Nice hotel, The price is suitable with what you get. The view from the window is the North HK pier which is very nice. The room is small but as expected because most hotel in HK have small room. The room is clean and the service is very good. Free wifi also make my trip enjoyable. Maybe they can add more channels on the TV, more English channels please. Cause there are many tourist actually stay there. I recommend this hotel, if you are looking for budget hotel to stay in HK

Catch 11A bus from airport for h.k. $40 this lets you out across the road from the Ibis at the end of the line, if you walk out of the entrance of the hotel turn right and down the alley is a same day laundry, turn left from the entrance of the hotel and you'll find the Metro, cross the street at the lights and 3 doors up is a Bakery which we found better than having the expensive and not very nice breakf... If you can get a good deal with this hotel it is a bargain given how close it is to the mtr. Rooms are a good size for Hong Kong but the bathrooms are tiny. Air con in rooms doesn't seem to work very well as it only has on or off, the temperature doesn't seem to be able to be changed. Bed was ok not overally comfortable. Staff were friendly at the hotel.

For the budget conscious this is a good hotel in close proximity to trains, buses & trams, making it easy to get around. Bus 11A goes from the airport to the nearby new North Point Bus station and is a lot cheaper than the airport train. Rooms are not large, but clean, and a harbour view was a nice bonus for the economical price. The buffet breakfast selection was limited but adequate, the dinner menu was ok and meals came with complimentary soup and cold drink. Staff were helpful.

Pros: just 30 seconds from north point mrt station. A11 airport bus terminal is 1 mins away. 2 mins from north point ferry station. Great value(Hotel of HK is usually expensive). Water pressure was fine even though it was around level 20. Clean(no cockroaches or other things), safety, ... Cons: Not close to many tourist attractions(but you can go with mrt or bus) Room was too small.

Very close to the subway and bus terminal. We took the bus (A12) from the airport and A11 to the airport. We enjoyed the ride ( better than taking the cab). We also took the bus to go to the other side (Kowloon). In all, We would say that it is coveniently located. For the room, we got upgraded to one with harbour view. It is awasome to wake up with the view of the harbour. It seems that this view may not exist in the future because construction of a building is underway to replace the old bus ... Read more

Just returned from my second stay in 4 years at the Ibis North Point. I really can't imagine staying anywhere else if I ever return to Hong Kong. Yes, the rooms are small - fine for just one person. The compact nature of the room is great - see the picture of the coffee/tea making drawer next to the refrigerator. I was able to keep yogurt and other items in the room for quick snacks, even though there are plenty of 7-Elevens, Wellcome food stores and restaurants in the area. On this visit I... Read more

The Ibis was clean but the rooms could be a little noisy (depending on your neighbours). We called this the dancing room as it was so small we had to shuffle past each other. The beds are 6ft by 2.5ft so if you want to get some sleep then it's best to order a twin configuration so you're not bumping into each other. We were on the 19th floor which had a magnificent view of the harbour, however I expect the view will soon be blocked by the new Northpoint shopping centre that is under construction... Read more

There is an airport flyer bus just around the corner (much cheaper compared to airport express-Hong Kong stop) You can also take a ferry boat to East Tsim Shia Tsui near the Hong Hum area. There are a number of reasonable eateries around the hotel. If you want to go to big time shopping, Causaway Bay is nearby.

Less than a block from North Point Station, fantastic views of Victoria Harbor, and a substantial breakfast make this an excellent choice for the budget-conscious visitor to Hong Kong. We had a queen bed in a room with a harbor view. The room and bathroom are both quite small, but very clean and quiet and perfectly adequate for people who plan to be out all day.

Location is great just out of the subway stop, but it's just generally pretty dingy - our bathroom in particular was very suspect. Service was slow despite signs saying that they guaranteed room request in a certain amount of time. The elevator situation was also a bit ridiculous - we had to wait often for several elevators since there were only 2 and they were slow and small. Its location right at North Point MTR station is a plus. However, the train station is not friendly for those with heavy luggage?the last two flight of stairs demand you to climb. There's no escalator.

The staffs are friendly. Fast check-in & check-out. Very close to North Point MTR station. Good breakfast. Room is very small (however, I can understand as it is a budget hotel). Great sea view. Only 2 small elevators, so need to wait a bit to use it. Overall, satisfied.

Stayed here for 8 days in early September 2016. Room was small but was cozy and comfortable even though the toilet was really small. Hotel was located near the ferry centre and next to MTR so it was very convenient. However, the MTR exit beside the hotel did not have escalator or lift so we had to carry our luggage up the stairs. There were many restaurants and there's a small shopping mall with food court nearby so its easy to get food around the area. The staff were also very accommodating so ... Read more

I didn't experience any of the negative things that have been posted recently in reviews. The room was what I expected from the Ibis brand, abiet significantly smaller than I was used to from European Ibis hotels. I was travelling on my own and I think that if I had been with a partner the room would have been cramped, but then Hong Kong is one of the most densely populated places on earth so I am sure more space would equate to more cost. the room was clean and serviced satisfactorily. the b... Its location might be far from the city centre but it's close to Northpoint underground station thus convenient to commute elsewhere. The price is cheaper and the room size is bigger than hotels in town. The hotel is not big but has all facilities we need.

