Purchased Shoreexcursions tour much less than the excursion on the RCL Vision of the seas. The driver met us at the cruise port at the exact time that we scheduled. She was ready with her clean car and drove us to the east side of island to Parrot Tree Plantation. 20 minute drive. Picture above is exactly what we saw! Gorgeous! Plenty of lawn chairs, private beds, chairs. March was a great time to visit, no over crowding. Pools were clean and the lagoon was over looking the ocean protected by br... Read more

I have been going to Parrot Tree for 6 years now with friends who own homes there. I was just there the other day and was amazed at the lack of care the swimming pool had. The pool itself was littered with trash, Kleenex in the water, dead, moldy leaves sunk to the bottom, bottle caps floating in the pool. There was a hose laying partially in the pool. The bottom drains in the pool were all broken with large gaping holes in them that a small child could step into. There were so many tiles missin... Read more

The experience of a lifetime. The place is simply gorgeous to stare at. The views and the ambiance is wonderful. People all around want to make you feel at home and immediately makes you feel comfortable and safe. The rooms are a blast! Didn't want to leave the bedroom! The beach, the views. The restaurants and bars.... everything is just luxury and detail to the highest level. The food is delicious, tried hamburgers, fish, steak, even pasta. Loved everything. The breakfast! Genius! Decided to take a day trip to the Parrot Tree on our last Roatan day as our scuba gear dried out. A pretty fantastic landscape opens up to their lagoon and beachfront area, which was super well maintained and virtually deserted. After ordering a rum and pineapple, we swam around the warm lagoon, did a little kayaking and exploring along the mangroves, and relaxed in the beach chairs. A couple of burgers and beers later you are free to nap on the beach, shower off, change, and if you had a pre-... Read more

Our tour stopped at this resort as it a quiet and remote beach. She was absolutely correct, we were the only couple present and enjoyed a very pleasant time here. Whilst it is part of the Parrot tree complex, the general public can use the beach.

My family and I had a wonderful vacation staying at Parrot Tree. The condo rooms were gorgeous with top of the line stone flooring, tiling and granite countertops. The room was clean and very comfortable. I enjoyed using the jacuzzi tub. There was a large balcony with a beautiful view of the stunning lagoon. This lagoon was amazing to swim and snorkel in. The pool was beautiful too, but we loved swimming in the lagoon with its lovely sand beach and scenery. The food, drinks and service was ... Read more

I was in Roatan for a business trip and chose this hotel because of its location and price. My room was impeccably clean with amazing views of the sea.It was fully equipped with a stove, fridge and dinnerware and although I did not use nor need them, I would recommend this place for a longer term holiday rental. The restaurant staff were attentive and polite and the food was good and hearty. Highly recommend this place and I will be returning on holiday next time.

The resort rooms were small, but nice. The locks on the sliding glass doors leading out onto the porch were broken and we had to use a piece of wood to prevent anyone from entering the room unwelcome. The lagoon area was nice for swimming and scuba lessons (I recommend the scuba instructor on site - but get the book and read it before you take your first lesson!). Beware the timeshare sales rep! We entered into a timeshare contract filled with a lot of promises that have not been kept (i.e. life... Read more

The swimming pool at Parrot Tree makes this a delight for parents... It's got a waterslide... and it's two levels.. plus there are sunbeds and you can gather your family to enjoy the day... It's also safe here.. I mean that in the sense that you aren't on the West Bay Beach where there is more confusion and it's so much easier to watch your kids... The lagoon there is also a plus... safe for the kids... The unexpected treat... Just off the property in the south bay of Honduras, is an amazing sea... Read more

...on the banks of her own lagoon... I thought, of these lyrics, from the Beatles "She came in through the bathroom window" many times, as I enjoyed lounging around the private, natural lagoon at the Parrot Tree. The grounds are immaculate. The swimming pool, large and sectioned to provide semi-private areas to gather with friends. The food is great, with a nice menu of items to please, just about anyone, including my 14 year old son. The manager/owner was seen often, tending to business and the... Read more

We were evacuated here for hurricane Earl from our resort. We were told it was one of the nicer places, so it makes me worry about what the bad ones were. I will give them the benefit of the doubt that they were overwhelmed, the only reason they didn't get a terrible. Here are all of the things that they need to work on. Check in... They neglected to say don't drink the water until we noticed the bar was only using bottled water and asked. Some of the rooms were in construction people were g... Read more

We spent a few hours here as part of a tour of roatan. The place was stunningly maintained and we enjoyed the SUPs and kayaks during out short visit. It was fun to jump off the bridge into the enclosed beach area. We had dinner which was reasonably priced and tasted fresh. The staff were attentive but not overly so. The reason for the 3 stars is that it seemed too manicured for my liking. Roatan is an exceptionally beautiful place and I felt Parrot Tree to be very commercialized, which, though s... Read more

While we were staying at a dive resort on the other side of the island, Earl hurricane was coming to visit us. The dive resort decided to evacuate us and they were able to relocate us to a few resorts. We went to Parrot Tree Plantation. Considering that two busses were arriving all at once, the process to get us a room was fairly efficient. The staff at PTP realized not enough rooms were available and after some negotiation, it appears that for the purpose of helping, they would have opened ... Read more

Pretty on the outside! We were taken to Parrot Tree as a safer location from Anthony's Key during Hurricane Earl. The road leading into the resort was very impressive, looks like close to a mile of brick pavers and seemed like a very high end place. With little notice about 2/3 of our resort showed up at this resort and as you can guess check in was anything but normal. Once we crossed that hurdle we went to our unit and upon first glance everything seemed what one would expect from a 4-5 star... Read more

We arrived late and were very welcome by the lovely staff. Our room is luxurious and huge with high ceiling, highest quality stone work, but the nearby noise of the bar made us ask for another room and they obliged with something isolated with an even better view of the ocean and it was larger. The breakfast is so so hence the 4 stars but the overall experience was great and besides, we spent most of our time exploring the beautiful island of Roatan.

Honestly parrot tree was everything I expected it to be and more. I had a great time with my fiance, and we can't wait to go back after a wedding for a honeymoon.. The only downside was the electricity went out a few times and the Wi-Fi signal was kind of weak from our room but, other than that everything else was five stars and I definitely recommend it to anyone going to Roat√°n looking for a nice getaway...

We spent the day here enjoying the water, sun, beach bar, and open air restaurant. Had fried calamari! Mmm service was fast and friendly. It was off season and we had the beach to our selfs. I would highly recommend you send a day here.

Beautiful room, landscape, scenery, very romantic. I truly appreciated my stay at Parrot Tree. My fiancé loved it and we felt very comfortable. The only thing I can say that was negative, was the power cut off 2 of the 3 nights we were there. I have stayed at Paradis inn and a few other resorts, so far Parrot Tree is my favorite. I would recommend a car due to the location but it was an amazing experience.

We just got back. We have been to Roatan twice in the last month. This time we stayed here at The Parrot Tree Plantation. They have a reef right at this hotel that you can get to and go to anytime you please. They also have a really nice pool as well as a bay you can swim in at the hotel. This hotel has an great driving service and they have an English speaking Driver that we have used both times we stayed in Roatan. His name is Alex of Roatan 360 Tours and we highly recommend him. We stopped in for a little swim and lunch. Beautiful, quiet place for swimming with facilities for changing and plenty of outside showers with fresh water. The food was very good and not really spicy, but the service was so slow that it left very little time for swimming. However, we enjoyed the relaxing time in the bohio and the breeze was refreshing. Very picturesque.
