Spent 3 days here on Hong Kong island after a cruise. Although not centrally located it had a free shuttle to most places you want to visit. Rooms were good but the bed was not as soft as we had over the previous few weeks. Check in / out was very good and there are good perks available (free SIM and a half day tour as well as free calls to some countries ). The buffet breakfast (included for us) had a wide range of options and the evening meals were reasonably priced. We were too busy to tr... Read more

Good positioning, not too large rooms, but in Hong Kong that's understandable. Moderate price, quite comfortable rooms, close to Metro station. If I would return to HK, I would never have choosen another hotel because it's m e s m e r i s i n g v i e w over the Bay!

my stay in Hong Kong never have been better, superficially the bed is comfortable, there's a nice bathtub, fragrant body soap, nice view and a nice table at the corner for me to place my laptop to type this. The check in process has also been smooth and the staff here are friendly and helpful. Definitely willing to recommend to any friends who are coming to HK. Oh ya, its also strategically located near Sai Ying Pun MTR station, tram station and bus station are also just nearby. Thumbs up. :)

If you're looking for a good quality hotel, with comfortable rooms, efficient staff and a harbour view (if you request it and if a room is available), all at a reasonable price, you really can't do better than the Island Pacific Hotel. It's located just 10 minutes from Central by tram, or you can walk there in 20 minutes. The Sun Yat Sen memorial garden is just a few minutes walk away. This is very definitely my hotel of choice for future visits to Hong Kong and I have no hesitation in recomm... Read more

I recently spent 2 weeks at the Island Pacific Hotel for a business trip to Hong Kong. Because the rates were so reasonable I got a small upgrade to a harbor view room and the view was lovely. The location was convenient to an MTR (subway) stop and the double decker trams. It was also in a good location for catching a taxi. There were numerous restaurants and shops nearby. The room was a reasonable size for Hong Kong and was quite clean. They provided shampoo/body soap and conditioner. The con... Read more

Situated in Hong Kong island west side, not too distant from HKU and within walking distance to an MRT station. Got 22F room with view towards harbor(?) and it was nice to look out from floor to ceiling glass windows. Little more costly than nearby Best Western but definitely shows why it's got better ratings.

The Island Pacific is not a top international hotel, and it offers no special super luxury features, however I'm giving it five out of five for these reasons:- 1) the staff as usual make or break a hotel, and they were friendly and helpful in all cases. I had intermittent WiFi problems (probably because of my phone). The staff helped and, amazingly, followed-up day after day with technical support. Follow-up is the crowning glory of good service and I was surprised and delighted. 2) the swimming... Read more

I stayed at Island Pacific for a week on a business trip. It is not a luxury hotel to write home about; however it is a very reasonable option with good value for its price. Professional and helpful staff The location is outside of the main touristic areas. Conveniently connected to the airport, with good transport links elsewhere. Do not eat in the hotel â?? it is expensive and the quality/taste of food is not great. Room was comfortable, clean and quite. I had a room with a nice view (Tip... Read more

The staff who man the noodle and egg station on the 29th and 30th June the guy with glasses he only smile with Westerners but rude with Mandarin speakers and sometime Asians too. Of the many hotels available in this district of HK island, the Island Pacific Hotel is best and uniquely located while offering many options and choices for transportation and local Chinese dining. Neat hotel, rooms tiny, beds very comfortable. Breakfast good but dinner overpriced and lack lustre. Location not great, should have stayed closer to Central. You hear about getting about easily on rail which is very true, but the heat is so unbearable that the closer you are to shopping and nightlife/restaurants the better. Staff were polite and very efficient and professional.

The location of this hotel was good enough, tram station and metro station were just a short distance. For the metro station, it's a bit tricky, a very short distance to the the entrance, but still need more 5-8 mins to take the metro. This hotel affords great views of Hong Kong harbour. It's great to sit by the window watching the flotilla on the harbour. Breakfast has reasonable choices at an ok price. Buses, trams, trains within easy walking distance. Surprised by the size of the pool here, loved early morning swims when the pool was empty. Nice and clean an older hotel which could do with a makeover but overall it still manages to satisfy.

We stayed in a Deluxe Full Harbour View room, which is highly recommended. The room size is small, but the view over the Harbour to Kowloon and the ICC is lovely. Trams, Trains and Busses are in easy walking distance. Swimming pool is excellent - a Bar would be a good addition. Breakfast had a reasonable choice of food styles. There is a good Bar on the first floor with a relaxing vibe.

At the price point (approx 700-1100 HK$ at the time I write this), you get a hotel that is 5 minutes from the city centre, offers full sea view, and possibly the nicest hotel staff in Hong Kong. It is about a 5 min walk from the Sai Yin Pun station. However, our room was not the new rooms shown in their picture. The room was dated - felt like the 90s. There was a piece of pubic hair on the toilet seat...The walls were a bit dirty and old. The lobby looked nice though.
