Very nice hotel, with a very good restaurant close to the center of Antigua. Great price for a group and very good service. The facilities are a little limited (no pool or gardens to sit in) but if you goal is to have a place to launch your visit in Antigua I would recommend it.

Perfecto!! So now I will change to English and say that this is a beautiful hotel with very comfortable beds and pillows. The staff was excellent and very helpful. I wish we had spent a bit more time at the hotel. Guatemala City itself doesn't seem so great.

I left my opinion written twice. No response. Great follow through! I asked for a quite room at checkin. The girl put me in a room over the highway. She did just the opposite. The water drips constantly in the sink, the toilet water control got stuck constantly and had to be manually lifted to stop the toilet from running. The drain in the shower had a very sharp part that nearly punctured my foot! The drain in the bathtub doesn't work correctly. Cleanliness was terrible. I or... Read more

This is a beautiful hotel with great hospitality. The restaurant staff is amazing. I forgot their names but I will never forget how attentive and professional they were. From the moment you get there, concierge greets you at the entrance they help you with your luggage and if you need anything from any store outside of the hotel, they will get it for you! They are friendly and very helpful. I will gladly recommend this hotel.

My husband and I greatly enjoyed staying one night at the Vista Real Hotel. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The hotel was a quiet escape from the busy city. The hotel grounds are fragrant with blooming flowers and our room was a small slice of luxury. We had a great night of sleep in a bed that reminded us both of a cloud. We will be back!

I don't think I've ever left a bad review before but I'm pretty disappointed. I had a reservation for tonight for myself and my son, but the airline cancelled our flight. I called the hotel, spoke to two people, but all I got was 'sorry; you're too late to cancel.' I can totally understand the policy, but in this situation there is nothing I can do to make it. I stay in very nice hotels at least 100 nights a year, and normally they are willing to work with you. Vista Real is not.

This hotel is a Grand Class hotel among the LUX hotels that are known worldwide. My room had a few problems--no hot water, desk lamp not able to stay on, the power on the radio/alarm clock (I had set the alarm) went off during the night, and the temperature kept falling from the 20C we set it at until I turned it off at 4 a.m. at 16 C (60 F). I gave the management the list, and they said they would get these items fixed. Lamp replaced, hot water being worked on, thermostat still traveling dow... Read more

I came in the Vista real 2nd time and still this is the best hotel I have ever seen. It has specious rooms, good staff, gym, swimming pool, bar etc. At reception Alejandra and Karen are the best and I really appreciate the services. Hotel is full of greenery and site seen. I would suggest to hotel management to install the facility of indoor games. It is the best family and business hotel.

Hotel Vista Real has been one of my favourite for a long time, situated on top of a hill offers a beautiful view of the city, with a very nice decor and comfortable beds it makes your business trip a pleasure, their staff and quality of service is second to none, they have always made me feel at home, the rooms are quiet and well designed, the food is great, I am not a big fan of the coffee in the rooms (which happens in pretty much every hotel) but if you order coffee from their kitchen it is j... this hotel hits every mark. The food, the rooms, the amazing customer service. THIS is the way a great hotel should be run. there was several gifted and talented employees at the hotel. their attention to detail was outstanding. one front desk agent, Estuardo, presented himself with knowledge, caring and you can see his dedication to his job. I wish other hotels had employees like him and the rest of the staff at hotel Vista Real. I will return very soon!!

I went for a business trip and I stayed there for few days. The hotel is really nice, the gardens and beautiful and the staff is very friendly, specially at the restaurant. I always had very good service. Rooms are comfortable. The only set back its that the tub has a very high step to get into it. Very difficult to get in.I think they should hare the shower and tub separately, or think of an option to make it easier. The total environment is really nice. They light it up very nicely at night.... Read more

Today we went and had an excellent brunch at the Hotel Vista Real. The food tasted great, the variety is excellent and the service perfect! Our waiter name is Edwin and he made us feel welcome and special. There was a pianist making the ambiance very pleasant. I strongly recommend the Sunday Brunch Carlos R. Paredes

This was out first time to stay at Vista Real and the hotel is really gorgeous. The common areas and landscaping are all really grand. The rooms are large and comfortable with somewhat ostentatious furniture. Really comfortable and a bit luxurious. The only negative for us was the pool. It's small and ice cold and right by the Main Street. Not nice, not relaxing. Having said that it's only a negative if you want to swim! All in all very, very nice stay in Guatemala City.

