I have reviewed this hotel before and this time around opted to stay there again. Why did I choose the Cosmo again? Location - This is, in my view, a very well located hotel. You have the options of either Causeway Bay MTR or Wan Chai MTR, the Tram is at the bottom of the road, there is a bus stop right outside to most places you would need and its an easy place to pick up a taxi. There are loads of great places to eat nearby but more on that later Rooms - Hong Kong rooms are small and there i... Read more

Our stay at the Cosmo Hotel was wonderful. The staff was helpful and friendly the second we arrived until the second we checked out. We were upgraded to a studio triple for free which was nice because we needed more space. Every time we wanted to find a destination the staff was willing to help with a map. Their is a convenient shuttle service that can get you to the pier and Hong Kong station and surrounding areas for free. Their was always free coffee and water and rooms were made up nice. The... I spent a week at the Cosmo Hotel in Wanchai, and received great service. My room was small but comfortable, and the price was right at under $100 US per night. The in- hotel restaurant is fine, but nothing special. But where the hotel excels is in its staff's service and convenience of location. As to location,The hotel is in an area where there is currently massive construction around the nearby MTR station, but the hotel has responded by a very good and frequent shuttle service that takes hote... The staff proved to be wonderful and helped in any way they could even going out of their way to buy and present a birthday cake to my husband on his birthday (the big old 65th haha!) The hotel was very clean and comfortable and had a free shuttle to the main piers, it is also on a main bus route and very close to local shops. Breakfast was a nice mix of items although it... It is really hard to say something bad about this place. For me this is enough comfortable hotel for couple of days in HK. I heard from one guest some complaints about food - but maybe he hadn't liked Chinese cuisine at all. Prices are quite high. What was really nice: patio on 5th floor with free coffee and tea and free of charge smartphone for use during stay with access to fast mobile internet. I would recommend Cosmo for everybody who plans to stay for few days in HK.

Good quick check in amazing added bonus, a smart phone available for your use whilst in Hong Kong! Which included wifi and all phone calls to England!!!!! Couldn't fault hotel, sheets and towels changed daily, breakfast was well presented albeit seemingly unfriendly but mainly geared to over nighters and visitors to conferences slippers and gowns were also a bonus! There is a lot of road works nearby so awkward walking however the shuttle busses were reliable and well organised. Considering the ... Read more

My wife and I along with many other P&O cruisers stayed two nights at the Cosmo Hotel prior to joining the Aurora on it's cruise back to Southampton. First impression of the hotel once we arrived after a very long flight from Heathrow was that the hotel staff were very efficient and welcoming. Unfortunately those impressions slowly started to diminish as we first entered our room. As is the norm in Hong Kong hotels the room was quite small (which we expected) but what we didn't expect was the ... Read more

This is the first time we stayed at Cosmo hotel. The hotel room is rather old and desperately needs face lifting. I particularly found the bathroom unpleasant. Nonetheless, the service we received from the front desk, the conseirage, the buffet breakfast and shuttle service is over and above average. The Cosmo Hotel provided the service identified in all their advertising with complimentary internet access as well as a mobile phone. An easy introduction sheet in English to explain the service and the connection (Wifi), would be helpful. Staff are very good and able to help in situations such as booking airport transfers, getting taxis, and providing advice such as Louis provided to myself. We travelled as a group of 3. We really liked the layout of the triple room, and the convenience of having 2 toilets (only 1 comes with a shower). Although there were a number of shuttle buses available, we only took the one to the airport express station. Causeway bay is a 10 minute walk away, which was ok for us, but probably not advisable for families with young kids or elderly. Service was good, with polite and helpful staff. Really enjoyed our stay at the Cosmo Hotel. Great location next to Happy Valley and at a price cheaper than most AirBnBs in Hong Kong. Room was compact but clean and perfect for our stay. The free phone was a nice touch and also great for booking tickets such as the skip-the-line peak tram tour.

