are incredible, the food at Cafe Gray is very good- breakfast there on the 49th floor is an experience in itself and dinner is even better, the location in Central is close to everything in HK. This trip to the Upper House was my third in the past 12 months. It is perhaps one of my favorite places to stay anywhere. It is an oasis of peace, calm, and tranquility. The rooms are stunning, the food incredible, and the service is outstanding. Sometimes I question if the reviews on TA are in fact real - or written by the hotel staff. This one is genuine. I can't begin to say enough nice things about this special special place.

My husband and I stayed at Upper House twice in June 2016. Without a doubt this is one of the best hotels we have stayed in. The decor, ambience, amenities and staff make this a standout. Stay there if you don't like you can disagree. Super location highly trained staff, great bar. Stayed many times and view does not change. It is a place that oozes cool without trying makes you feel like you are at home and the staff mean it. I benchmark all hotels on this one and travel a lot

Located at Pacific Place, directly above the JW Marriot (with an understated entrance at ground level), The Upper House has easy access into the shopping plaza (with a short uncovered walk, which might be inconvenient in a Hong Kong downpour...) and is a 5 minute walk to the Admiralty MTR station, for easy access to anywhere on the island or Kowloon. A taxi from Hong Kong Station will take around 10-15 minutes and cost HKD30. The hotel is now 7 years old but, due to the fantastic design, the roo... Read more

We had the privilege to stay at the Upper House for 2 nights. From the moment we stepped out of the car we were warmly greeted as if visiting friends. Efficient check in,just straight up to our suite, where Shane explained all the features helpful and patient. The suite and view we're breathtaking, all the details the selection of coffee table books, the art and design, the practical workspace for me husband. The serene luxurious bathroom with everything and more you need. The special gifts for us to... Read more

This hotel is a very special place. Staff are impressive and always seem happy to see you. Happy staff, happy guests is my experience. No detail was overlooked. Renae greeted us at our car on arrival and in room check-in meant we are off to a good start. Our Harbour view room was just gorgeous, with views across to Kowloon from the bedroom and bathroom. Bathrooms are huge and the room features a dressing area and two sinks as well. What makes this special is the attention to detail of the... Read more

This centrally-located hotel is one of the slickest and most stylish hotels in Hong Kong. The minimalist design of Andre Fu perfectly transports you to another restful dimension as you enter the property through the dynamic cave-like entrance and, inside, the friendly staff just know how to do their jobs perfectly. The in-room audio-visual setup was easy to connect to and blasted my tunes throughout the room, and the views are stunning to say the least. It is no wonder celebrities and princes of... Read more

The Upper House came highly recommended and we are certainly not disappointed to have booked our 2 night HK stay here. We had the most stunning room on the 48th floor with a corner window view of all HK. The staff are very friendly and were always a step ahead to make sure we had what we needed. The 49th floor bar & restaurant has breathtaking views and breakfast up there is magical. We can but recommend The Upper House and for shopping, it is ideally located too in the heart of Central.

The Upper House Hong Kong is sophisticated, beautifully designed hotel in a modern and timeless style. The staff from arrival to departure are bright, welcoming and amazingly helpful. Excellent rooms, sharp restaurant with magnificent views and a thoughtful and well constructed wine program. One of my very favourite hotels in the world

Hong Kong has its fair share of amazing places to stay, but the Upper House exceeds them all. The moment I arrived until I sadly had to leave, service was warm, hospitable and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble and all executed with efficiency, precision and style. Thank you Christina Snaith, and the entire Upper House team for your time, energy and local knowledge. I cannot wait to return to the Upper House!!!

