My stay at this hotel was good. Their staff were warm, efficient and can communicate well in English. This hotel is in an isolated residential area, so we needed to take a taxi to head on to the shopping district. Had I known this I would've booked somewhere nearer the busier areas. But overall, the hotel wasn't disappointing. The room size was okay for Hongkong standards, although their sheets and carpets aren't the cleanest. I kept sneezing from the dust, but still slept sound coz of the coz... Read more

My family and I (husband plus two young boys) were visiting HK relatives over Chinese New Year and chose this hotel primarily due to its location. My review can be summarised into 3 main points: 1) Responsive service 2) Ageing facilities 3) Good restaurant and location 1) Responsive service Not surprisingly during this period, the hotel was at full capacity with mainland tourists, but things were manageable. The doormen were quick on their feet and very helpful in getting us taxis. The housek... Read more

The hotel is great from inside but the rooms are smalls as you can always expect small rooms in HK but the location is not ideal for people who want to stay near by metro areas.Reception staff were good they gave adequate information. Pros: Breakfast available and rooms were cleaned everyday Cons: Bad location , no nearness to MTR metro stations.

The Emperor Hotel at Happy Valley HK is clean and they serve regular breakfast..regular because it's regularly the same for the 3 days we stayed there: sausages, scrambled eggs, congee, noodles, steamed siopao, veggies and bread. You have to bring your own toiletries or you will be asking regularly from housekeeping. The staff at the Lobby and at the Reception is a mix of the Then and Now generation..I enjoyed dealing with young people at the Reception they are the Kids next door type...approach... Read more

We stayed in Emperor Valley as part of the package we bought in metrodeal. The room space is very small probably because of the limited/expensive space in hong kong island. The restaurants and stores nearby are also pricey due high cost of rent. The place is a little old but they managed to maintain it clean and comfortable. Housekeeping service is provided daily and water and bathroom supplies are also replenished daily. Breakfast is okay but with limited choices- bread, egg, sausage, siopao,co... Read more

Emperor hotel was fine, hongkong style. Upkeep of the hotel room we were in was good. Like the decors, emperor themed, reminds you of emperor era. Breakfast would be better if we have more food items to choose from. Lobby needs improvement. Location was fine with us,quiet., hospital nearby, five minute walk and its the tram station. Could get food at 7-11 if your in a budget.

The Emperor Happy Valley is an old hotel - built in the early 70's. It is not expensive and you can get good deals online. I booked my room through Agoda, then was upgraded to a bigger room. The secret to this hotel is you need to know what you want. If you want close to the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong - the party area of Lan Kwai Fong and Soho, shopping in Tsim Sha Tsui or days out at Disney - look somewhere else. But if you want a cheaper option in a really great, local neighborhood...... Read more

The hotel is conveniently located near the hospital which is what we needed. The rooms are small but suitable for anyone who will mainly be sightseeing or visiting friends and relatives. The air con is excellent and room service changes any towels and bedding everyday. The staff are really friendly and happy to help. We arrived at 10am when check in is at 2pm but they were happy to accomodate us as soon as possible by having a room ready for 11am. They were also happy to accomodate us for late... Read more

Booked into The Emperor Hotel in Happy Valley Hong Kong as our Son lives next door. Our first room was very good for 4 nights but when we came back for another 3 nights the room was very shabby, dirty bed valance which I asked to be changed. Broken tiles in the bathroom & generally in need of redecorating. The breakfast was good & the cleanliness in the room were we ate was very good. The staff apologised & said the floor we were on was next in line for redecorating. So I am going back in Novemb... Read more

It's our favourite restaurant for family gathering on Sunday. A bit pricy but good quality of food and never disappointed. We loved the Szechuen fish meat & spicy chicken here. Restaurant is not big so make sure to book your table in advance.

Certainly not a bad deal price-wise, and the accommodations are great. You're steps away from the tram line, which can get you in and out of downtown. There's not much in Happy Valley, but the staff here is always helpful and greets you with a smile.

The hotel is located at Wang Tak Street in Hong Kong you would have a street view of the city the place is good for family bonding and for people who would like to travel alone in Hong Kong it is also near the market We never had problems with the service and the only concern is language barrier, although the hotel crew speaks English it's not that well

I went and checked in here and without realizing the price got twice higher when i booked it. It views the price at about 200 USD for 3 nights so i just went and purchased it. And what i realized at the end it was about 500 USD. I dont know if this was my mistake or the travel agent mistake or the hotel's mistake. At the pic the rooms seems nice but it turned out to be the worst room ive been on this trip. The receptionist was okay in fact, they're nice. But the housekeeper is so pushy and disr... Read more

As my church is near to this hotel, we sometimes go to this place for lunch after service, as it seems that their Chinese restaurant on the 1/F is always fully booked. Their coffee shop is small, but you can choose either a-la-carte menu, or set menu. Some of us picked the Malay beef, which was not really that spicy. Their pork chop rice was huge, and the Yang zhou fried rice was of medium sized too. One friend who took the cream of mushroom soup said that it was very creamy. Their spagh... Read more