Great hotel and definitely somewhere I would recommend to friends and family. The rooms are small, but pretty standard for Hong Kong. What really made the difference were the 'little' additions. Hong Kong is an expensive city so it was nice to discover a hotel that offers decent accommodations for an affordable price, especially on the island side. I will say that the hotel looked nicer in the photos than it did in real life. In reality, the hotel looks a little older and in need of some updating relative to what I saw online. A good budget hotel on HK island. A modern, spacious lobby with friendly and very helpful staff. The room we stayed in was little bit on the dated side and could perhaps do with some updating, and was very small, though for two people was perfectly adequate. The smart phone which was complementary with our room was a nice touch, and proved invaluable when out and about. Overall a pleasant stay and would stay again.

Bed was hard! The lobby staff were very helpful and nice to deal with. Location is good - restaurants about 300m walk. Shuttle Bus to airport. I loved it here and woul gladly book again my next stay in HK.

Probably not in the best location for tourists. Friendly staff. Good breakfasts. Hong Kong itself, stayed 8 nights, 3 would have been better, no plans to go back. Trips to the Harbour and the Peak were good. Public transport is good but to me it is just a huge overcrowded concrete jungle. Shopping in Malaysia is better and cheaper.

Staff immaculate and attentive, hard to rest, warning twin room very close quarters. If only the accommodation was as great as the staff the cleaners and butlers went above and beyond very kind. Not sure if will return need closer to trains

Currently staying here for 13 nights (12 too many) with family of 2 boys. First we booked a quad room in which you couldn't swing a cat in. We have no were to put clothes away so basically living out of a suitcase with a couple placed in spare bathroom to make more room. Internet said to 2 televisions in room and only has 1 so when kids go to bed can't watch to. The wallpaper is all bubbles and coming apart at the joins. The Cosmo Hotel Hong Kong is a contemporary hotel located in between Wanchai and Causeway Bay. It is a few minutes' walk to the MTR stations, or else the hotel offers a free shuttle service to nearby locations. I stayed for a couple of nights and had a pleasant stay. The room was quiet and service was good. Breakfast was fine and otherwise, there's always lots of options on places to go for a quick bite in Hong Kong!

The hotel was OK, location was a bit far from the city center and there is not much to do in the area. The price was a bit high for the service provided. They could improve the breakfast. Cons: Location Pros: not much.

Could not fault our stay at Cosmo Hotel! Rooms were a decent size, beds were soo comfortable and the free smartphone was amazing for finding our way around and for getting in contact with family at home. Particularly thought the breakfast was excellent value for money - great selection of both western and Chinese breakfasts! Initially we thought the location wasn't great but soon realised it was still very easy to get around Wan Chai pier is only a short walk away!

I must have been checked into a staff room as there was no semblance to the online pictures. I was quite dissapointed. Small, very old and 2 star quality. It was clean and the air conditioning worked well. The location was OK, near to the racetrack and Causeway bay as well as Wan Chai. Regular shuttle service was available to various points from the hotel.

Sister hotel to the Cosmopolitan. We arrived at 10am after 18 hrs travel and too early for a room...... unless we 'upgraded' they could find one that was available. Space is of a premium in Hong Kong and this was space less. Barely room to walk around the double bed on 3 sides as one side was against the wall. Wardrobe? was not long enough to hang a dress or trousers. No drawers to unpack either. Window was glazed and did not open for any air. Apart from that it was clean and comfortable for t... Read more

I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights, however i regret having stayed her at all. On arrival i found the staff at the front desk less than helpful almost uninterested in assisting me, however, i did not want to judge. Following this i was pretty much ignored at breakfast and left to fend for myself whilst staff happily assisted 'other' guests. Fortunate enough for me i had booked many tours which meant i was rarely at the hotel. Other hotels in Hong Kong offer amazing customer service to ALL their... Read more

My partner and I stayed for a week, and thought it was a good place from which we could explore Hong Kong. The hotel is about ten minutes' walk from Wan Chai metro station, with plenty of places to eat and drink in the nearby area. The hotel is modern and clean, with friendly staff at the front desk who helped us check in without any issue. Our double room was simple but had everything we needed - a nice shower, toiletries, tea-making facilities, mini bar, a comfortable bed and a smartphone that... Read more

