We arrived early but our room was not ready. However, we paid for an upgrade to a Superior Room. The room itself is small but ample. The bed was very comfortable and we had a good nights sleep. It is also quiet as our room overlooked the race course. The shuttle bus is available to take you around to the nearest MTR. The plus point is the hotel phone which acts as your "modem" - it saves you from buying your own sim card and you can take the phone around with you. Definitely a plus point h... Read more

Just got back from HK few days ago. Stayed here for 7 nights. Just like most ppl, I booked this hotel based on reviews and it was definitely the best decision I made to stay here! Hospitality: 1. I'll give 10/10 for this! From the moment I arrived till I left, the hotel gv 101% commitment to us. When I arrived, there was someone waiting at the footpath outside the hotel to help us with the luggage. The hotel is situated at a great location, it's neat, clean and quiet. The location was the deciding factor for us to choose this hotel for our recent business trip to Hong Kong. Situated on the main road, it is very close to some of the biggest tourist attractions like the Peak Train and the Lang Kwai Fung. The metro station is close by and the tram station is a minutes walk from the main lobby of the hotel. The tram can take you straight to North Point and to Kowloon. Great hotel to stay in, g... My family and I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights during the month of June 2016. These are the problems that we faced: 1) The hotel's aircon was faulty and freezing cold. Despite us adjusting the temperature to 30 degrees and putting the fan speed to the lowest setting, it was still freezing cold. 2) We called housekeeping to help us deal with the aircon and a female housekeeper came and access the situation. She told us in mandarin and brush us off saying that the aircon is working fine but... Read more

I stayed there 7 nights with a colleague (separate rooms) for business. The staff is friendly and helps you out. Location is good if you like shopping or eating out. Unfortunately the subway was closed because of renovation works so the walk to the nearest subway is about ten minutes, pretty far and hot in your suit if traveling to the world expo. Room is really nice as it is newly renovated. The staff were attentive to my complaints and needs, they handled things very quickly. The only downside I could say is the location, but luckily the hotel do provide free shuttle buses to causeway bay as well as the airport express hong kong station. If you're familiar with the public transport system, there's a tram stop right in front of the hotel which I used frequently.

This place is OK, I guess, but the lobby isn't very nice, the breakfast is mediocre at best, and the room is clean but really pretty ordinary. There may well be a nice view of the Happy Valley Racetrack if you happen to be on that side of the hotel... but I wasn't so the view wasn't great. In general, it was a reasonable hotel with no single feature being exceptional; basically it was your standard hotel in Hong Kong. There were however some positives: - the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, including the reception staff who processes our stay efficiently, the floor staff who helped without question with all bags, the friendly restaurant staff who kept the tables clean and food coming, and... We booked this hotel through expedia.com and we learned that if you book this hotel from a 3rd party they will not give you the free breakfast and the multiple devices free high speed internet in the room, only one device can use the in-room wifi. But we used the free mobile phone that came with the unlimited data instead. As long as we got wifi, i m not complaining haha. LOCATION: we were lucky that our room were facing the highway not the graveyard and the hotel location was not too bad. abo... Read more

My husband and I stayed here for 7 nights in April and everything was awesome. The hotel is centrally located between two MTR stops (Wan Chai and Causeway Bay), has a lot of amenities, a lobby bar and nice restaurant, and the staff is very friendly. The week we were there was unbearably hot and humid and the hotel provided us with a dehumidifier free of charge. The cellphone they provided that allowed us to hotspot while we were sightseeing was also amazing! We happened to overlap with the rugby... Read more

I recently stayed at the hotel with my mother and brother on a family trip and it was great experience! We were pleasantly surprised when the hotel said they upgraded us to a deluxe room from a superior room with views over the race course. The views were a nice bonus but the best part was that the deluxe room with an additional bed added still had space to walk and for our luggage - definitely good enough going by hong kong's standards! the handy phone provided was excellent. we bought chea... Fantastic hotel - staff extremely helpful, rooms are stylish & clean, and it's in a great location. Free shuttle bus and nice decor inside. Felt very well looked after and would definitely come back! The wifi in the hotel is reliable and I appreciated the smart phone they provide with local calls and data to help you get around the city.

Great hotel. Clean and tide place, room with all amenities and housekeeping done efficiently. Plus point for us was the phone that came with the room with the good amount of data. It came in pretty handy since we had to contact some friends while we were out. Would definitely recommend it!

Room is pretty nice. Clean and decent size. The location is a bit odd. It is located in btw some major motorways. So quite hard to get in and out to other attractions. Only stay here overnight due to flight cancel so not quite sure what's around here. But to reach other side you will need to pass thru a tunnel. The room is good size and clean. Good air con and room is quiet. Restaurant downstair is not really nice. Try to go out if u can. Much better food and cheaper out there

Fantastic hotel, great neighborhood, good rooms, small but modern and clean. Beds are the best ever. Really a good hotel, however the breakfast is really the worse I have every had in my life. No assortment and really really poor. It is a shame since otherwise it would be a real champion.