Brilliant hotel on the upper 38-49 floors of a modern building overlooking Hong Kong bay. Small enough to enjoy personal service, where the staff know you from the time you check in, and are very friendly and helpful. Spectacular views and good room layout. This is a hotel that attracts a young and sometime star studded group who also enjoy the Café Grey on the top floor. The hotel is part of a complex that includes 3 other hotels and a medium sized (for Hong Kong) shopping centre. A few mino... Read more

We have stayed at Upper House several times and have not been disappointed each time. 700 sq room and great big bathroom, complimentary drinks and snacks in the room is certainly a nice touch. The design and decor is simple modern. Very comfortable room. The only thing I would prefer if there was more privacy for the lift access to the floors for the rooms - guests for the restaurant etc. can access all the room floors which I find not secure. It might be something that Upper House may want... Read more

The Upper House has become my hotel of choice in Hong Kong - it is one of those rare gems where everything comes together so nicely - the super friendly and accommodating team!, the rooms, the view, the beautiful and well thought out Andre Fu design, the uniqueness of the hotel, the location, the bar/dining room....

The Upper House was wonderful from the very first moment we arrived at Hong Kong Airport the staff were extremely efficient and courteous. The Room was a Studio 70 which had a calming, relaxing vibe. The breakfast was vast and delicious and the staff member serving us was helpful with suggestions on sightseeing and other valuable tips. I would recommend the Upper House for your visit to Hong Kong.

The staff make the hotel. Don't get me wrong the rooms are enormous and Cafe Grey (49th floor) has amazing food for both breakfast and dinner - but the courteous staff staff put this hotel to the top of the list. Rooms: clean, well appointed and a thoroughly pleasant experience. Huge bathroom. You don't actually feel like you are in a hotel. Drinks and Dinner: Cafe Grey has amazing views for both drinks and/or a meal. There is no pool which was not a problem for me. The gym is small but perfect... Read more

I am permanently traveling between Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong and very familiar with Hong Kong. I stayed at the upper house over the week-end. The check-in was very smooth and quick (Ipad process) and i received in advance all informations and tips from their department called "guest experience'. It was tailor-made to my profile, very useful. Room was perfect, from sleeping quality to complementary "maxi" bar and very fast wifi. I notice they sell Upper house products online which can be a g... Read more

When you travel somewhere in the area of 200 days each year away from home it is a challenge to declare something to be your favorite. You might have a favorite hotel or restaurant in a particular city but that is merely a comparison amongst other destinations in that city. I have lived this for more than two decades and I certainly have my favorites in some cities. This would be the first time that I have actually declared a favorite hotel in the world. I am a dual resident of Hong Kong an... Read more

Well appointed, comfortable and unique accommodations. We stayed at "The Upper Suite" which is a tri-corner suite with panoramic views of the City from the bathroom, bedroom and living/dining area. The maxi (vs. mini) bar was a pleasant surprise! Exquisite décor throughout the hotel. The staff is relaxed and friendly yet very professional and knowledgeable. Location of the hotel is very convenient with multiple restaurants and shops around. The Guest Experience team does a magnificent job when ... Read more

Having lived in Hong Kong and spent countless years and enjoyed many hotel experiences it was so lovely to return after a couple of years absence. Staying at The Upper House again simply reminded me that this is one of the worlds finest hotel experiences. Its hard to define The Upper House as a hotel as it truly gives you the feeling your at 'home'. The service, care and constant level of attention from the entire team is quite spectacular. There are few hotels I've stayed in with the attention to detail and excellent service of Upper House. The rooms are extremely spacious, even more so by Hong Kong standards, the views are spectacular, the design the elegant, and the food is excellent. You can also walk to just about anything in Central or Wan Chai with ease. I'll be back!

I haven't actually stayed in this hotel but have heard very good things so I guess I have to take their word for it. I've been to the restaurant quite a few times and if I could give this place 6 stars I would! Nothing is too much trouble, when I'm hot; they turn up the air-con immediately, when it gets too sunny they pull the blinds down, they do believe the paying customer is king over here, the service is amazing. One time; the staff went to talk to the chef three times just to make sure t... Read more

This is a great hotel - probably one of the best I know, but somehow it's a bit off the boil: - Was checked in by a brand new trainee - took 5 times as long as the experienced staff I'm used to. Training is good, but not what I pay for. - Room needed maintenance. Lots of knocks and paint damage - not the faultless finishes I have loved on previous visits. - Where is the iPad? Now room service is a seriously complicated exercise on the TV - followed up by a phone call - so if the iPad is o... Read more
