Lato Boutique hotel is an upmarket hotel suitable for tourists or business travellers. Our room was spacious and well appointed and had a generous balcony with great views. Only 5 minutes walk to the ferry terminal, 10 minutes drive from the airport and eight or nine minutes walk from the fantastic Archaeological museum, the hotel is well located. The restaurant, Herbs', is top class, as is the breakfast smorgasbord. Staff were fantastic and very helpful.

We had a nice second floor room with a small balcony overlooking the port. The room was clean with a small stocked refrigerator. We dined at the hotel several times and also enjoyed the sumptuous breakfast buffet. We were on foot so had no issues but access by auto might be challenging. The location is close to the port, a main shopping district and common tourist locations. All staff that we interacted with were friendly and helpful. We had an issue with the in room safe which was quickly ... Read more

Very friendly helpful staff at the front desk and good location. The breakfast was very nice and the orange juice was amazing. Best I have ever had. Easy walk along the foreshore to the hotel. Bathrooms were a little small but it was updated and modern. Recommend.

Excellent location for exploring Heraklion on foot. The service was wonderful with lots of little details that add up to a lot. The complementary full buffet breakfast has a large variety of foods, generous portions and the orange juice is to die for.

Hotel was in a good location. Only a short walk from the centre of town and to a bus stop for the hop-on/hop-off bus. Rooms are not overly big and we had a room with a balcony and a sea view . Beds were extremely comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful and I really enjoyed the complimentary 15 minute massage. Would recommend!

The accommodation was nice for us, featuring our favorite shower on the trip as well as a small balcony. The location was amazingly convenient: It was less than a 10 minute walk to the bus terminal (i.e. to Knossos) and 15 from the port (we came by SeaJets ferry). We walked to nearby museums and restaurants in mere minutes. They have an extensive breakfast buffet, the largest we've seen on our trip. The staff was helpful, providing directions to Knossos as well as for further travel on Crete. T... Read more

The receptionist told me that the Lato Boutique Hotel was revamped three years ago and it shows, the decor is great fun and the rooms are very comfortable. My room was spacious with a nice bathroom and a view of the harbour from the balcony. Breakfast in the ground floor dining room offers extensive English and Greek options and a machine which makes fresh orange juice and doubles up as entertainment for children. There is a restaurant and bar on the roof which is very comfortable with amazin... Read more

We spent one night in this trendy hotel right in the heart of Heraklion. Well situated for local sights, restaurants and shopping and a quick hop to the airport. Room was clean and fragrance free which we appreciated as one of us suffers from allergies. Quite comfortable for three in a unique room with three beds. Daughter loved the complimentary massage offered in the spa. Only fault was the well lighted balcony which shone quite a bright light into our room once the lights were out. Would defi... Read more

Very comfortable room with all necessary requirements. Aircraft noise is rather dominant over the city, not just this hotel. We were unlucky that it was blowing a gale when we chose to have dinner on the roof-top restaurant and thick coats were required plus anchors for the lettuce leaves in the salad.

This hotel has amazing views. It is definitely worth paying a little more to get a room with a view. Sitting on the balcony looking over the Venetian harbour and the sea is idyllic. Herbs Restaurant is also great. Good food, wine and great service. Everyone was lovely. The location is good too.

Stunning views over the Venetian port and fortress, particularly from the junior suite on 5th floor an the Herbs garden restaurant. The location of the hotel is close to the centre of Heraklion, easily accessible to the sightseeing hop-on-hop-off bus tour, restaurants, shops and travel agents. Food in the Restaurant was wonderful, and the breakfast was exceptional, ample supply of both cooked and Cretan style breakfast. Hotel rooms were clean and well maintained, staff were both warm and welcom... Read more

My family and I spent 2 nights at the Lato Boutique Hotel. It was a nice 2 days - the hotel is extremely close to the City Center and walking distance to everything. It also had the best breakfast spread of all the hotels we stayed at during our Greece trip. The staff was excellent - helped us book an excellent private tour of the eastern region of Agio Nicolas, Elounda, Plaka, and Spanilonga Island. Thank you for a lovely stay!

I stayed here for 4 nights with my brother - we both had junior suites, although one was much nicer. Room 303 was lovely, but two tiny balconies (can be difficult to get onto with a table and two chairs on each) which didn't get any sun. 504 has an amazing rooftop balcony so for the same price i would recommend trying to stay in this one instead! Having said that, the views from both were great overlooking the port and fortress. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Rooms were cleaned to a... Read more

We stayed at the Lato for the first time having felt that the service at the Galaxy Hotel had deteriorated. we were not disappointed . we paid 90 euro for a city view room which wasa in the annexe over the road from the hotel main building and reception. the room was funky and modern. there were raki and sweet pastries left in the room. it was clean and we were not disturbed by other guests. the breakfast was good with a good range of foods. the best thing of course was the orange juicer. would ...