We were able to take advantage of the newly renovated rooms in this hotel. The room was very modern, clean, and spacious enough for three guests-- we had 1 regular bed each which was a nice surprise-- and everything else including the bathroom were nicely designed! We had a view of the racetrack and football pitch of the nearby Jockey club, which was quite peaceful. We did not take breakfast in this hotel as we preferred to sample the various food available in HK. However, our room service fo... Read more

We stayed here during a long flight delay but I felt the need to review this hotel. It is very modern, clean service was good and check in extremely quick. I know this hotel takes in lots of people with flight delays so not sure if they have rooms specifically for this but the room was EXTREMELY small. (and cold!!). The double bed was the smallest we have ever stayed in. Location is a little odd, I don't think it is easy to access.

We enjoyed the Cosmopolitan and their hospitality. Was warmly welcomed and given great ideas of where to visit by the hotel manager. Room was clean and kept very clean during our stay. Restaurant food was better than average, both at the restaurant and in the room. Did find room service a little slow however. We'd stay again, but so many options in Hong Kong, when we return in five years we will probably stay in the Kowloon side in Tsim Sha Tsui. Thanks Cosmopolitan!!

The hotel doesn't have many facilities. It is far from MRT station. There's nothing interesting around the hotel. The surrounding area is not beautiful. The room (newly renovated) is small. Bed sheets and blankets are old. Toilet is very small, toilet towels are old and have stains. The room is always too cold and it's not possible to control the temperature. Wifi is limited to 1 device. The hotel, however, has free shuttle bus to go to some places in the city. The staff is ok.

My friend and I are returning guests, and I must say that our recent experience last Jul 23-27, 2016, was the best. The renovation was done and the room was quite nice. Services from the reception when we arrived were fantastic, up to our departure. Eric Wong at the reception was quite nice, polite, friendly and helpful to us. The guys who helped us take a taxi was excellent. He went out of his way to bring us a bit far just to help us get a cab and wrote down the plate number of the cab. ... Read more

Hotel is very clean with friendly service. Location is a little remote from the MTR station - about 10 minutes walk which is bad during the summer month. Hotel does provide free shuttle service to MTR and other nearby major areas - about 30 to 45 minutes interval. So you do have to wait if you want to use the shuttle service. The hotel restaurant breakfast is really bad and really NOT worth the price. If you want to choose this hotel, do yourself a favor and do not choose the breakfast... Read more

There was also Chinese breakfast but i didnt eat that so i cant tell. Then over a night, a whole NEW Restaurant took over!!!! They changed the buffet settings, table setting, staff, and the food!!!!!! So much more to choose and the decoration was so much more nice. Breakfast went from a 5,5 to a 7,5! I have bad impression about this hotel. I stayed from 20-24 July 2016. It not a positive notes that I want to revealed here BUT I hope the hotel Management may need to improve the customer service, friendliness of ALL the staff (poor check in & check out experience), their communication skills, the in room amenities was not what had been published in the website AT ALL. I came to Hong Kong for a weekend visit and chose the cosmopolitan. It is one of those hotel that is popular enough that all taxi drivers know the place, so you don't have to memorize the address. The hotel room is very clean and tidy, furnitures look new, and the bed is comfortable. The room is not very big but it is big enough in Hong Kong standard. The bed is also on the smaller side too so don't expect to share double rooms with more than one person. The great thing about the hotel room is t... Read more

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was very clean and modern. It was a bit on the small side for a family of 4 but in Hong Kong we don't think hotel rooms are generally spacious anyway. The breakfast was ok, not a huge variety and during peak times, you can be waiting a little while for a table. The location was great. There is a bus stop about a 2 minute walk away (with kids) that takes you all the way up to Victoria Peak for a couple of dollars. Times Square shopping mall is about a 2... Read more

Landed without any cash and didn't realize taxis don't take card. The concierge took care of it so I could check in without too much drama. The first room I was allocated was a bit damp smelling so they changed me to another room. The second room was an upgrade but it was noisy - I think the window seals in the room needed to be replaced, particularly because it was facing the main roads. Third room had an incident overnight with bugs - wasn't anything major but I was bit a few times. Manag... Read more

We stayed here as a family (2 Adults, 2 Children) for 11-nights in August. The hotel is on the edge of Wan Chai and Causeway Bay, so a little way out from Central Hong Kong. However, this is not an issue. The hotel offers a free shuttle bus to get you around; there are bus stops for the very reliable public bus service outside the hotel, the MTR stations at Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are accessible and there is a tram stop less than 100-yards from the front door. So getting out and about f... Read more
