The staff was really friendly and service minded - always helpful and smiling. The breakfast buffet is a great variaty of traditional dishes with a twist of the greek kitchen. The hotel is located 20 minutes by foot from the center of Kos town and 10 minutes from the beach. It is a quiet mid size hotel so you won't fight for the sunbeds or be annoyed by noisy groups of young people. Great place for families with the two (small) pools. The dishes on the menu in the restaurant are regular and sol... Read more

Just back from Kos stayed 18th August for a week with wife and 2 grown up kids, and seriously cannot fault the Aegean Houses stayed in room 411 overlooking the pool. One of the nicest hotels we have stayed at in Greece, small enough to be friendly and not a huge great complex thankfully. great bar good food and nice pool topped off with lovely friendly staff genuinely cannot fault it - thanks for a great holiday. Oh and don't be put off by media reports about Kos and the migrants there are some... Read more

I stayed there 1-15 September 2015. For service and attitude of staff, the best holiday accommodation I've stayed in. The staff were actually prepared to go out of their way to help you. How nice it is to be met daily with a friendly, smiling face from folk who appear to want to get to know you and have a good rapport with you. Our room was most adequate (after all you get what you pay for) and spotless and cleaned every day. The hotel is about 15-20 minutes not unpleasant walk into the centre... Read more

Upon arrival we were greeted by a very friendly receptionist who asked us to help ourselves to coffee, orange juice & pastries whilst she checked us in . A quick & efficient check in was followed by being told we had a free upgrade to a 1 bedroom apartment , room 221. The room was very spacious with 2 doors onto a large balcony, a decent equipped kitchen , good sized bathroom & sitting room completed this lovely apartment , even the Air Con is free. Cleaned to a good standard every day & the sta... Read more

We stayed at the Aegean houses in early September for a week , better late than never for this review, we had a wonderful time. Arrived quite late in the evening , very swift check in , coffee and cakes available if we wanted , nice touch, our room was lovely , on the first floor , not a great view , trees , but no problem. We had such a good holiday , we hired bikes on our first day for the whole week , many people do, it got us around town , and to the beach, It was Theo in the bar that put ... Read more

We stayed here for two weeks starting 15 June 2016. Would highly recommend it if you're looking for family friendly place within a reasonable walking distance from Kos town. Clean, modern, friendly and has great staff (thank you to Dimitros, Eleni, Amanda and Georgios in particular!). Take Google street view with a pinch of salt when trying to navigate around Kos. You'll get the general idea, but the cars were sent around off season (December), so the island looks bad. Particularly areas of Lam... Read more

We stayed here from June 18th for one week. What a fantastic place. The rooms and public areas are spotless. The people who work there Lainey in the day was very pleasant and efficient, Dimitrios in the bar in the evenings was entertaining and an extremely efficient bar man waiter and magician ( if you go you will find out and he makes a great g&t)The apartment was spacious and clean and had all you need from kettle to juicer. The air conditioning was brilliant and cooled the room down in minutes ... This was our first stay at the Aegean Houses and we were delighted with the whole of the accommodation and the staff. We had a superior apartment which consisted of separate kitchen, a living room with 2 settees, small tables and tv, and a large bedroom with 2 single beds, there was sufficient wardrobe and drawer storage. One of the major pluses is the large and very well maintained swimming pool. All the staff are very pleasant and helpful but a special mention must go to the barman Demetrious ... Read more

I agree with all the positive comments about the staff and the accommodation I have just returned from a two week stay and am missing the place already To add to the positive feedback two things one is the fly screens on the doors upstairs it keeps out the flying insects and downstairs the cats also And two is the little disposable bags in the bathroom for soiled toilet paper brilliant idea stops the bad odours even though the rooms are cleaned daily It is a shame that people are not booking... One week family holiday in this hotel was very pleasant. Extremely nice staff and meals and breakfast are good. Prices are reasonable, only 1 eur higher per portion than in taverns nearby but portions are quite big also. Rooms are tidy and cleaned every day. Towels and sheets are changed three times in a week. Only downside is beds that have very tough mattresses. Hotel has a nice big and clean pool with jacuzzi. In the basement you can find a sauna and gym with many devices.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here in June and had an amazing holiday. As we arrived we were greeted with a free drink as we checked in. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly. we originally booked a studio apartment and then got a free upgrade to an apartment when we arrived because they had rooms available which was a lovely surprise. The rooms were more than adequate and very spacious. i would not recommend this place to families however as i feel that there is not very much for children... Read more

Have a couple of days left of our 2 week stay at the Aegean Houses. Transfer by coach from airport approx 40 mins. Checked in very late at night, small form to complete and directed to our room. Had 2 flights of stairs to carry luggage up. ??? We have the 1 bedroom superior apartment. The living area has a door which is handy for anyone wanting privacy. Reasonable amount of storage space. Large shower. Loos are very noisy so you do hear every flush from your neighbours! Otherwise for us we've ... Read more

My husband, myself and our 2 young adult kids stayed in Apartment 325 from 9th July 2016 for 2 weeks. This was a bit of a back to basics holiday after a few years of going all inclusive in various places around the world. Our 'kids' used the sofa beds in the lounge area of the apartment which were perfectly adequate. Our son liked the fully equipped gym which he had to himself most of the time. We had a fantastic time, the apartment was clean, spacious and well appointed, and the staff were... Read more

Just come back from a weeks stay here and found the hotel immaculately clean with very welcoming and friendly staff. Pool and bar area very nice even though we chose the beach most days. Would definitely recommend for families but if you want to be nearer the action choose a hotel nearer to Kos town centre as the brochures say a 10 minute walk into the centre and it's definitely more than that.

If we didn't get apartment 303 which is below ground level, our stay would be great. When we entered the partment there was a strong smell of damp and stale air. The air condition was dripping onto the dining table. My child has asthma and this holiday was suppose to help ease her condition but it did the opposite. We asked to be moved to another appartment but were told that they have nothing available. Bathroom/toilet doesn't have a proper ventilation and that makes the situation even worse. N... Read more

I enjoyed Kos Town so much in 2015 that my holiday for 2016 had to be back there, the Aegean Houses was recommend to me by a friend and the Jet2 agent on the phone also recommend highly. The reviews on trip advisor was good so I booked and so glad that I did, it's a little out of Kos Town but I found it easy and enjoyable to walk to down to the squares and enjoy the night and then walk back (a taxi was only a couple of Euros) and there was plenty at all times. My partner and I stayed at the Aegean Houses for a week in August, and our first impression on arrival at around 10pm was how spotlessly clean, and quiet it was considering it was right on the main road. The pool is pretty amazing (the sun loungers are blooming uncomfortable though), You're only 10 minutes form the beach, so some residents would head ther... Read more

We are a family of four aged between 20 and 51. We stayed for 10 nights in Sept 2016 and had x2 one bedroom apartments. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff are helpful and friendly. The pool area is lovely, great sized pool for the size of the hotel and plenty of sunbeds so no messing around reserving beds at silly o'clock! Plenty of sun and shade too.
