A clean and well positioned hotel and very friendly staff. 2 minute walk from the railway station. Pity that you need to pay for the Internet or go and sit in the foyer. The entrance can be a bit tricky to find and there are trolley cars right outside. Convenience stores and fast food a minute walk away.

My husband and I booked the Superior Room. It was smaller, darker and dated than we thought it would be. The hallway had a musty odor. However, our room was clean and affordable. The hotel is not centrally located, but is steps away from the Quarry Bay Station. If you plan to spend a lot of time at Lan Kwai Fong area or have an early airplane flight, take note the MTR Trains and complimentary shuttle bus services aren't open 24 hours. And as what another Reviewer had mentioned, too bad the... Read more

We stayed at the hotel in April and enjoyed our stay, decided on our way back from China to stay there again for few days. Our room had view of the Bay and the skyline - which was lovely. The room was spacious and clean although our second stay the room was a bit smaller. The reception area was welcoming with a lounge where you could relax and order light meals and drinks. The evenings that we stayed there was Duo who sang beautifully. Created a lovely atmosphere. The staff at reception were... Read more

Stayed here for a 2 night stop over last week on the way to Thailand . Hotel were very helpful beforehand - as we arrived early morning they recommended that we book an extra night to ensure that the room was available on arrival . Paid for a partial harbour view room - maybe wouldn't again - good view of the police station compound and glimpse of the waterways and busy road. The hotel organise a airport transfers 300 HK dollars per couple each way . Couldn't fault the room , clean , comfy bed ... Read more

Stayed here for the weekend. Stone's throw away from Quarry Bay MTR station exit C. Also, buses from Central stopped almost directly in front of the hotel. So very convenient. Offers hourly shuttle bus to airport at HK$150 per pax. Room is a bit dated - looks like the hotel was built in the 80s or 90s. But the room is a fairly good size for 2 people. Bed can be softer. Small kitchenette in my Superior Twin Room, which had microwave, stove and sink. Refrigerator is a good sized one. Kettle, tea, ... Read more

Dark-ish room. On arrival a plug socket was out and away from the wall. Shower grouting was dirty. I found the staff to be not what I would expect from a 4* hotel. Not once was I asked about my stay (i.e. enjoy your stay or did you enjoy your stay?). Wifi is ONLY free for 30 minutes in the foyer and then you have to pay for it. In the room you have to pay.

this hotel have pros side, number one is near from MRT Station (Quarry bay) and also the room really good if we compare with the price. at least, the bed and bath room in good condition. also they have a promo in their restaurant and live music. BUT, for service was horrible and WIFI, we have to inject about HKD 70 (If i didn't wrong) to enjoy one day full and only 2 devices. maybe you should upgrade this kind of guest needs more flexible.

There are closer places to central Hong Kong island but the shuttle bus or the nearby cheap subway make it easy to travel anywhere. It is certainly within a short taxi drive of good eating eating areas in the Tin Hau and Fortress Hill area n.b. try Choi's Kitchen. The hotel restaurant was very good also. We had a room on the 30th floor with a view, partly obscured, of the harbour. The room was comfortable and certainly all we needed. The pool was excellent to cool off after our trips out. In gen... We stayed here for 3 nights from May 8 till May 11, 2016 and returned again for 4 nights from June 1 - June 5, 2016. 1. Excellent and convenient: location. Airport bus no. A12 (HK$45) goes directly to the hotel. You just need to alight at bus stop number 11 "Model Housing Estate, King's Road". Going back to the airport, the bus stop is just on the opposite side of the road on your right. Travelling by MTR, Quarry Bay station is just straight opposite of the hotel. Located on the Hong Kong Island harbour area close to a tube station. Excellent breakfast and dinner buffets. Dinner buffet expensive but well worth it. Good service. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and I would highly recommend this hotel.

We were here last weekend.. the first day, we check in late about 2am. The staff already prepare my room, they told me that the room was quite small for us.. but we already exhausted so we didnt care as long as we can rest. The next day we went to macau and the next day back to this hotel. They gave us much bigger room and great view to the harbour, even we booked for the city view because it much cheaper. The room was super clean for me. The aircon was good. No complaint, all were superb. Thank... Read more

Clean, cool rooms with an excellent concierge. They helped us navigate, gave recommendations to restaurants and things to do. The no wifi was a big draw back. Was upgraded to a suite and had great harbor view. Close to metro station. Bottles of water in room were nice touch.

