never again ever; the first time in 100s of stays all over the world even in former soviet markets that the front desk staff refused ti check me in cos I couldn't show the credit card I paid with*** NO hotel in the WORLD has ever tried this one me, even ones costing 000s a night rather than a piddling 670hkd.(** as my staff often make the booking for me while I am travelling elsewhere I truly don't KNOW the cards they may be using as we have several); eventually after making a LOT of noise a ba... Excellent location, walking distance to many attractions. About a 5 min walk to the tram. Rooms are very clean and comfortable with nice views looking over the city. Great value for the money. Would defiantly go back.

Spent five days at the GV. The rooms are a good size (bigger than European rooms), well appointed and very clean. The staff was uniformly helpful. There is free wifi but it is very slow and if you have to do some serious work on your tablet you need to get a SIM card (which is pretty cheap in HK).

The room we had in this hotel was not too bad. We'd requested twin single beds and received them but declined the offer of the breakfast package due to poor reviews. Their rooms are very clean, tidy and are serviced by housekeeping everyday. The internet is free but a bit sketchy during peak hours. The laundry prices were very expensive so as we had friends who were staying across the road at Two MacDonnell Rd, we used their laundry service which was approximately $5 for 3 1/2 kg. There is a... This hotel is located near Victoria Peak Tram station. However, a bit hard to walk from Central Station (on the hill). Room rate is good for its quality. Located in a residential area (?) and rather quiet. Front desk staffs are friendly and can provide you what you need (except for one man who was responsible on the day of my arrival: responding to all my requests to no which were found out to be all available when I asked again to a different staff later.. probably he was not well trained or n... This hotel seemed expensive but is probably cheap for Hong Kong, it's the YWCA. Conveniently located, we had a room on the 17th floor with great views overlooking the city and immediately next to the Zoological Gardens. The room is not large but adequate for a couple, with minibar fridge and good bath/shower room, TV. Good quiet aircon. The service is ultra-efficient and friendly to the point that they talk so fast they are hard to understand. My wife fell and had a bad cut on her face and they ... Read more

i find this hotel location best fit my needs. it's on mid level away from the busy in town hotels. easy access to transportation downtown. clean and friendly service. no free in room wifi in some rooms unless you pay for the service. small lobby but with free wifi. super market close by if you wish to shop for breakfast. also a small store in the building next to the hotel that sells daily essentials.

The room was nice, okay and clean. Garden view is cheaper than any hotels in nearby Central. need around 5-10 minutes by taxi to go to Central. Nearby hotel is mostly residence and apartment. A bit difficult to go to the hotel, and you should using Taxi. sometimes taxi doesn't know where it is, so you need to write down the name of the hotel and address in Cantonese or Mandarin.

Booked this place because of their advertised "minutes from the train station and attractions!". In the end, it's either pay for a taxi from the train station or walk 20min to the hotel uphill. False advertising to the max lol.

Booked a deluxe suite (for cheaper than most standard rooms elsewhere in HK) and not disappointed. 19th Floor, overlooking the city, gave us a splendid panorama of Hong Kong 24 hours a day. Taxis/buses stop right outside the lobby, and transport to central/ferries is only 5 or 6 minutes away. We also booked a single room for our nipper (who should by now, be paying her own way, but won't for some reason)...although the cost of that was negligible. Took a few days to figure out the routines/local... Read more
