Hotel was clean and location was great. Near the shopping Malls. There were many food stalls around the area within walking distance. Reception was friendly and helpful. The room was a little small but most hotels in Hong Kong are like that. Breakfast was good. Had many choices, from Chinese breakfast to western breakfast. ?????╗

I have long been looking for a sensible alternative to the overpriced five star hotels in Hong Kong and this is it! I booked one of the more expensive rooms but that still comes out at half the price of the smallest rooms in the big name hotels. The room was spacious, very clean, perfectly equipped with everything you could need including a great power shower, tea, coffee and minibar, very complete digital TV package, safe and free bottled water. Unusually for HK the sound insulation of the r... Read more

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights since I was moving houses and the shipments of boxes came on different days.  Pros: great location, no frills, breakfast provided (although also no frills), clean room. Cons: elevators were slow with only 2 elevators servicing the whole building. Overall, a good, value for money boutique hotel with great location and none of the unnecessary stuff you see in the big 5 star hotels but at the same providing a comfortable room.

Our family occupied two rooms in this value for money boutique hotel during our stay in HK. The hotel is centrally located within the busiest shopping district of Causeway Bay. The rooms were clean and well maintained with all the usual amenities, inclusive of free in room wifi. The only negative aspects of this hotel are: 1) the size and number of lift - 2 small lifts serving all floors, thus usually a long wait for the lift. The size of lift is barely able to accommodate 2 large suitcases... Read more

Stayed 3 nights on business in March, by recommendation from my business customer in Hong Kong. Absolutely in killer location, near to the business district and convenient walk to major shopping areas - however the room size is what you have to sacrifice. The staffs are generally very welcoming, the simple breakfast is quite okay, and rooms are well appointed. However the only downside I experienced was when I ordered the laundry. They press folded my shirt although I marked to hang delive... Read more

It is awesome. I will recommend it to my friends and I am sure to stay in Hotel Pennington again. My only suggestion is that Hotel can provide more options for breakfast. Staying for 4 days, there are only 3 options. However, it is good and fresh.

Great value for money, well serviced room with good decor. Great location for Causeway Bay shopping and the bus to Stanley (don't bother with taxi). Concierge/porters are very helpful for directions, advice, etc.

The hotel has a great location in causeway bay. Close to malls, good restaurants, markets with taxis available right outside the entrance. Rooms are small but very nicely furnished with decent amenities. They offer a set breakfast which definitely gets boring after two days. We upgraded to a suite which was slightly larger with a sitting area but still quite a small footprint. Well that's Hong Kong for you. The hotel provides a free smartphone which you can use during your stay and can even m... Read more

I was in Hong Kong in April 2016 on business for the better part of a week. It was coming up to Rugby 7's and this was the only hotel on our list that I could get a reasonable rate at. I have to say, on first impression, I was impressed. Service was very nice and the room was nice and modern. Great location right in the heart of Causeway Bay. I normally stay at another boutique not far away, and pretty quickly found myself missing it. Hotel Pennington doesn't have a gym, which is likely ... Read more

We chose this hotel based on the location, price and positive reviews. The room was booked at the cheapest rate, but we received a free upgrade at check in. A lot of reviewers seem to complain about the small rooms, but the room was a good size for two adults and two suitcases. Perhaps the cheaper room would've been smaller. The breakfast was included in the rate. We would have preferred a breakfast buffet, but enjoyed the set breakfast as well. The free wifi worked without issues. We weren'... Read more

This is my 2nd time staying at Hotel Pennington by Rhombus. Excellent location, it is within walking distance to Causeway Bay MTR, shopping malls and eateries. Very friendly and helpful staff, especially Stephen and his young colleague at the Concierge counter and Jody at Reception desk. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay at this hotel. Highly recommended!

not huge the room, but I like the interior design. Pricing is reasonable and quite near to causeway bay MTR. some suggestions - I think the curtain need to be cleaned, collected lots of dirt. Plus point is there is a free phone which you could make local calls and free international calls to 5 countries(pre-set).

A modern very clean hotel in a busy part of the city. We stayed with our dog. Note, if you stay with your pet, you need to call the hotel and they will put you into their larger room, which is $500 HKD more. They will also need to be sent a copy of the pet health certificate and will only take animals under 25 lbs. the beds, like all of Asia, are exceptionally hard.

Hong Kong is one of our favourite cities to visit so we've stayed in quite a few hotels in the area, but Hotel Pennington is by far our favourite. Yes, the rooms are small (like every other hotel room in the city) but you can't beat the value for money in terms of location, cleanliness and facilities. The rooms were new, modern and spotless, the beds were very comfortable and the area surrounding the hotel is bustling with great restaurants, markets and shops. Just had a short stay at this hotel. Superb location in a causeway bay. Covenient walking distance to SOGO, Fashion Walk and Time Square. Lots of eateries near to the hotel, Indonesian cafes, chinese 24hour outlet, 7/11 and so on. We spent there eight nights to explore Hong Kong Island. We booked a superior double room with breakfasts. But the breakfast consists in grabbing and go as they said croissants and muffins with a bad coffee or black tea in a tea cup in paper. You have to go back in your tiny room to eat it. The main selling point's the location: you're minutes away from the Times Sq/Hysan Place epicentre, the MTR to small eateries offering everything from wonton noodles to curry rice with one-for-one beer offers. Decor's fairly sleek - there was a small outdoor patio adjoining a whisky bar - and the staff's friendly and helpful. For those looking to stay in Causeway Bay without having to pay 5 star prices, this is your best bet to stay in. The hotel is in the heart of it all: high-end luxury and low end bargain shopping, transportation, convenience stores, malls, sightseeing places, hospital and even a catholic church 5 minutes away from the hotel. Building is 24 storey with around 4 rooms per floor. 2 elevators with capacity of 7 each serving 24 floors. Ground floor concierge, 4th floor reception. Booking didn't come with breakfast. Otherwise, it's breakfast to go.

Located about a 5 minute walk from the Causeway Bay station, the Hotel is fairly easy to get to. It's a small trendy place. The front desk very kindly gave us a room upgrade, so the room size was very acceptable by HK standards, but my only gripe is that the pillows were awfully soft & the mattress terribly hard. Bottled water is rationed, they provide only 2 bottles a day free. But if these things don't bother you, it is a good location

Great stay, the twin room seemed a bit small with no views. But other than that cannot complain. Staff seemed nice and helpful. Only issue we had was the noise of tripping water coming from the room above at silly times of the night. We notified the staff and they send out people but they wasn't really concerned. Other than that a very good stay.

Before deciding on this hotel, I read reviews about how the water temperature of the shower was having problems on certain levels n I was hoping that we won't get it, however it's seems that on the level that we were staying had this problem. Water temperature fluctuates during the whole shower time, not conducive to shower kids at all. However it's was really very conveniently located.
