"Infinity Bay is probably the nicest place to stay in West Bay, if not all of Roatan!
Air conditioning worked great in the room.
Take BUG SPRAY for the sand flies...they come out with a vengeance at dusk (or before)!
There is a strip mall close by with 3 little restaurant/sandwich shops, a small grocery store (which has higher prices but carry a lot of American items) and a coffee shop, to name a few.
The reef is directly in front of the hotel for diving and snorkeling...awesome!
The water taxi goes right from the pier (to West End) in front of the hotel (3 USD) but they stop around 6:00pm and the taxi ride back is 15USD.
The dive shop on site is great!
Very friendly staff and our Spanish, though appreciated, wasn't really needed as so many people spoke English.

"The resort was above average overall for an island in Honduras. Check in was a long line and not a quick process in a tiny office. Room was ok but light switches for three circuits including ceiling fan in front room did not work. Cabinets and kitchen were very nice. You can drink the water in the room. Bathroom was small and had a piece of cardboard cut to cover missing light switch plate and was taped in place with black electricians tape. Room was always very warm even though the sound of the air conditioner could be heard. No adjustment to room thermostat made any difference. Electricity went out a few times so be prepared for short durations of no power. The conversations of neighbors could be easily heard from next door. Could be a problem if you and your neighbors spend a lot of time in the room and one is noisy while the other needs quiet. Pool was clean. Bar with swimup was a plus. Drinks were above average in price but consider that this is one of the premier resorts on the premier beach. Did not do the all inclusive option. Lots of chairs on the beach but the usual tactics of guests putting books or towels on the few with shade early in the morning and then little use during the day. Cruise passengers get passes to the property so be aware of busy times when ships are in port. Squatters without wristbands are not addressed. Be aware that beach peddlers are always present but much more so during cruise ship arrivals and the hawkers keep coming through the beach chair areas without restriction, even though they have security guards on duty all the time. The beach and ocean are immaculate. The reef is only fifty yards from shore and easy to swim to. A true diver's or snorkeler's paradise. Free shuttle to and from airport included. Close to a mini mall and some basic retail groceries, coffee shop, and spa. Also prime location on best beach in Roatan with easy walking (bring a flashlight) to many good bars and restaurants that have entertainment at night. Not a rowdy night time place and the resort is very quiet in comparison to Cancun. Maybe not a good choice for young singles or spring break party goers."
