Lato Boutique hotel is an upmarket hotel suitable for tourists or business travellers. Our room was spacious and well appointed and had a generous balcony with great views. Only 5 minutes walk to the ferry terminal, 10 minutes drive from the airport and eight or nine minutes walk from the fantastic Archaeological museum, the hotel is well located. The restaurant, Herbs', is top class, as is the breakfast smorgasbord. Staff were fantastic and very helpful.

We had a nice second floor room with a small balcony overlooking the port. The room was clean with a small stocked refrigerator. We dined at the hotel several times and also enjoyed the sumptuous breakfast buffet. We were on foot so had no issues but access by auto might be challenging. The location is close to the port, a main shopping district and common tourist locations. All staff that we interacted with were friendly and helpful. We had an issue with the in room safe which was quickly ... Read more

Excellent location for exploring Heraklion on foot. The service was wonderful with lots of little details that add up to a lot. The complementary full buffet breakfast has a large variety of foods, generous portions and the orange juice is to die for.

Hotel was in a good location. Only a short walk from the centre of town and to a bus stop for the hop-on/hop-off bus. Rooms are not overly big and we had a room with a balcony and a sea view . Beds were extremely comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful and I really enjoyed the complimentary 15 minute massage. Would recommend!

The accommodation was nice for us, featuring our favorite shower on the trip as well as a small balcony. The location was amazingly convenient: It was less than a 10 minute walk to the bus terminal (i.e. to Knossos) and 15 from the port (we came by SeaJets ferry). We walked to nearby museums and restaurants in mere minutes. They have an extensive breakfast buffet, the largest we've seen on our trip. The staff was helpful, providing directions to Knossos as well as for further travel on Crete. T... Read more

My room was spacious with a nice bathroom and a view of the harbour from the balcony. Breakfast in the ground floor dining room offers extensive English and Greek options and a machine which makes fresh orange juice and doubles up as entertainment for children. We spent one night in this trendy hotel right in the heart of Heraklion. Well situated for local sights, restaurants and shopping and a quick hop to the airport. Room was clean and fragrance free which we appreciated as one of us suffers from allergies. Quite comfortable for three in a unique room with three beds. Daughter loved the complimentary massage offered in the spa. Only fault was the well lighted balcony which shone quite a bright light into our room once the lights were out. Would defi... Read more

Very comfortable room with all necessary requirements. Aircraft noise is rather dominant over the city, not just this hotel. We were unlucky that it was blowing a gale when we chose to have dinner on the roof-top restaurant and thick coats were required plus anchors for the lettuce leaves in the salad.

This hotel has amazing views. It is definitely worth paying a little more to get a room with a view. Sitting on the balcony looking over the Venetian harbour and the sea is idyllic. Herbs Restaurant is also great. Good food, wine and great service. Everyone was lovely. The location is good too.

Stunning views over the Venetian port and fortress, particularly from the junior suite on 5th floor an the Herbs garden restaurant. The location of the hotel is close to the centre of Heraklion, easily accessible to the sightseeing hop-on-hop-off bus tour, restaurants, shops and travel agents. My family and I spent 2 nights at the Lato Boutique Hotel. It was a nice 2 days - the hotel is extremely close to the City Center and walking distance to everything. It also had the best breakfast spread of all the hotels we stayed at during our Greece trip. The staff was excellent - helped us book an excellent private tour of the eastern region of Agio Nicolas, Elounda, Plaka, and Spanilonga Island. Thank you for a lovely stay!

I stayed here for 4 nights with my brother - we both had junior suites, although one was much nicer. Room 303 was lovely, but two tiny balconies (can be difficult to get onto with a table and two chairs on each) which didn't get any sun. 504 has an amazing rooftop balcony so for the same price i would recommend trying to stay in this one instead! The reception was very courteous and the room was efficiently appointed. the a/c worked well. My main kudo for this place though was the outstanding Creetan/Greek buffet breakfast. Everything was delicious and there were so many food choices. I did not leave there hungry. To me, I'd return for the breakfast itself. The hotel was a very good value and priced well. The only issue was the hotel's location was a little hard to locate on google maps. We found it though and glad we did.

Well located by the Venetian Harbour and for exploring the heart of Heraklion. Modern small well equipped room and en-suite with a little balcony overlooking the stunning harbour. Clinical rather than personal service from the staff, but helpful when required. The Herb Garden restaurant on the top floor was excellent. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We ate here twice in our 3 night stay it was so good with a wonderful ambience overlooking the harbour as the sun sets.

Booked a Junior Suite Sea View based on information on the hotel website, which showed a large balcony with table and sea views. Lovely place right by the bus terminal so easy to find. We had a Junior Suite and had wonderful view of the venetian castle. The room was really spacious with nice touches-wine and fruit etc. Breakfast was spectacular. Didn't have time to use the spa, but was offered a free massage. Helpful staff on reception also. Didn't use roof top restaurant other than for a quick drink. Would definitely go again when in town,

We have stayed a few times in the higher category rooms here. These are nice and spacious, in a modern style with views of the Venetian fort. The hotel is well located in the centre of Heraklion, a short walk from the main shopping streets and the superb Archeological Museum. It's also a fairly short taxi ride to the airport. The breakfast buffet is good with nice fresh orange juice but mediocre coffee from a machine with a Dutch-sounding name. The restaurant has good Greek food with moder... Read more

A perfect place to stay with a great atmosphere. Very well organized, offers all the luxuries a traveler needs. Excellent spa, fantastic food and view in the terrace. The personel is very kind and friendly.

Excellent location , everything OK People very professional but little smile would not hurt. Breakfast was just OK Hotel good shape but needs attention to details, sloppy wall paint everywhere. We had two room unit with two TV but only one remote control for them. Exclusive room 323 is very noisy at midnight when they close the restaurant right above and they start move all the tables and chairs.

Basic, clean and centrally located to the town centre and all the museums. Staff were the most helpful that I've ever encountered. Short walk to the pier where you can have a couple of drinks and watch the sunset.

We stayed at this hotel for one night as a side trip during our recent holiday to stalis. The hotel is a 5 minute walk to the port, shops, bars and restaurants. We stayed in an executive suite on the top floor. Our balcony was huge with panoramic views over the port. The staff were really great. We will be back again next year.

This is a great hotel located Heraklion down town! Personnel offers free of charge parking service. There is also a restaurant on the hotel with a great view. The breakfast offers a Greek - Cretan variety and covers all tastes! It is excellent! The only drawback is that second day didn't fill bathroom with soap & shampoo. However I am sure that if we asked, the would have brought us! Personnel very friendly! Well recommended!

Nice hotel. Cosmopolitan feeling, Nice breakfast (should call off the hot beverages machine for an italian coffe/cappuccino machine with barman). Nice roof top restaurant (great food And Nice view). Very friendly staff. There is a SPA. Very close to main points of attraction.