We are leasing an apartment at this hotel for two years because of me working in Hong Kong. The apartment is comfortable if a little basic. The hotel is kept spotlessly clean. The best bit about the hotel is the friendly staff. They cannot do enough to make our stay comfortable. Lovely pool which gets the sun most of the day. Recommend staying here. ThebMTR is very close by. Great restaurants in and around te hotel.

We had a great stay here. It was the kids first time out of Australia so this was a comfortable, clean, reliable option. We had interconnecting rooms that were spacious with comfortable beds and good bathrooms. The staff were amazing when one of one our children went missing, and two dedicated their time to searching for him. we were panicking but he was just hiding on another floor. Yes he got told off. This is located in a nice locality, Grocery store, domino's etc are located just opposite the hotel. Rooms were clean, kitchen was provided, utensils were washed everyday. House keeping people are very nice. Safe location. Kids can play in nearby playgrounds (A good one is liitle far but walkable) Food: Indian Chiken Curry was excellent, But in palak paneer it looks that they used powdered palak.

The place is nice. He exterior seems quite luxurious but the rooms are simple and a bit small for the price asked. The internet is NOT free. Only 30 min in lobby is offered. You have to pay an extra 70 p/day for 2 devices to get interent in your room. Additionally also the "free" hotel shuttle was not free.

The value for Money: Basically, everything has been informed by other reviews. Room is clean. Bed comfortable. Water pressure is. Good. Air conditioning is cold enough. The staffs we met are of good manners. The concierge are well verse in English and they certainly know their ways around HK (so do ask them on how to enjoy the Tram around etc... etc...). It is neat MTR Quarry Bay (exit C). The Problem: WIFI. It seems that in the near future the hotel is not going to provide FREE WIFI. SO I W... Read more

The rooms are well appointed and comfortable and it is good value for money. It has a nice pool area and some good in-house eating and drinking. However, they charge HK$70 per day for internet in the room! In this day and age that is a bit out of step with the rest of this highly connected world. There is free internet in th... Read more

We stayed here for 3 nights. The room was just what we expected from a city hotel, small but served a purpose. The service was good and the breakfast enjoyable. The pool area was small and had no sun in the afternoon. A rooftop pool would have been the answer, but maybe that wasn't allowed at the time of building?

We stayed here before moving from Hong Kong and it was great value. We got an excellent deal and really enjoyed the pool particularly as it was so hot! Rooms were a good size, good value for money especially for Hong Kong and in a convenient location. There is easy public transport on the MTR and a supermarket across the road. I'd recommend this for short stays in HK.

The location is a long way out from Hong Kong central, about 30 minutes on the MTR. Was upgraded to a suite, even though it was a suite with a view that was booked. Amenities within the "suite" were only provided if you were long term. We weren't, so it seemed pointless. The normal complimentary tea, coffee etc. was chargeable. HK$3 for a teabag! This is the third time that I have booked this hotel for friends and family and it never fails to disappoint. Staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. wifi is only free in foyer. You have the option of using laundrette facilities or hotel laundry service. The hotel is a 1 min walk from the MTR and less than 15 mins away from central! Again I would highly recommend this hotel.

This is a hotel with good value. Staff are extremely helpful. Rooms are small and dated. This place should plan for renovation. Housekeeping team is very good and responsive. Food in coffee shop is average and seems to cater to tour groups that tend to flock to this hotel (functional and keep you full but nothing to write home about.) Coffee shop staff is very friendly and professional.

We found the Harbour Plaza north point to be a decent hotel in a quiet part of town but with Quarry Bay MTR station a 2 minute walk away this never effected us. It was no issue having to use the MTR as we found that even if we had been more central we still would have had to use the MTR to travel to points of interest any way. We were a little disappointed with our room as it was very dated and was most definitely in need of modernising but it was was very well maintained and very clean. The... Read more

The Hotel Harbour Plaza was a very nice hotel to stay at. It had large comfortable rooms with two lounge seats. The room had a nice view of the Hong Kong harbour and Kowloon. On the 2nd floor there was a three piece band who played and sang a wide variety of music and were able to perform requests each night. We stayed here for two weeks after getting a very good price (I was worried it was too good at the price) and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The hotel is a bit further out from the main areas but there is a tram stop, a bus stop and an underground station all pretty much within 2 minutes walk of the front door and the costs for the public transportation is negligible, the tram is a fixed price, equivalent to £0.25 per trip for any journey.
