This is for the bar and restaurant we attempted to eat at: The sign on the road clearly stated "Public Welcome!" So in we went, walked around a bit then decided to have a bite to eat. Passed through the bar area. There were 6 people behind the bar. We sat at a table, and watched several people go from the bar to tables out on the sand. They walked right past our table, never acknowledging our presence! If they were busy, someone could have said in passing "We're shorthanded but will be with ... Read more

sitting/laying areas- torn up,stained/dirty; food - poor quality; waitress who took our order & waited on us by the water was amazing-spoke english-and very polite; trash & debris in lagoon-we are talking garbage actual garbage like bottles wrappers plastic glass etc; pool had a film on top/slide was not working, and if I cant see more than 3" into the water I don't go in; gopro/scuba was a bust as there was only 1 tiny fish to be found-lagoon is manmade so the most interesting thing we saw was ... This was a beach stop on an island tour of Roatan, and it was a very nice break. There is a lagoon near the ocean, where you can swim or snorkel. There are also boats and kayaks for rent. The beach has lounge chairs, hammocks and several tables under thatched roofs for a break from the sun. We were only here a couple of hours, but it looks like a great sport for a few days to get away in the Caribbean sun and sand. One of the couples on our trip said they were going to plan a trip to come ... Read more

We booked a tour guide and had a great time in Roatan. We were exhausted by the end of the day, but the guide insisted we go to this resort to just relax before we boarded the ship. We were very skeptical, but went for it. What a great decision! The resort is absolutely gorgeous. It's like a gem in the middle of nowhere. We sat in the outdoor restaurant and had lunch, hopped on the free wi-fi and just enjoyed the view. It was raining while we were there, so we didn't make use of the pool,... Read more

My family and I traveled to Parrot Tree last July and we had a great vacation! The facilities are more than comfortable, and the food and service was great. There's a big pool with a water slide great when traveling with kids, and the water free of charge kayacks at the closed ocean area of the hotel are something our boy was looking foward to enjoy every day.Having a washer and dryer set at the unit was a great plus. We definitely recommend this hotel when traveling for several days and when l... Read more

I went to Roatan this time for the stem cell procedure on my knees and arms at the GARM clinic.Since their office and procedure room is at Parrot Tree, this was the best place to stay. My husband was going to go with me, but he broke his pelvis and was in too much pain and had to stay at home. I was in Room 909 which is on the third floor of unit 9 and which has only four steps and then an elevator. The room was really lovely and the location was very quiet since it was a longer walk to La Pa... Read more

This was the location that was selected for our Vow Renewal. We could not have had a better location. The ladies at Parrot Tree decorated the gazebo with fresh flowers that complimented the color scheme my wife selected. The minister that was provided was perfect.

Last minute trip to Roatan, Parrot Tree is a modern tropical European feel, marble, stone, brick, palm, and Caribbean Sea upscale resort. Nicely decorated, clean, and fully furnished condo like room. Onsite facilities, pools, private beach, and restaurant excellent. A 30 minute drive away from town, isolated with controlled entry to grounds.

We stopped in for a little swim and lunch. Beautiful, quiet place for swimming with facilities for changing and plenty of outside showers with fresh water. The food was very good and not really spicy, but the service was so slow that it left very little time for swimming. However, we enjoyed the relaxing time in the bohio and the breeze was refreshing. Very picturesque.

We just got back. We have been to Roatan twice in the last month. This time we stayed here at The Parrot Tree Plantation. They have a reef right at this hotel that you can get to and go to anytime you please. They also have a really nice pool as well as a bay you can swim in at the hotel. This hotel has an great driving service and they have an English speaking Driver that we have used both times we stayed in Roatan. His name is Alex of Roatan 360 Tours and we highly recommend him. The rooms a... Read more