The place is nice, a little outdated maybe. Rooms are big, gym and pool are nice, food is good, nothing exceptional though. It's not that far from the center in distance but it's a tough place to get to or leave because of traffic. I felt the room service management can step up their game. It took too long, they forgot stuff, it took forever for them to take an item of my bill that was on there due to an error. Very friendly staff.

We arrived to what I must firstly say is a beautiful hotel with gorgeous rooms, however my girlfriend and I saw straight away that the price advertised online was actually without tax. This was 22% so a lot of money on to our stay (we had been backpacking for a month and this was supposed to be a treat before leaving Guatemala). We found the cost of the food in the restaurant fair considering you are staying in a nice hotel and expect to receive some very nice, quality food. However, we waited a... Read more

Majestic hotel with great architecture and gardens. We had a great stay for a couple of nights, comfortable rooms, good food, great guest service and very courteous staff. We had an issue with an extra charge on our bill that we had not requested and which we did not notice at the time of check out. We called the hotel back and the hotel staff went the extra mile to solve our problem and give us a refund. One of the best luxury hotels in Guatemala City!

Paid too much for an average room. They advertise their amazing views, I saw no such thing from the room which was very overpriced. This is the second review, they deleted the first one. I would not stay there again and I do not recommend. Staff is very cold and absolutely not friendly at all.

Nothing to do around the hotel. The hotel looks like every other chain hotel. The staff is rude and will barge in your room to check the minibar. The staff doesn't care to help you figure out the best spots to go. The taxi drivers all charge different rates and will rip you off. The photos are deceiving!

Hotel Vista Real's restaurant is amazing! Our dinner celebration was a very memorable one! The staff was always on top of things and we were delighted with the menu options! Everyone had a different dish and all of them were delicious!!! A real gourmet experience! I highly recommend it!!! They even brought flowers to our friend and sang happy birthday to her! Thank you, she really needed to be cheered up and the staff accomplished it!!!!

We only stayed one night at Vista Real. We got a huge room, all was clean, and the breakfast buffet was very good! We only had some issues with our airport transportation being delayed by the hotel- but we were lucky there was no traffic and we got there on time.

Very nice hotel with bigger than expected rooms. Love the restaurant, with breakfast buffet. We only stayed for one night, but enjoyed it. We enjoyed walking around the hotel and by that I mean just the actual hotel. Not really much to walk to, from the hotel. Sept and October is the rainy season, so definitely bring a rain ligh jacket and comfortable shoes, that you don't mind getting wet.

Hi all, Vista real is good place to live, here hotel management staff is pretty good and friendly. You will enjoy your stay. But the mail issue here is the food. Since 10 year the same menu has been served. And they don't chef don't bother whether it is cooked or not , many a time papa(potato) remains uncooked but chef don't bothers, if you order food at room you feel the food is dumped on the plate like garbage. Presentation is zero. If you gono stays long, then please be hungry to eat the foo... Read more

Very attentive staff. They really do take care of you. Hotel's restaurant is good. They have a huge breakfast buffet that is not only favored by the hotel guests but also locals. The bar is small and intimate. The bar was Juan Carlos, so I gave him the nickname of "El Rey" (same game as the King of Spain). The rooms are spacious and well appointed. I admit the beds and comforters were so wonderful, it was tempting to not want to get up even to meet the day. Lovely view of the city below and the ... Read more

I went o Guatemala on a work trip and decided to stay at Hotel Vista Real. My recommendation is safety first. Guatemala can be dangerous so make sure you arrange transportation through the hotel to pick you to and from the airport. I just came back from a business trip to Guatemala City, experience at the hotel is great with respect to architecture, the place is simply fantastic, absolutely out of the ordinary. Concerning operating conditions, especially in the room, it was a bit left to desire as bed was not comfortable and water temperature from the shower was unstable, changi... Read more

Today I was in this Hotel for business, Fabuestero a radio station in Guatemala has once sunday every month an event called "Tardes Chapinas". This event costs aprox Q 250.00 (US $ 35.00 p/p) and includes buffet. This event is about hearing and dancing with marimba, the national instrument of our country Guatemala. The Hotel is one of a kind and the food is really tasteful, if you have the budget for it just worth it. And of course I loved the coffee!