I read carefully all of the reviews of this hotel before booking and I am so glad that I dismissed any negative comments. This place was the perfect place for me. Location: NorthPoint is east on the subway line and the Ibis is just steps away from the entrance. One can get to Central in about 25 minutes and going the opposite direction you can get to a beautiful beach in less than an hour. Across the street is the North Point Ferry to Kowloon City. Nearby to the metro station of North Point, nearby to lots of local restaurant and a bus terminal/ferry terminal in just opposite. Can be say that it's very sufficient if you are just looking for a roof. The surrounding environment is safe. Room space is spacious if you are not more than two and you are not to have your fun in the room, get the sea view room would make you feel better. The only thing I can criticize, is the breakfast is repeated.

The first night here we had a "city view" room. But the outlook is so depressive that you just have to keep the curtains closed, even during the day. An upgrade to harbour view really makes a very big difference. The rooms are small but very clean and have all you need, including an inroom safe. We found the food in the restaurant quite good and the diner menu is a good deal. From nortpoint its easy to take a bus to places like Stanley (a beautifull ride if you sit upstairs) or the airport etc. ... Read more

This has to be one of the underated hotels in Hong Kong. The front door is 50 steps from the subway entrance so it is easy to get to and get around. For the time being the property has views of the harbour (but development will I fear put an end to this). Rooms aren't huge, but are comfortable and not too claustrophobic. Breakfast was good at the hotel. There are heaps of eating options close by, and within a couple of MTR stops there are enough places to eat forever. Checkin was easy and ... Read more

Located around 30m from North Point MTR, the location could not be much better for getting around Hong Kong. Additionally, Kings Road is only 50m away - and here you can catch a tram for a nice tour down to Causeway Bay and Central. The rooms are not the biggest, but clean and able to accommodate two people with luggage for a week's stay. All things considered, the hotel is very practical and offers good value for money.

Very conveniently located: mintues to North Point metro station exit A1 and airport bus A11. Many convenient stores closed by, and good local restaurants if you know the language. Go for a harbour view room if possible - it is magnificent. We stayed on the 10th floor and sometimes the view was blocked by construction cranes opposite the hotel. Cons - The a/c was not adjustable, making the room very cold. Only 2 tiny elevators, so the trick is to go up first if you want to go down with lots of ... Read more

Good location right near the North Point MTR. Below the usual Ibis standard from a management point of view. My faulty room safe was never replaced despite daily promises. No toothbrush/paste first night and no complimentary bottles of water for the first two nights. No apologies from the hotel when I pointed this out. Good value (for HK) clean room. Cheap for Hong Kong standard, great views if you are lucky enough to have a room on the highest floors (which you should hope for as the construction work in front of the building is quite noisy) but you get what you pay for... Slow Internet, (very) small room, Bathroom looks like the ones in a school dormitory in the 1950's. Very very slow elevators. Well located on top of North Point MTR.

The hotel is located close to the bus terminal, ferry terminal and MTR station, so it is easy to travel around Hong Kong. North Point is described as an up and coming area, it is still very much an opportunity to see the real Hong Kong as it is not full of tourists, many locals so you can see the real people, can be a bit of a culture shock. We had prepaid the hotel several months in advance as the hotel was mentioned as being a clean hotel. To us this was the deciding factor of why we chose to stay here. Upon arrival we found that our room was not getting any sunlight due to being a "city view". This made the room uncomfortably damp, which was evident by the bedspread that was constantly moist to the touch which made for a bad nights sleep. The bathroom was full of black mold in every corner and the shower curtains were shabby ... Read more

The rooms are ultra small and compact, 11sq, which is small! However, if you are ok with the space it is reflected in the price, so don't pay more than $90aud. Room set up is comfortable, with bright room colour. Good access to food and public transport. Hotel staff is polite and very responsive. The downside is water pressure is low in the shower head and it takes a while to clean off the shower foam. Bathroom floor is not made of anti slip tiles, so be careful at the shower area, as I almost fell. It has two elevators servicing the 31 storey hotel and it is a long wait for the elevator. Ibis Hotel in Sheung Wan is much better.

This was my 3rd visit to this hotel and was very disappointed with the room condition of the room I stayed, Room 1502. There was problem with the ventilation in that there was damp smell and the housekeeping staff had to keep the air conditioning running all the time by inserting a cardboard in the keytag holder. There was mould on the bathroom tiles and were cleaned only after we made known to them. Mould is also present on the top section of the tiles.

This hotel is just around the corner from the airport bus (A11) terminal. It's steps away from the Underground metro line and has restaurants close by. At the moment, there's a view of HK harbor from the front. It was so quiet in my room, I'm sure they are soundproof. Staff are friendly and helpful, and speak excellent English. I have stayed at this hotel many times, and actually like it, but much depends on the particular room you end up in. Some rooms have a door to the neighbouring room - these are very bad, because you can hear everything: talk, snoring, door slamming. Additionally if they smoke in that room - which happens despite it being banned - the smoke will waft under the door and into your room. My last stay was in such a room - also had a sour smell; like urine. Booking on accorhotels.com sucks: * credi... Read more
