We stayed here only for a night and we were greeted very warmly by the hosts even though we reached their accommodation pretty late in the day. The room itself was lovely with far-reaching sea views. The bottle of wine was a lovely touch. There were however a couple of things that bothered us - the bathroom needed a bit of work, water leaked from the shower and all over the bathroom which was slightly annoying. The air conditioner in the room was so noisy that we turned it off - thankfully the w... Read more

An excellent family hotel situated on a small hill right above the city of Chania. Enjoy your breakfast with a fantastic sea view and on the night enjoy the city as it glows.... There is a bus stop next to the hotel and a supermarket!

This little hotel is fantastic, up on the hills away from the crowds with amazing views. The bus to the city centre stops at the door and it's also very frequent, but I easily walked both ways. The hosts are very caring and helpful, and they make you feel at home. I was picked up from the airport for free, and helped up the hill to the airport bus stop when I left. The room was cleaned every day and the towels were changed everyday. All rooms have balconies and personal touches, so they do not... Read more

Chania is unique, as is Crete. Everytime I have the opportunity to come to Creta I stay in this nice hotel as I feel like home. This time I was pleased to see that the hotel room in which I stayed was renovated and also I noticed many new significant improvements. Like always the owners are welcoming and do their best to make you feel good. Efxaristo poly!

My family had a great holiday in this amazing hotel. It's located on a hill overlooking Chania ,in a very quiet neighborhood, we rented a car so getting to the city center was a matter of ten minutes . We ordered a room facing the garden but Lena the hostess offered us a room with a view to a sea as it was vacant , with no extra payment. so we could enjoy a fantastic view of a sea and Chania and amazing sunsets. The room was very nice, clean and comfortable. Every morning we enjoyed a br... Read more

I went I last week in april to this place. Lovely family hotel. It is set high up on a hillside overlooking the sea and Chania below, with beautiful views. Large, comfortable and clean room with balcony and good views. Greek hospitality at it's best. Lovely Wife and husband. The breakfast, on the verandah overlooking the city, is delicious and everything is of great quality. Easily reachable from the airport by bus. 10 min, by car, and the same to town. You can park free on the street in fro... Read more

I can't say enough about the service here. Lena and her husband were so helpful that it seemed like I was staying with family. They had the best recommendations for restaurants and beaches and would always offer a ride if they were going in that direction. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to everyone. Away from the noise but only a few minutes away from the buzz of the town.

I made my reservation at an Akrotiri but it was the wrong one but it did not matter Helen found a way to keep me there. She was so pleasant and hospital. Her hotel was quaint and home like. I could have stayed there another week or year if possible. The best part of the stay by far was the welcoming atmosphere. Thank you so much!

We stayed for one night but would have for more if we could. The rooms are really good -- we had a large bedroom with an excellent bed, then a separate room with chairs/TV/fridge, as well as a bathroom and a large balcony where you can hang clothes as well as eat/relax. The decor and feel of the place is very Cretian, very local, and the lady who runs it is very helpful and professional. It has that charm that accompanies family-run establishments. We were happy to stay there and would definitel... Read more

We spent 12 nights at Hotel Akrotiri from July 6th-18th. We woke up to a wonderful view every day. The breakfast was wonderful. We have some allergies, and Lena was very accomodating, and brought us fresh gluten free bread every day. The breakfast area is outside with white table clothes and a very nice atmosphere. Also very family friendly. We could also bring the breakfast up to the room, where we some days had late breakfast on our private balcony. There is a drying rack for drying clothe... Read more

We stayed there for three nights. The location is great since is away from the chaos but on a hill so very quiet and with a stunning view on the city. Most of the rooms have a balcony from where you can enjoy the amazing sunset on the city. By car then the city centre it's just a few minutes away. Spacious bedroom with a big hall too with character. Lots of light and quite clean. They provide bathrobes and slippers which is nice and complimentary water and wine which is very nice!
