The photos of hotel Veneto on the internet look too good to be true. You know what? It actually looks like that in real life too. We arrived at night, and the beautiful atmosphere made us feel welcome straight away. Not only was the place great, but the staff were very welcoming and supportive, helping us out with booking trips and rental cars. The host Yiannis is a champ, who always has time for his guests, and do not forget to have dinner at Veneto, great Cretan food with a modern twist. Great... Read more

This time we stayed in the "fresh" added new suites of Veneto, as a normal frequent stop in Rethymno. Worths to mention that there is no other room or suite in Old Rethymno city to be compared with the new added suites. Elegant and convenient, excellent design, best location. This, in combination of the trremendous service and food offered by Veneto restaurant, made our stay outstanding. Veneto is definately the best place to stay in Rethymo..

And a wonderful waitress. Plus the great food was a lovely evening. We went veggie - the staff were very helpful adapting items. Good sized portions. Highly recommended. And now some random words to get to 200 characters. Really!! Trip advisor is making this too hard

Amazing centrally located boutique hotel, staff is very friendly and helpful, big clean rooms, and an excellent restaurant with a great wine list!!! All in all it was a great experience. Veneto is definitely the best place to stay and dine in Rethymno..

We really had had an amazing dinner, and then birthday party for Vania. The fish menu was prepared from Yannis, and it was outstanding. After all, we enjoyed hospitality in Room 104, which by the way has an authentic 16 century entrance door with handmade nails!

We recently stayed at the Veneto Hotel. Hotel was amazing and room 106 with terrace was perfect, with breakfast and restaurant very good. Every part of the hotel had been beautifully restored. Perfectly placed amongst the alleyways of Rethymno. All staff were very welcoming, charming and very helpful. Will certainly be looking to visit again,

I stayed for 6 nights with my Girlfriend, and we really didn't want to leave! It is a beautiful old property and we were immediately made to feel welcome (we were given breakfast on the house as we arrived on a very early flight). This service continued throughout our stay, and staff went out of their way for us, preparing breakfast when we had a 05:30 start and always greeting us with a smile when we entered the hotel. Our room was spacious and light, with a view overlooking the pretty c... Read more

Easy to walk to. The place is gorgeous and the courtyard where you sit to have breakfast is beautoful. Our room was large and clean. Wish the brd was softer but everyone spoke English and we had a great time. Right in the middle of old town so very easy to go out and walk to everything there.

Tucked away on a side street, it is a little hard to find and impossible to drive to (the alley is too narrow). You need to call the hotel and ask for directions. The rooms are large and comfortable. The building has both old and new wings. Wifi is fast.

Absolutely lovely week in a beautiful hotel. The room was perfect, very neat and tidy with a maid who came each day. We had paid for the simplest room yet were surprised when that came with both a balcony and private courtyard, perfect for sitting and relaxing. The location was great, very central to the old town, less that 5 minutes to the castle and the beach with lots of restaurants close by Great place to scale for a week

Set in a 14th-century building, the Veneto has a small number of beautiful and comfortable rooms done in the traditional Cretan manner with modern marble bathrooms (there are two new modern junior suites, which we did not see). The staff is absolutely charming, friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Good breakfast. There is a lovely gift shop with very interesting items (not cheap tourist stuff). The Veneto Restaurant is fabulous.

If you want to stay in an excellent hotel, with the best location Stay Here! The rooms are very large and a bit old fashioned because they are trying to keep the original splendor of the building and Succeed! The restaurant is excellent and make sure you explore and head out to the back patio, in the evening for a drink or meze.

We were welcomed by Harra who made sure we were settled in, car parked in the closest parking lot, and supplied us with where to go. The Veneto Suites had great beds, beautiful rooms, and fantastic restaurant at very reasonable prices. It was central (walking) to the shops, restaurants, Venetian fortress, beaches etc etc etc. Will stay again and will recommend to all our friends

The food was superb and ended up going there three times. As opposite to most places in the old town, you can sit in a quiet patio garden and enjoy a relaxed evening. The service was excellent (not in a rush) and the wine selection superb. They say they have one of the biggest wine lists in rethymno. I recommend the wild goat casserole and musaka

This was supposed to be our 1 night indulgent stay between longer stays in Maleme and Elounda. There's no doubt it's a beautiful old building but that's where the luxury ended. The kids (17 and14) beds were a day bed and a lopsided mattress, our pillows were flat as pancakes the saving grace it was only 1 night. The bathroom was badly in need of updating and looked grubby. Our room was at the top of the stairs to the restaurant and was so noisy plus the lights were left on all night and shone t... Read more

Very nice home atmosphere in all parts of the hotel. Rooms are spacious, decorated with style. I liked comfortable bed and big shower. The personel is very friendly but profesional. Great location in the old town with a lots of shops and restaurants, little bit far from the beach.

Really loved my stay in Veneto. From the moment you step into the old town of Rethymno and enter the Veneto suites you get swept away by the romantic look of this place and the suites, and you get a feel that you`ve transported into some different era. The room I stayed in was really big, and 3 floor level Windows (which appeared strange at first) gave the room a particular and soft atmosphere. The room has beautiful wooden floors and ceilings and furniture, complimented with wrought iron bed an... Read more

Last week, at the 400-years old venetian estate of Veneto restaurant, once more we had an excellent gastronomic experience. In fact, locally produced pure vegetables, cheese, meat as well as herbs and spices from Kallikratis were skillfully prepared by the restaurant's Chef to present excellent dishes with a perfect mix of traditional and modern cuisine. Really it was a new and a pleasant surprise for the way we think some local cuisine dishes with at touch of modern taste. It was a special... Read more

Our first reactions to Veneto suites was wow! And that carried on throughout our stay. We had 5 nights there as part of our honeymoon. The hostess couldn't do enough for us,she was so welcoming. Our room was a real treat. We ate at the restaurant onsite on our first night and it was one of the best meals we had in Crete. The courtyard makes it that more romantic. Amazing. Thank you.

We got the room from the tour operator and unfortunately were not able to choose. But it turned out very well. We stayed in 107 and you can see detailed and exact pictures of the rooms on the site. Because it had just 3 small windows towards the street, it was not noisy at all. Beds were comfortable, the fridge was useful, the room was cleaned every day and fresh towels provided. The bath could be better for 4 stars, but it was however ok. Wifi functioned well, which was a premiere for us in Gre... Read more

?ιάννη? and his team, including his sommelier (which I forgot her name) offer an outstanding and relaxing experience in the heart of the old town. Excellent choice of wines, tremendous food, I had a superb 4 night stay. Perfect place for a business dinner or a romantic getaway. Stroll the old streets and shops all evening long if you wish. My favorite city and the perfect place to stay:)

I loved everything about this hotel. My husband and I enjoyed our stay in Veneto for 5 nights while visiting Rethymnon. We were extremely pleased both with the facilities and the service. Our suite was large with comfortable beds and the bathroom was simply brilliant. The staff was very professional and focused on making our stay as memorable as possible. I'm more than happy to recommend this hotel.

Me in and my wife stayed at suite 106 for 4 nights in late September. The things I really loved was the clean and spacious room and bathroom, the excellent wifi and our private balcony. Above all, I loved the energy of the place it felt so peaceful and serene that I would gladly stay there for an extra week.