Stayed here for a week with the Family. Booked a standard room then upgraded on arrival. It was very ordinary that we couldn't get an early check-in despite phoning before hand. We tried having a Cantonese friend call in their Language then pleading with them on arrival that we had traveled 13 hrs and taken two flights and had Children. We were staying there a week, we had upgraded the room...........any response would have been appreciated. Alan was leading the charge on the Desk and there w... Read more

Stayed in this hotel for a couple of nights before a cruise. The staff were very helpful and the free shuttle service was useful, although one of the courtesy buses failed to stop for us once. The best bit was that there was a mobile phone in the room that you could use for free to call abroad, for data using it as a wifi hotspot and take out with you. The room was a bit small, but comfortable and breakfasts were average, but you could eat as much as you wanted.

Not bad location, easy to reach main tourist spots. Free shuttle bus running from nearby Cosmopolitan Hotel is available. Hotel's smartphone is given for a deposit. There's coffee smoking room with free coffee/tea/water and light fruit snacks. The room is clean, cosy and modern styled.

We booked a suite for 4 nights for 2 adults & 4 teenagers. Check-in was a breeze. We were very happy to be attended to by Mr Alan Chan upon check-in. Excellent customer service there! He was very friendly and very helpful too. Made us feel very much at home. In fact the excellent customer service began even before we left our home. Upon reservation with booking.com, Mabel called me to confirm & they gave us extra beds & 6 breakfasts for the family. Location is also perfect with easy access ... Read more

We only stayed for a few hours so can't comment on much. Airport shuttle upon landing in Hong Kong was ok, had to get to Hong Kong train station from the airport first. We had to leave the next morning very early but the shuttle back to the airport only started at 6am, which was inconvenient for us. Room was very small (& expensive) but from what I gather that's Hong Kong. Still, a bit disappointing. Location was ok, short taxi ride to everything.

The Front Desk staff were simply excellent! They were ALL immensely helpful when it came to my local travel needs of of buses, trams, etc. So polite and helpful! I cannot say enough about them. Mr. Alan Chan, Senior Guest Services Manager was super! But I was not happy with the Housekeeping. Even the Supervisor could not speak proper English as I tried to explain to him my problems. If you are a 4 star hotel, then English is a must even for the housekeeping staff. As for the cleanliness, ... Read more

Very nicely appointed rooms with views over the racecourse or cityscape. Courteous, helpful but unobtrusive staff. Every time I've stayed there it's been most pleasant. I would opt out on breakfast and head to Wanchai for your morning nosh.

There was no room in the room. I could barely turn around. My suitcase didn't really fit into the room. It was mostly clean but everything was heavily used. The breakfast bar offered nothing that was tasty and it cost 150HKD (about 20 USD). The staff members were friendly and helpful.

Taxi took me to the wrong hotel to begin with, Cosmopolitan next door (now renamed Dorsett). The check in was quick and friendly. Room number was a bit hard to find as it was on the floor so pay attention. Small room but working order. Breakfast was nice, selection not lavish but more than enough. The staff polite and efficient. The hotel is value for money. Relatively cheap, clean and convenient.

I am a big guy but they put me into a small room, only slightly bigger than the 'double' bed (two single beds pushed together). I stubbed my toe on the bed leg - twice. The room was clean but too small! I could hardly move. I ordered room service one night. There was nowhere to put it so I had to eat it off the bed! They only appear to have two 'meals' on offer - a "Wagyu" burger with chips or a fish burger with chips. I was told it would take 45 minutes to deliver. About 30 minutes later it a... Read more

The best part about staying in this hotel is to avail the free shuttle services to every destination in the city almost! The better part is it's complimentary breakfast which is splendid and wholesome. The good part is their staff who are very helpful and caring, the reception staff. Finally, the rooms are actually a bit small, but well off. Though small in size they pack in the punch and is very good as well! Good location as well.

This is a 3* hotel and offers all that expected plus very clean. Yes, the rooms are tiny and I would not spend more than abbot 2-3 nights here. But it's located very well with a bus stop just outside and easy to hail a cab. Rooms are very clean and can't fault this and housekeeping is tops. Don't expect the world and you'll be so impressed with what you actually need ;-) I'm writing this, with my partner asleep next to me, having had the best day in my life, in an iconic city...
