We stayed in a Grandluxe room for 2 nights. So on arrival we got to check in upstairs in the business suite in comfort with lovely staff who spoke excellent English. Our room was lovely and big, clean and comfortable. We had available all day snacks and soft drinks in the business lounge, then from 6-8? Alcohol and canapés included in our room package, this was very nice. The pool area is very clean with 2 staff members watching over at all times. The buffet breakfast was plentiful with a chef ... Pretty unwelcoming experience from the start. No bellboy to assist with luggages and no one to open the doors even there were staff standing around trying avoid eye contact. Booked for a room with three single beds but it was so small that the luggages could not even be rolled into the room. Only after insisting to talk to the manager that the manager changed the room for us. The rooms were also so outdated, at least ten years with no renovation.

In one of the world's most crowded cities, decent hotels at a reasonable price are not easy to find. As a business traveller, convenience and price compliance are key requirements. This hotel meets these needs very well. With quite spacious rooms, a great restaurant for dinner, and conveniently located at North Point near the MTR, it is a good choice. Tim Ho Wan is one block down the road too - the cheapest Michelin star restaurant on earth! Lunch for 2 - about $25 USD.

This hotel is about 5 mins from Fortress Hill MTR station but a bit far out from the tourist bits. We stayed here on our second visit & chose to be close to a friend's apartment so worked well for us however would rather have stayed in TST. The hotel was clean & tidy but could do with a bit of upgrading - walls & carpets were a bit tired. All staff we came into contact with were very helpful and courteous. There's some good bakeries nearby for breakfast as the hotel's is a bit pricey and by no... Read more

We were in HK for a wedding and our host booked the hotel for a group of us. Before our arrival, we had our doubts about the hotel...we thought it was priced too high for the area and that it would turn out to be one of those tour operator hotels with bad service, worn linens etc. But boy, were we wrong! It turned out to be a really pleasant stay and even though it was in the outskirts, it was in a really convenient area. The subway was within walking distance, there was a market nearby, lots o... Spacious room for Hong Kong standard; good city view. Temperature inside is always comfortable even when its a heat wave outside during summer season. Complimentary bottles of water, water heater and instant coffee makes it a nice touch for being away from comfort of home. There are plenty of decent nearby restaurants within 10 minutes of walking distance in either east or west direction. There is a decent gym and swimming pool on second floor. Price per night is medium range so plan your budget... Read more

Average rooms. Has all you need for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was ok with fairly good spread. Was very crowded, so check in, breakfast was a little bit of a war zone. Loads of chinese tourists- can get loud especially when they have floor parties. But they were at least entertaining to watch. Staff were polite but average service at best. Maybe because I looked like a chinese tourist?! Best service came on the last day- ironical when I was about to leave. Concierge guy was pleasant, helpful... Read more

Clean rooms, pleasant staff, internet worked well, good water pressure, prompt room service. Several restaurants, but not impressed with the food- just "ok". Good location, easy to walk to restaurants around North Point.

A great balance in affordability and luxury. Public transport in the form of bus, taxi, subway is readily available. Limited options for dining. The surrounding neighborhood easily blends old and modern cultures. Walking distance from Hong Kong sport stadium. Hotel serves as a base to explore events such as Hong Kong Sevens. Staff is proficient with the English language.

Location - it??s in the midst of wet markets and local eateries, no need to have meals at the hotel. Fortress Hill MTR station is a 5 minute walk, you can also get on a tram or other transportation means on King??s Road. Very convenient. Room/Amenities ?? The room size is spacious according HK standard, room décor and the bathroom are modern, wifi connection is good. Unfortunately there??s a musty smell and we need a room freshener spray every time we enter the room, the ventilation filter... Read more

We booked three rooms for a family of five. We got good customer service. The rooms were clean and nice. Location is in a "quieter" part of Hong Kong. Loved that Tim Ho wan is just a 2 minute walk. The hotel offered free cell phone to use per room. I slept well and will go back to this hotel next time I am in Hong Kong.

hotel is accessible to any transport. I loved the smell of perfumed lobby, very welcoming...I just wish that perfumed smell will include the rooms and aisle :) We always come late night and the neat tucking of bed sheets and pillows are very welcoming ... Our 2nd time stay in this hotel.

The hotel is conveniently located a short walk from Fortress Hill MTR, making it easily accessible. The rooms are spacious for an HK hotel in this price range and well-appointed. I had a higher (20th) floor room facing north, and there was little to no exterior noise, though the hallway doors aren't exactly sound-proof. Only knock is that the cleaning could be slightly improved. It was fairly well cleaned, but there was a selection of long hairs scattered about the carpet, suggesting the vacuumi... Read more

The appearance of the lobby and staff were quite nice. Like a Sheraton or something. The price is quite reasonable for Hong Kong and the location is very good, close to the Fortress Hill metro stop and the quaint trams (streetcars?). The room slightly run down, but still very good. Bed clean and comfortable. Don't expect much of a view (at least not on my side) I got a free upgrade, nice size room with safe etc. so I can't complain. My only complaint is they put a good size funds freeze on... Read more

If you need to stay in North Point and do not have a budget then you can pick this hotel but even if you are upgraded to 21th floor the only thing you will see is the wall of flats facing the hotel and obstructing the harbour view. Staff is very Chinese and rooms are aging even if clean especially the bathroom and the carpet and furnitures. But 720 HKD per night and 5' walk from MTR to Central

This is a review of the buffet on the first floor and no the excellent Tue restaurant which is a Hong Kong Michelin Star winner. This buffet costs over US$50 so one would expect not only good quality food but excellent presentation. I arrived at 8:30 so hardly a time when availability of food lines would have been an issue. The jamon ham was just an empty display tray with residue of melon slices. The two meat dishes - steak and lamb cops - were almost un-chewable, fibrous and stringy. The... Read more

My wife and I have stayed at this hotel several times. It is very good value for money with friendly staff who help when they can. It always seem quite busy so at some times the staff can have a lot on their hands. It has a very small weights gym with a bench, dumbells and a multi-machine, a cardio room and a swimming pool, all kept very clean with fresh towels and water available. The rooms themselves are a bit dated but kept very clean with the house keeping staff attending every day. It's ver... Read more

A good business class hotel with decent room rates (book online at hotel web site at least 45 days in advance), rooms are large, walking distance to Fortress Hill MTR entrance, even nearer to trams & buses. Lots of food within 5 mins of the hote incl Michelin starred Yue (chinese restaurant in the hotel), Tim Ho Wan and Lei Garden. Apart form the Michelin starred eateries, there's 2 Cafe de Coral, Yoshinoya and lots of local eateries.

Our stay here this last week was enjoyable, the staff were very accomodating and courteous and the food at their restaurants was very nice. The hotel is located only 2 short streets to the mtr station. Only one fault though...the plumbing was noisey from the nearby rooms but bearable.

We like this hotel because it is located in the residential area. They are close to the highway so it won't cost you much to take the taxi to Causeway Bay or the closest shopping mall (Taikoo Shing). This was an okay hotel. I might have a better review, but when we arrived for our reservation we were told that the only rooms that were available were on the smoking floors. While the aroma wasn't overwhelming, you can never get rid of the smell of cigarettes completely and by the time we finished our stay it was beginning to give me a headache. The decor is a bit tired and the rooms could use a complete refresh (though this could be influenced by the lingering stale smoke odor.) Location ... Read more
